LOL great playing!!!. Its amazing tho eddie just makes it up as he goes! thats real talent. theres some excellent copy cats on youtube but can you take his style and use it in your own playing. Ive learned loads of his licks i find theres something very bluesy about them . I bet if you asked eddie too reply the live without a net version on this, he would not remember half of what he played that night..he is class!

I think your tremolo picking will improve if you try to move your wrist only and try to mimimize your arm movement. You can really see Eddie's wrist movement well in the tremolo picking part of the solo in Live Without A Net...

Just to clarify...this wasn't a Van Halen song - it was a Sammy Hagar solo effort from the Standing Hampton album released in 1981, some 5 years before he joined VH.

Granted the LWAN live version is a killer cover...but let's remember where the song comes from...Sammy, not Eddie...although I must admit, EVH does take it to another level. :)
