Phil married a psychopath with a violent history, Chris abused his body horribly with drugs and alcohol. We're all grown ups here (well, most of us). It's sad they're gone, but bad choices sometimes equals bad results.
I saw Chris Farley in a resturant in Santa Monica about 1995, Ihe was very calm and I do remember I watched him eat a burger. He was with a group of guys hanging out.
despite all that they are both geniuses...let this be said before i get attacked.....i love them both...great influences on anyone who wants to get into comedy....beautiful,lovable souls who live on in memory
Ah, Chris. Ironically, during college we used to stop whatever shenanigans were going on in the hallway and shout "Wait! Shhh! Wait! You guys! Look! Look! Watch!" whenever Farley came on screen. Everything stopped for SNL back in those days. Back when they were still funny. God bless ya my darling friend.
I feel like the term genius is thrown around way to much today,
but these two men were both greats and deserve to be called comedic geniuses.
It's really sad that most (emphasis on most, not all) of the people who were as good and some better than them have some truly heartbreaking stories, wether the beginning or end of their lives. (Even though some who are as great as them are not at the end of their lives yet.)
@kylemcgrath14 - It's the instrumental introduction before "Everybody needs somebody to love" from the 1980 "Blues Brothers" movie (before the actual final song), where Cab Calloway (Minnie the Moocher) introduces them.

John Belushi (who was Farley's idol) too would make entries with cartwheels like Farley does here.
Phil was SO good …. top of his game. even The Simpson's never fully recovered from losing their two best recurring characters he played …. What a loss
i love the fact they played some Otis Redding before Farley got up there. can't turn you loose baby, oh and when Dave wipes the chocolate from his face and kisses him on the cheek? just adorable
Dear Chris stayed at the Four Seassons in Toronro that year and being a lifetime rez of gorgeous Toronto we visited him and he was soo very wonderful to us ...Rest now sweetheart,
you could always tell that Chris knew being a celebrity, was a dream come true & that he was living the dream! It was nice to see someone make it big that really deserved it. R.I.P
@puresickmermaid they would've been huge stars if they didn't pass away, not saying that they weren't huge at that time but I mean they would've been much much bigger. Same with some singers like Aaliyaah if she was alive Beyonce wouldn't be as big as she is now. Just my opinion.
Oh, I understand what you're saying now. Yeah, it is difficult to understand what Farley is saying. The closest I can get after a dozen times is, "You kissed Samuel Jack ... Larry Green..." but that doesn't make any sense.
@Rakk69 Yeah thanks! I wasn't going to put it up originally but needed a reason so I put up the Hartman clip that was on the same tape anyway! Mine is edited a bit thoough from back then
lol HE reminds me of peter griffin!!!!

@gorillaz123ification Love Conan, but Dave's still king, sorry. And all the other late night guys would agree.

@theodorelaurence Why apologize?David Letterman will always be the Late Night King...All these other guys are just pretenders to the comedy throne.
KellyGreen5555 6 months ago
@gorillaz123ification I could not disagree with you more...Letterman is the greatest. Conan worships him and rightly so.

If Phil were still alive , he would be the biggest star today. Huge talent, great humor. Tragic loss.
