  • one of the best movie music of all time!

  • RIP legend!

  • Hi to anyone who may know. I heard Mauric Jarre music in the movie "Something Borrowed" called Maddness, but cannot seem to locate it on YouTube. Anyone have it and care to post it? Many thanks. -Kara

  • to Bobbengan: do you still have the mp3 for this piece? Searched the net for it and couldn't get. Would you be able to send to me if so?

    Thanks

  • @cfhussain You should download a YouTube file converter! It'll turn it into the mp3 file you want! :)

  • Best Horror in my life !!!

  • The piano part reminds me of SH theme.

  • @DiMak2109 Infact the makers of silent hill took inspiration from jacob's ladder for the game

  • What an unsettling piece of music. Both beautiful and unnerving at the same time.

  • @persia1324 Why do you think the film is racist?

  • it took me ages to shake this movie , awesome film. i saw this in 2003 on sci fi channel

  • I could see this movie a million times and still be amazed by it. The playing of Tim Robbins, the beauty of the pictures, both frightening and beautiful, this incredible music, the beauty of Jezebel... one of the best movies I've ever seen.

  • It sounds exactly like Kane's theme fromm WWE but more sad and darker.

  • This sounds like Kane's theme from the WWE. But more sadder and darker

  • This is also one of the scariest and most disturbing movies ever.

  • This is by far one of the best movies of all time. The images, the cinematography, and the absolutely beautiful score moved me from the moment i watched it. I saw it nearly 20 years ago and it still moves me. They will never make a movie like this again...

  • i feel in love with this piece last night.

  • This flick isn't bashful and it knows exactly what it wants to say. Vicious at times, but it was necessary to get the point across. Adrian Lynne knew what he was doing. Of course Jarre's score was amazing, very effective. Incredible talents, both of 'em.

  • I remember watching this when it came out on video,I was about 10 at the time, didn't really understand it the first time.watched it again and I was blown away when I'd figured it out.

will always be one of my favourites.

thanks a mil to the uploader.

  • Is it possible that they have piano sheet music for this theme?

  • I'm so with you all on this one, the fact also that I'm hardly an Adrian Lynne fan but he completely knocked me on my ass with this masterpiece - sad, haunting, brilliantly written, acted (can Tim Robbins be anymore of an uber legend than he is already?!) and for my money, it contains some of the most burn-a-hole in your retina frightening images that no amount of modern CGI or OTT wanky FX can even begin to match up too.

Just a brilliant, brilliant work of art on all levels.

  • amazing

  • Oh, absolutely. I sawe this film for the first time on rental once and it blew me away completely. So sad, but strangely uplifting at the same time. Really makes you appreciate life and helps you accept death in some ways too. And I also think this is one of Maurice Jarre's finest scores too. Absolutely beautiful. Shame that it wasn't a big hit, but so many great films always suffer at the box office when up against other hits, but it only serves to make it appreciated for longer.

  • Great score!

  • This is just so beautiful.

  • wich tracks did you edit ?

  • great song < good progression

  • where did you find this track?? as far as I know there is no cd available for this soundtrack

  • its a sweet and melancolic theme in the same time, i like that movie thks for submit the theme of the movie :D

  • Beautiful score.

  • Nice film, I discovered it randomly, I've been very lucky.

  • Such true things, couple from way of life...

  • I wish more songs from this soundtrack could be uploaded.

  • @GorgonSerpent

I have the entire soundtrack to this movie come visit my channel and let others know also.

  • Very nicely edited together - I have the CD but you picked out the best of it. Like the other guy said, these excerpts from the Maurice Jarre score send shivers down your spine. Jarre was a great movie scorer.

  • I remember watching this movie after I had lost several close friends. I watched it to have a good cry at the ending but then I couldn't stop crying. Beautiful movie, though.

  • @Progo35 Dont watch it on LSD

  • @Progo35 thats the magic of movies ;) sorry about your friends by the way :/

  • @Progo35 the ending has me crying like a little girl

  • the ending really did surprise me maybe it was cause i was 16 but still it sticks with you

  • A real classic for me, one of the best movies I've ever seen, the song maybe inspired Akira Yamaoka?

  • this gives me goose bumps and i love that about this sountrack.without the songs in this movie it would have flop

  • this movie is amazing

  • sad and beautiful track

  • aww love the theme song really

  • really scary movie everyone should watch it

  • i agree with you...

  • I agree. This is one of the most underrated (and most frightening) films ever made. It's a shame that the public did not take to it when it was released. That year saw the release of numerous huge films - The Godfather III, Dances with Wolves, Home Alone, GoodFellas - that it was pretty hard to compete.

  • @frtw4428

    i agree so much

    so underrated!

  • Oh my how I love this score. Thank you for posting this!

  • can u stil by this as a cd

  • This song absolutely touches your soul.

  • it takes an excellent score to make an excellent movie, and this is no exception.

  • This is a tribute to the this great film, to life and it's end,. From joy to sadness, accepting what is unbearable and finally peace.

  • You just realized all my fantasies by posting this.

  • Damn awesome, i love this piece, and even though i don't know very well this composer, he must be great... well he was...

  • B1/1 2nd plt Reyes

  • It touches your soul. RIP Jarre

  • Magnifique Magnifique Magnifique !!!

  • Magnificent.

  • amazing theme, one of the best in this genre of film

  • I agree. This is brilliant score and definitely one of the most touching ever written for any movie. Thank you for posting this.
