i really hope PVP is more intense then what they are just showing... from what i just saw from this video i see a lot of the ranged characters just sitting around in one place being attacked down by melee without even trying to kite

I'm a SW fan since i was a small child, and i'd love to play that game, but I hate the gameplay so much. It's like "dude, let's get locked in a fight and stay at the same place, pushing some buttons" - and I got enough from that through WoW. Where's dodging, why do lightsabers look like glowing sticks, where's the dynamic movement?
I really REALLY hope it NEVER will be arena shit! battlegrounds etc is SO much cooler! at least not arena like in world of crapcraft.. @HaseoOkami Battlegrounds in world of warcraft i NEVER had lagg, there was never an issue there for me at least. I find battlegrouds SO much cooler then boring arena 2vs2 etc at a small arena. Big battlegrounds always win, but thats my personal view. Wow was perfect when 60 was max lvl, the game was hard, get best pvp gear was REALLY hard and the titles, and raiding was also somewhat hard, ALOT harder then wow today, the game is broken now. At least how i feel.

From what Ive seen, its easier to make money when you get a customer hooked on a game, and THEN charge them for things that will substantially improve their gameplay instead of forcing people to buy it every month. Or perhaps a lifetime subscription payment. But a game like World Of Tanks for example, I like it a lot. and I spend a lot of money on the in game gold to get stuff, while it is a free to play game.

@howielupus I dont like mmo's. I feel the time required to play them and really get the experience intended is more than I'm willing to give. Yet I enjoy RPG's, and the freedom to be part of an expansive and epic story line. From what i've seen as well, single player RPG's have stories that are much more in depth than mmo's. You get the feeling that you and you alone have a huge impact on the course of history. And finally, I don't want to pay monthly fees for a game I just paid $60+ for.
@howielupus also, i've been wanting a kotor 3 ever since I finished kotor 2. From what i've read, the "story content" in TOR would basically be a spoiler for any potential kotor 3. For me, and many of the fans of the kotor franchise, this series has been ruined for us with lucasarts refusal to conclude the trilogy, and the subsequent release of TOR. The whole point was wanting to finish the story that Revan started. It can't be finished now with the release of TOR.
@wulfio Yeah as a huge fan of the first 2 I definitely see your point. I think lucasarts decided tor could make more money, like you said $60 up front than $15 a month for years, potentially, really sounds appealing from a business standpoint. yeah mmo's usually suck story-wise, but this looks to be a little better, so i'll try out some of the classes just to play through the stories probably, since that's the best continuation from kotor i can get :(

ahh its going to be bad:( i don't know if you see it but i think its tour based gameplay like the older Old Republic games and that sucked. I think the best games were Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy because of the fights in Real Time and i mean "real time" like wholely controlable and not "put 3 sets of attacs in a row and watch how your character does them on his own" i hate this kind of gameplay its almost like J-RPG's
@Epionea Nah force unleashed is way better and involving but the majority of the players arent as quick and dynamic and such combat gameplay might frustrate them. Check out DC universe for a real combat system.
@Marcinex it's not turned based look at the multiplayer demo its actually real time. This is just for cinematic to show off the moves. They have stated many times that the combat is in real time.

I don't see any graphic flaws at all... Just compare the 3D models to any MMO's in the market you can clearly see the improvements -- better edges and better rendering. So when people say the graphic is "shitty" I don't know if they actually mean the cartoonish style...

@Sinbiont1 Oh right!,so thats what MMO & WOW mean,thank you for educating me on this.I did not know that this star wars game was gonna be an MMO(see im learning)sort of game,i thought it was gonna be more like a mass effect single player sort of game,which is why i was not too impressed with what i had seen.But of coarse being an MMO game,the graphics would indeed have to be toned down to release pressure off the servers as you rightly mentioned.Still not my cup of tea but hope u all enjoy :-)

what a shame this games combat systems are the complete opposite of what people want. people want FPS where gameplay is skill based instead of dualing where the higher levelled person always wins and the space combat is a tunnel system instead of free roam. shame...thats a subscription fee that the producers wont be getting from me

@howielupus I dont like mmo's. I feel the time required to play them and really get the experience intended is more than I'm willing to give. Yet I enjoy RPG's, and the freedom to be part of an expansive and epic story line. From what i've seen as well, single player RPG's have stories that are much more in depth than mmo's. You get the feeling that you and you alone have a huge impact on the course of history. And finally, I don't want to pay monthly fees for a game I just paid $60+ for.

@howielupus also, i've been wanting a kotor 3 ever since I finished kotor 2. From what i've read, the "story content" in TOR would basically be a spoiler for any potential kotor 3. For me, and many of the fans of the kotor franchise, this series has been ruined for us with lucasarts refusal to conclude the trilogy, and the subsequent release of TOR. The whole point was wanting to finish the story that Revan started. It can't be finished now with the release of TOR.

I think lucasarts decided tor could make more money, like you said $60 up front than $15 a month for years, potentially, really sounds appealing from a business standpoint. yeah mmo's usually suck story-wise, but this looks to be a little better, so i'll try out some of the classes just to play through the stories probably, since that's the best continuation from kotor i can get :(

ahh its going to be bad:( i don't know if you see it but i think its tour based gameplay like the older Old Republic games and that sucked. I think the best games were Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy because of the fights in Real Time and i mean "real time" like wholely controlable and not "put 3 sets of attacs in a row and watch how your character does them on his own" i hate this kind of gameplay its almost like J-RPG's

I don't see any graphic flaws at all... Just compare the 3D models to any MMO's in the market you can clearly see the improvements -- better edges and better rendering. So when people say the graphic is "shitty" I don't know if they actually mean the cartoonish style...
