Why are people even comparing Christina, Etta, and Beyonce. Their all different artists and don't even sing similar songs. Chrsitina is mainly pop, Beyonce is R&B, and Etta is Jazz. Christina idolizes Etta. I won't say Etta made Christina, because Christina would have been singing either way - but Etta's influence was a huge motivating factor and really helped Christina perfect a very unique style of singing.

They're music shouldn't be compared though. Etta's in a league of *her own.* I think comparing there styles of singing and how much soul they each put into their performances/records is more appropriate.
