  • the second saddest day in mariners history.... the first is when Dave Niehaus past away

  • bestt swing in baseball

  • One of the BEST players to play the game and will be first ballot HALL OF FAMER FOR SURE!!!

  • The smoothest swing I've ever seen

  • First Ballad hall of famer no doubt, Griffey was without a doubt the most exciting and explosive player I've ever seen step on a baseball field

  • Still my favorite baseball player of all time

  • this era's willie mays!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • see ya in cooperstown jr

  • He would be the home run king if he wasn't hurt all those times. He would have had close to or had 800 home runs. He was a great ball player.

  • Who the fuck disliked this?????

  • One of the best pure all around baseball players if not the best! Thanks Jr

  • Did anyone consider that the person who disliked the video may just be "thumbs downing" it because it's sad a baseball legend retired?

  • 1 person isnt a real baseball fan.... how the hell do you give this video a thumbs down?!?!!?

Griffey, you are baseball. truely played for the love of the game! only thing bigger than your homeruns, is your heart!!

  • dont ever delete this from youtube

  • The 1 person who disliked this video thinks he's the greatest Cincinnati Red of all time.....which he is by default.

  • Jr. is the Michael Jordan of baseball, he had it all, and he is the hands down best.

  • Let's really take a look at what Griffey did in his prime and when he did it (1996-1999). Take out all the numbers of those who cheated (JUICED!!!) and what Griffey did clean... Dominated!!! Thank you Junior thrilling us day in and day out! Thanks for the upload!

    P.S Griffey = Yankee Killer!

  • JR makes me so proud to be a mariners fan period....... one of the best ever if not the best

  • best mlb player of all time!!! Love u griffey jr. !!!!

  • From a Cincinnati fan, Griffey was my fav playewr ever, no matter the team. He was the best there ever was because he didn't need anything to boost his performance. He was THAT good.

  • video brought a tear to my eye... griffey is always going to be the greatest of all time in my opinion

  • the reason that i am a mariners fan and always will be first of all a griffey fan.

  • Griffey 2015 Hall of Fame!

  • ken griffey jr. man i was hoping that he would beat babe ruth's records but even though he was one of the best players in history thank you jr you can leave the greatest sport in the world knowing you have accomplished something

  • greatest player in mlb history.idc what anyone says.

  • I used to idolize jr. as a kid growing up... I had his posters plastered on my wall, had a binder full of his cards, wore my cap backwards in batting practice, and even switched my number from 24 to 30 when he got traded. As a centerfielder, I can say Griffey pushed me to be the best player at my position in any league I played in...Gonna fucking miss the kid.

  • Griffey we're gonna miss you.

  • best video ever thanks for this!

  • Thanks JR

  • What greatness. To do what he did, without the taint of sterioids. He was the last of the greatest "baseball stars''. He had swagger, and he had the talent to accompany his walk. On top of that he was a Yankee Killer who never became a pinstripe prostitute. Big part of my childhood. I still remember how I use to imitate his stance as a kid playing in the RBI league.

  • born and raised in Maine meant I had to stay up late to watch those games. Those are the times that I will never forget, especially the 95 ALDS. He was a good ball player but an eve better person. Never sought the limelight and never brought attention to himself off the field. Baseball will not be the same in an era where money and individuality are the motivating factors behind players actions...Thank you for the memories Grif. In Junior We Trust.

  • ken griffey jr and jim thome are the two most underrated power hitters of all time!!! the only time i saw griffey play live was when he daybiewed in kansas city with the whitesox..

  • Game 5 1995 ALDS. Behind my son being born, andwatching Ohio State win the National in 2002 with my dad, best day of my life.

  • This man is the FRANCHISE. You might as call them the Seattle Juniors.

  • what did you flm that with?

  • Canon Powershot SX20

  • @l3igshea24 some camera right? I have the same one. I say one of if not the greatest hitter of all time, who agrees?

  • If anyone deserved to be in a WS, this is the man .. proof that God doesnt exist...

  • Goodbye baseball...HELLO COOPERSTOWN!! Certainly one of the best ever.

  • all i have to say is.... GRIFFEY HIT 600 HOMERUNS WITHOUT STEROIDS AND EVEYTHING ELS HE DID

  • it would be so damn funny if when he gets into the hall of fame he chooses to put the reds as his team instead of the mariners.

  • @MoneyOverBitches81

Doesn't work that way. The HOF picks.

  • @MoneyOverBitches81 He would never.

  • WOW!!! Watching that video sure brought back some old old memories. Without a doubt the best swing in baseball, if injuries wouldn't have plagued him maybe the homerun record wouldn't be tainted.

  • Dude, him walking after the crack of that bat was so awesome

  • griffey is defiantly the most original baseball player, one of the greatest too

  • constantly practiced swinging like him and wore my hat backwards A TRU ROLE MODEL! and first ballot hall of famer no doubt!

  • i love griffeys swing is soo dam sweet n im sure gonna miss him i almost cried watchin dis video im not gonna lie

  • hes gunna get the highest acception rate for the hall of fame everyone loves.. him

  • Thank you SO much for putting this on! I NEVER got to see him play in person, Im only 17 and I went to a game 4 days after he retired....I really wish I would have gotten to see him.

  • one of the baddest son of a bitches to ever play the game

  • First round hall of famer, thumbs up if you agree.

  • Griffey should get in the hall on his first ballot which would be 2015

  • Man! No more Griffey.............He was the reason why I even picked up a basball bat when I was younger.

  • @Mrbaltimore2001 SAME HERE! :)

  • The greatest Mariner ever. He would have been one of the top three EVER if he had never gotten hurt and stayed in better shape.

  • wow amazing video ... cant believe JR has offcially retired from the game ... i thought he would play forever... truly the best baseball player to ever play the game..... it was a sad day when i heard he retired! there will never be another "THE KID"

  • im going tonight we better win.. GO MARINERS!!!

  • great video Griffey is the best mariner EVER

  • great video...thanks for posting. Junior is one of the greats

  • Definitely the greatest baseball player ever, I remember the 1994 All Star game of him hitting homeruns in Pittsburgh during the home run derby, and I really wish he would of stayed healthy because he would of hit so many more homeruns, the fact that he hit 630 homeruns and did it without taking steroids and he played in the steroids era was truly amazing, and I'm glad to still have my Ken Griffey Jr baseball cards that collected as a kid

  • I think everyone who grew up in the 90's loves this guy no matter what team you root for. A true legend, and a class act all the way.

  • We knew he was going to retire, but we didn't know when. This was an absolute shock to have him go so soon. It makes you wish people hadn't bothered making such a fuss over the sleeping scandal that's not even true. We love you, Junior. Thanks for everything. The best there'll ever be. We will never forget you. Thank you so much for this post, man.

  • Thanks for uploading this! Never got to see him play in person but I'll always remember trying to catch fly balls like him when I was a kid. I'm off to play his N64 game now...

  • As a life long reds fan jr. will be missed!!!!

  • I not going to lie i cried watching this video. i have been a Mariners fan all my life and always will be. We Love you Jr hate to see you leave so soon.

  • @jeff10ever so soon? what the fuck r u taling about he played for 21 years u lil fucker.

  • @jeff10ever for me as a seattle sports junior is one of the sadest days ever, the sonics just edge him and i mean just edge him out sad

  • @jeff10ever im a phils fan,but i too was lucky enough to grow up during juniors prime and i was always a big fan of his.still breaks my heart to think of what could have..SHOULD have been if not for all the damn injuries.greatest player of all time imo.

  • @jeff10ever i feel you man. i was born the day of his first homerun ever, and i hit my first homerun ever when he hit his 630th. always been a Griffey fan,

  • @jeff10ever add the combo of Dave calling most of those highlights... Sad times

  • thanks for playing it how its supposed to be played kid. man were you fun to watch. I cant wait to tell my kids about seeing the games greatest play

  • Greatest player to ever step on the field! We will miss you Kid!
