  • Nice vid!

  • I have this exact model. Bought it at Best Buys for $399.00 advertised price. Coolest feature is the attachable external tank. Similar models go for around $600.00 and they are not any better. Ur just paying for name brand. I highly recommend this model.

  • What is the purpose for Dual hose? Can it sucks outside air into the intake when you're just using a fan mote??? the reason i ask because at night times the weather outdoor r much cooler then indoor. it would be great if it can use just a fan mote to sucks in cool breeze from outside to circulate.

  • You only need the exhaust hose vented to the outside. The exhaust pushes out hot air and you definitely don't want that venting into a room you are trying to cool down. I have mine setup with only the exhaust hose venting outside. I work at an appliance store and picked mine up for $75. It also works as a dehumidifier which is a plus. Mine works great and cools my basement off very well.

  • you could use a window unit in a horizontal sliding window if you fill the open space in the window with a piece of plywood

  • I don't think the cooling mode is on in this video, it looks like it's just the fan running on low because there is no sound at all. is it true?

  • damn this is expensive.. $432.25 + $109.08 s&h = $541.33 Buy.com....the unit is in auto when u use the remote u then would program it with the remote and it should be in that mode when u use the remote to turn it on

  • hi EnduranceT,

I received today a Danby DPAC7008 air conditioner. Installing was very easy and it's cooling fine but the noise is very loud. I just want to know if yours do loud noise when it's on cooling mode louder than while it's on fan, because mine do this "buzz" noise when the compressor is on and it's really annoying. when you made the video the AC was on cooling or fan mode? because it was really quiet.

    thanks

  • @KalosKage Believe it or not, it's on cooling mode here. There is a slight buzz but it shouldn't be THAT loud. I can sleep with it right next to my bed on high...

  • great review, thanks!!

  • Thanks for the video!

I have the same model and wasn't sure about how to install the plastic window extension (my window opens the same way as yours). I didn't want to saw it shorter if I didn't have to and see that I do need to cut it. The instruction manual is slightly lacking in every way possible! Thanks again!!

  • Great review man. Thank you

  • as big as your bed

  • I just bought this 12000 BTU unit for my bedroom. It cools down great with 100 degree weather outside, and is quiet enough for me sleep. I got mine online for $397 which included shipping. You will need to do some web searches to find the best deal.

Dual Hose Units are the way to go for better efficiency as their is no negative pressure that you get with a single hose unit.

  • you forgot to mention how much it costs :)

  • 12000BTU...in a bed room...dang!

  • LOL no shit! :D

  • Hello , I want to know if this one cools the room well and if this makes a lot of noise?, Im planning to buy one like this

    Thanks, nice review.

  • It depends on your room size. Mine is a medium-sized bedroom and on a real hot day, it can take up to 2 hours on high to get the temperature down to the 60s. It's not too loud. I can sleep right next to it while it's on high and I'm picky

  • nice review , just bought this a c setting it up now, I got a problem i have a large fish tank covering half of the only window i can vent the vents out of , and can only fit one hose. I dont see why it would need an intake from outside anyway , I should be able to just vent the one exhaust hose outside and have the intake hose loose inside right? your thoughts....
