  • Louis CK AND Bill Maher!

  • He makes a very valid point, Carlin i mean. Even if our wildest dreams come true and someday we get to speak and interact freely with aliens how will we appear to them when we do so many bad things? How could we ever make excuses for the horrible being we are.

  • Two of my favorite humanists.

  • Hercule!

  • nasholes. i love it.

  • Goddamnit I miss Frank.

  • These are brilliant clips. Frank Zappa,Robert Anton Wilson, and George Carlin carried on the grand tradition of people like H.L.Mencken,Ambrose Bierce, and Mark Twain. Thanks for posting these!

  • I have watched every carlin hbo every interview read & listened to every book scoured the internet for every last bit of carlin & I want more. watching other comedians is just boring now, with the exception of hicks & pryor. but theyre both dead & Ive seen all their shit too. Saw some joe rogan the other day seems like he is evolving nicely but still not quite there Anyone know of any intellectual comedians out there? everyone I like is dead & therefore unlikely to release any new material.

  • @stevensonjames26 I think Louis CK is a damn good comic.

  • @drivenmadnessband Yeah! I've only seen bout half hour of his stuff .Thought he was good. I'll have another look as he has a few shows, I just dont like self derogatoy comedy that much, it strikes me as weak & insecure, being humble is different

  • @stevensonjames26 He was one of the few comics that George's family ask to speak at his eulogy.

  • @drivenmadnessband Wow didnt know that, I'm watching "hilarious" just now, its living up to its name good suggestion thanx.

  • @stevensonjames26 I second that!

  • @stevensonjames26 jim jefferies

  • @stevensonjames26 Maybe Bill Maher, Lewis Black, Robin Williams, Eddie Izzard, Louis CK or Dough Stanhope? So you know, Doug Stanhope should have a parental advisory sticker on his forehead..No limits for that guy.. hehe. And i totally agree with you, Hicks, Pryor and Carlin are all legends! Carlin is my personal favorite, may he now have the knowledge of where all the things he lost in his time on earth had gone.

  • @stevensonjames26 Thats because common sense is being drove out of society.People like to say George was a genius, I say he was obvious.

  • @TheBudhistpunk Yeah! I can also remember him saying in an interview that he didnt think anyone could do his style of comedy in this era

Toward the end of his life he was definitely too hip for the room. I know he was booed off stage in las vegas doing his beheading bit.

I am rereading brain droppings again as it is my fav book & i reccommend it to everyone. I also dont think he thought of himself as a genius just an entertainer trying to be an artist the jester philosopher poet

  • @stevensonjames26 lewis black is decent

  • @stevensonjames26 Looks like I'm pretty late to the party here, but if you haven't already, listen to Stewart Lee. He was a top man.

Although he's not a comedian per se, Henry Rollins' "spoken word" material scarcely fails to make me feel less shit about being human.

  • @stevensonjames26 Try Greg Giraldo

  • @CisforCock good suggestion thx!

  • @stevensonjames26

You need to watch some Doug Stanhope.

  • @stevensonjames26 Try Steve Hughes, there are some videos of him on youtube and he's still going. I went to see him in Dublin there last month. Very good comedian, similar to Hicks and Carlin, Try his being offended bit on the comedy roadshow, it's up on youtube. Very intelligent man, he reminds me alot of Zappa.

  • I just made destructive music

  • If the U.S. did find life on another planet, they would quickly declare war on it.

  • this dumbass thought it was gonna be Zappa & Carlin talking with each other. not a combonation of clips

  • @PrankZabba don't call yourself a dumbass! Clearly you're an idiot at best....

  • @drivenmadnessband I love this comment.

  • Wow Mr Zappa got it spot on! What a genius mind.

  • Does anyone not see the irony of trolling this video with dumbass comments? I mean, the video is about idiots making things worse, for the rest of the human race, and low and behold. You come here and prove the point! LMAO

  • Two of my friggin' heroes. Along with Bill Hicks :)

  • @mewrth And by God how much they are missed!!!!!.

  • @Stoner075 Although I'm not really a believer.

  • What Zappa said shows some general concern. But I don't see how if aliens do contact us they would do so with such naivety as to give us knowledge and not assure that THIS TIME we use it properly. If they don't know human history or don't watch the six oclock news then they really are not superior entities and should probably stay out of tampering with humanity. That's like the arrogance that man has when he tries to control nature. Hmmmm, who said that?

  • @Homie0static You make me think of the crazy woman who pepper sprayed the crowd around her, to get an Xbox, this past Black Friday. lol

  • @drivenmadnessband I take great offense to that comment. Great offense indeed. I would never do such a thing.....for an XBOX. I have higher standards. Give me a PS3 and I will do that, taser a horse, throw feces at an Occupy X member and kick a random gentleman in the grapes. XBOX???? What decade are you living in?

  • @Homie0static I'm not gonna debate about an Xbox on youtube. That would be a new low for me.

  • @Homie0static I surely dont think they care about us or our history or six o'clock news..lol

  • George Carlin and Frank Zappa are right, humans are fucking everything up that god made.

  • George was/is my hero but he has no pity for the people who have the disease (which according to him we are all diseased) of narcissistic personality disorder. There is no pity from him. Well maybe some tempered with wonder. He did after all view the species with sympathetic contempt. What a dichotomy. I don't know if evil really exists but if it does it stems from self negelct and a lack of honest introspection. You can be pissed off or correct the problem. Which do you choose?

  • @Homie0static I choose to bitchslap the grammar nazi's! LOL Damn good rant. Watch out though. There are people who come on here with no valid argument, but thinking they will prove some type of epic point, by pointing out a typo. You know? The cornerstone of ever decent debater. lmao

  • @Homie0static or you can just respect what they do and say and let the good times roll... they have had a postive effect on people and will continue to as long as their valued and remembered.

and dont forget to laugh! :)

  • @selfresonator meant to type *their work is valued... etc.

  • @selfresonator and dont forget frank is god the end.

  • @selfresonator Don't get concerned about typo's here. Only someone with no debate, and a shit attitude, will use a slip on the keyboard to make a point. They have one point, and that is: They don't have a point~! lol

  • Zappa completely missed the point of space exploration.

  • @CaramelMarshmallow It's just a perspective. It is what it is.

  • @drivenmadnessband Yes, but his entire premise is wrong. The point of space exploration is not to find another intelligent civilization.

  • @CaramelMarshmallow intelligent civilization? Like ours? LMAO

  • @drivenmadnessband Considering humans have developed a written language, an agrarian civilization, philosophy, art, music, climate control, vaccines for diseases that we can't even see, giant pieces of melted rock that run on the remains of animals, crafts that can carry people thousands of miles through a desolate vacuum, technology that can change the genetic code of any living being, and technology that can move subatomic particles at near the speed of light, I would say we're intelligent.

  • @CaramelMarshmallow But, are you happy?

  • @CaramelMarshmallow yes we are intelligent, but we are also destructive. all the wars, crimes & destruction because of religion, power, greed, arrogance etc. thoughout the entire history of man. maybe that´s our true nature, and we´re just too dumb or too cowardly to admit it.

Zappa´s point is not so far-fetched: exploring space implies our search for a superior intelligence from whom we could learn.

but logically, if there is such a species, they´d either ommit us, or destroy us.

  • @harpiyon Omit and destroy is the same thing.

  • @CaramelMarshmallow well whatever, they would´t really want to deal with us. what would their benefit be from dealing with us? most probably they couldn´t learn much from us. on the other hand, if they allowed us to learn from them, they would have to worry that we might try to destroy or subjugate them afterwards. we would cause nothing but trouble.

maybe they´re watching us from far away. and as soon as we have some technology that might be a threat to them, they´ll destroy us.

  • Interesting points, Carlin funny as hell, but i don't think either of them believed in other life forms out in space--these we're not a couple of starry-eyed dreamers.

  • I agree to disagree with anyone, who wants to debate for any other reason, than having nothing better to do. If you don't like what you read here? Please go troll somewhere else. : )

  • That sounded like a boast, we might not be the biggest ass-holes in the universe folks.

  • Believe me, we're not interesting enough :)

  • Frank Zappa obviously is not that well educated. It is a stupid idea generally to venture into space, indeed. But why do we presume that extraterrestrial life is superior in intellect? Why assume there is even slightly intellectual extraterrestrial life in the first place, we do not know that.

  • @Steelfossil wow...you are very stupid

  • @DajaWaja

Will you explain why? You should understand you have no validity with just flat out calling me stupid, get an argument and come back.

  • @Steelfossil you did the same i need no explanations

  • @DajaWaja

I made an argument that extreterrestrial life does not necessarily have to be more intelligent than human life, now deal with that argument or get the fuck out. Also, I can justify my claim that it is generally stupid to venture out to space. It is extremely risky and expencive and provides an insignificant amount of profit for the human population. The drawbacks overwhelms the positives. Deal with those arguments now, if you have anything to say.

  • @Steelfossil I think there are a myriad of excellent reasons to venture out into space, indeed I think it's the only future mankind ought to strive for..

But we have such great domestic problems still, we live in societies dominated by the interests of a very select number of people, and authoritarian control is still part of daily life. Perhaps one day, when we fix ourselves, we will venture to the stars.

  • @Keinlicht

Give me ONE good enough reason to venture out to space that justifies the risk you impose on all the people involved in those programs.

  • @Steelfossil

    Our earth is not eternal.

Humanity always wanted to surpass itself and exceed beyound its boundaries.

Our intelligence, imagination and innovation pushed our evolution to the point we are today.

Our nature is always in a process of change.

Technology might lessen the danger one day.

"Frank Zappa obviously is not that well educated." = Your phrase. You call people uneducated just because they dont share your opinion.

Thats ignorant and stupid. I wont argue with someone like that.

  • @johndoe3k5

You do not seem to understand the difference between subjective opinions and objective truths. And those things you mentioned do not qualify for a good reason to venture out to space either. What he said was not an opinion, it was a personal theory. The problem with his theory is that it seems poorly developed, which I point out.

  • @Steelfossil You have to ask the astronauts if they comply with you. Or are they all uneducated? I had a tank druid as a main. As a tank, you stay at the front where you may be killed so the group can advance. So, as you see, playing a tank druid or a rogue is a matter of subjective opinion and personal theory of life. Take care.

  • @Steelfossil Risk for whom? Astronauts? You think that they don't know the risks?

Unless we're discussing colonies, the few hundred who may die in things like solar system exploration seem trivial. Would it be better they die down here, in a car accident? Of famine, war, disease ect.?

I don't see the problem with putting people at risk as long as we're committed to keeping them in good health, some will die, sure, but space exploration is essential research.

  • @Keinlicht

Now that is where you fail to do the equation. So far we have not discovered any revolutionary health improvements, neither will we. At the cost of a lot of money, people's lives etc etc. It is just a meaningless for-fun trip.

  • @Steelfossil Neither did we find revolutionary health improvements when first we landed on the shores of North America. Nor when we sailed around the planet, did it amount to anything but risk for a meaningless trip.

In understanding our solar system and beyond, we will come to better understand the very nature of our universe. How can you say for certain this will yield no health benefits? How can you know what we'll find?

Is the pursuit of knowledge really so unworthy as to be "meaningless"?

  • @Keinlicht

I am pretty sure you grasp the idea that the amount of knowledge obtainable is limited. If you would decide to take a look at a curve of health growth over the years, estimating that we are very close to the peak of knowledge (as a collective consciousness) is not a very absurd concept. We know how physics for the most part function, we can predict almost everything with enough data. We even explore further into space than we could ever reach. I regard it as a waste of effort.

  • @Steelfossil Well I'd say you're mistaken. We understand most of the fundamental mechanics of the universe, sure.

But explain to me how this is different from saying because we know how all the atoms and all the organs of almost every deep sea creature work, it's fruitless to risk our lives in submarines to study them? Isn't the principle the same?

  • Comment removed

  • @Steelfossil He's probably referring to others' desires to find intelligent life, not his own. Anyway, the idea is that any extraterrestrial life that purposefully makes contact with humankind - or earth, that is, by way of DELIBERATE travel, has to be extremely intellectually advanced. And that many people have seen ufos, etc.

Part of the issue is also simply surviving in the vacuum of space- though I've obliquely heard fungus to be potentially considered alien, for this reason.

  • Recourse Based Economy! Look up Jaques Fresco!

  • You can watch the video of George's rant here: v=1TX3pPOuIXc

  • People that complain about this are pathetically closed minded... I wish MOST of the people here did NOT exsist. <3

  • nasholes hahah

  • If a firm background study in UFOs and "Contactee" messages has taught me anything, the rest of the universe is eager all right, eager for us to wake the Goddamned hell up before they have to toast our monkey asses, or before we inevitably do it to ourselves.

  • Well i agree that humans act very silly alot of times, but we are still the most amazing thing in this universe by far. ( well what we know of atleast). Yeah its depressing but fuck this cold stupid universe, lets spread like a fucking virus. Its very important if we want to survive as a species. And we can always hope that we will evolve to something better with more of our strengths and less of our weaknesses in the future.

  • He lived to be 70. With the Radiation rain from Japan i dont think many of us are going to live that long. 2012 comes around and things keep heating up ,give yourself another year. Matter fact with all Earth Quakes and Volcanos eruptiing ,Solar Flares, strang unexplained noises ,Radiation Rain, HARRP Weapons, Deases, You may give your self less then Year.

  • NASA is just another in a long line of great ways to funnel our tax money to the pockets of their friends. We haven't been to the moon or anywhere else in 40 years.

  • awesome

  • bitch bitch bitch bitch, only in America....

  • @drivenmadnessband Only in America what?

  • @beaumessin America ranks 17th in international education. So if you can conclude what I meant? You are not as stupid as the masses. Good luck.

  • @drivenmadnessband

So you're calling two people that transcended their culture stereotypical American idiots for what is effectually their worldview. Yeah that's very astute! And humane to boot.

Zappa's language is inclusive, he does not seperate himself from what he is saying, and Carlin is on record elswhere saying he's no different, and a part of it. What's your excuse?

  • @drivenmadnessband Definitely, I get you. I was educated myself in the U.S. at private schools, but if I compare that to the level of education here in Germany, at least in the 80s, even then the quality of education at northamerican schools was outdated. I just didn't initially get the context of your comment; it seemed non sequiter to me in relation to this video. Cheers.

  • @drivenmadnessband You're implying stupidity on the basis of his nationality?

    Hey look folks stereotyping!

You might say "NO I WUZ JUS SAYIN HE COULD B STUPID LIEK ALL AMMERICANS!", but as college professor in bullshit...I can see that you were implying to some degree that he was was stupid just for where he was born. Just by how you use your words, you give yourself away.

But maybe I'm just a dumb American

  • @Ryomaslade45 (But maybe I'm just a dumb American) I agree with you. lol

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Speak for yourself!

  • amazing stuff

  • My ears! Warning. George talks very loud!

  • @TheSillypig If you go to my channel, the same rant video of George is in my favorites, and the sound is great. I would have made this video with better sound, but really. I just don't care......

  • @TheSillypig thank You for the warning, I watched this at work, I could get in to trouble.

  • Both Carlin and Zappa are extinct......extinction is forever. That's what science tells me.

  • @kdc43 Sociology should tell you, that even though they are no longer living. More people are paying attention to them, then you. ; )

  • @drivenmadnessband Foolish masses then...they are following blind leaders to the masses' demise then.

  • @kdc43 why even reply. You got owned, accept it and go on your way

  • @drivenmadnessband "Sociology should tell you, that even though they are no longer living. More people are paying attention to them, then you. ; )"

doesn't mean much coming from the uploader of a video of two guys talking about how much they dislike their fellow human...talk about irony

and I thought I was a misanthrope. These guys take it to a whole new level...I guess Zappa preferred curmudgeon to misanthrope, but they're not really the same thing...

  • @drivenmadnessband english should tell you that it's than you not then you

  • @zenoparodie Oh, I'm very sorry about my grammatical errors. You see, I have this thing called, A LIFE!!!! You should try it sometime. And, suck my ass. Have a nice day. : )

  • @drivenmadnessband what does having a life have to do with being capable of writing correct english?

you look like one of those pathetic nerds that bring the "life" thing up all the time

  • @zenoparodie You know, you are not the only person on Earth, who is aware that is very annoying to point out a fucking "typo", as if you are some sort of literature major? I'm pretty fucking sure you are not! However, I am very sure you are a TROLL, and I'm also very sure your account in now blocked. Have any last words now asshat? Have a fucked up day.

  • @kdc43 animals do not go extinct, species do...thats what science tells me

  • @kdc43 Then you don't know much about nature, do you?

  • Haha this :D

  • Rest in peace George, I would like to think that The Almighty took him because we did not deserve such knowledge, just as the government has their "black-ops" so does God. George was a taste of reality for those willing to listen. What gets me is the people who sit at his shows, nod their damn heads like they know what he is sayin' and then leave and do NOTHING different in their lives except talk about what a great show that was!

  • @TheFreedomFTW Great comment, my friend. My thoughts exactly.

  • @TheFreedomFTW If you were such an great listener you wouldn't think there existed an almighty god. So you're pretty much getting at yourself with saying that people just nod their heads and so forth...

  • @Ardynard Well to quote George, lol "If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little"

  • @drivenmadnessband I'm saying that TheFreedomFTW is contradicting himself in a very stupid way. What does other life in the universe have to do with any of that?

  • @Ardynard Life is a contradiction. So I'm not debating anyone. The joke is on all of us. lol

  • @drivenmadnessband Mr.makes-sense.

  • @Ardynard WTF are you talking about?? Shut up troll!!

  • @TheFreedomFTW As i said. George Carlin is as i've understood it; an atheist. Some of his shows includes pro-atheism. So what i'm saying is that if you were such an great listener you wouldn't think there was a god that took him away due to us "not deserving his wisdom". That's what i'm talking about... like any of that was hard to understand.

  • hehe Nasholes

  • The "pedalla " account has no active use, other than going around, and trolling people's comment area. So out of respect for anyone who likes this video. I blocked it. Enjoy! -DM

  • i don't agree... he has really negative opinion about this world, and maybe we aren't perfect, but the fact that we are not perfect is the only way to come to progress... that's still evolution going on, so maybe human kind isn't the best, but the human kind had worse times.. it's easy to think about a better world, but the people individually don't decide how it will look... sorry, frank, but your quote about progress, as a deviation of normal, is contradictory to your statements here...

  • @pedalla Just because YOU say something is contradictory. Does not make it true. ; )

  • @drivenmadnessband well, saying something is true or not, is very subjective and undefined statement.. and i didn't expect much more, since this video are watching only zappa fans, who apparently can't think on their own.. which, i believe, was the point of zappa's AND carlin's philosophy..

  • @pedalla I don't care. You're an idiot.

  • For a minute, I thought George Carlin and Frank Zappa would've been in the same room together, discussing space exploration. But I guess the building itself could not contain awesomeness of that magnitude.

  • @UntitledHome Oh they did. but that building exploded suddenly because Kurt Vonnegut walked in to take a shit in the bathroom

  • Comment removed

  • a shameful deficit in number of views. This video should be permanently placed on the youtube's home page... moreover, it should be played every time anyone opens youtube page. Fellow humans, listen! look! wake up! Alas, you're just a bunch of ignorant, two-legged, materially and sexually obsessed, purposeless creatures...

  • man i would like to have seen these two having a conversation

  • Zappa was an arrogant misanthrope. He must've been unhappy; only an unhappy person would adopt such a cold, cynical outlook. Making destructive things isn't the only thing we're good at, and we're nowhere near terrorizing extraterrestrials with our weapons. It wouldn't be good if aliens wiped us out; it'd be incredibly horrible genocide. The aliens we meet might be enlightened, altruistic beings with the desire and the ability to help us. Or they might be evil predators. Hope we have good luck.

  • @dnggitg You don't realize the man's humor and the things he's seen. If you think "cynical" is the right word to use for someone who keeps their mind open about the things that go on in this world, then maybe you have to realize that you may be as blind as a bat (don't worry, you aren't alone.) Frank was commenting on human nature, part of which is to gain power and then get drunk off of it. Look at how many men in power have used their power to do dirty shit.

  • @LuneyTune72 I realize his humor and the things he's seen; I enjoy his music--especially with the Mothers of I--and I've read part of a book about him. And I'm certainly not blind to the evil committed by people in power--and by people NOT in power. But he did overrate his intellect, and his knee-jerk negativity was characteristic of a cynic. And cynicism doesn't open your mind; it closes your mind--or makes it narrower than it should be...He's a cool guy, of course, but I don't agree.

  • I totally couldn't agree more with Frank...it's been a lifelong dream of mine to see our species move into space and not only does it sadden me that I'll never see it happen but it saddens me more that Frank is totally right and maybe we do deserve that...think about it, the atom bomb, anthrax, pollution...all manmade, all nonexistant until we fucking arrived...

  • @theLastKnight70 I don't agree with the phrase "We are perfect at making a mess and we invent things that destroy."..If that's how you really feel about human kind there's nothing more than suicide for you. It's not the knife itself that is dagnerous but how a man decides to use it.

I've seen many people lately start thinking counsciously and i think that humans are slowly coming to a cutting edge. Either we get along and live peacefully or we'll kill each other and destroy ourselves.

  • @QuantumoftheOpera You have to understand Frank's point. Now, this is my interpretation: We are good at creating destructive tools, this can mean more than one thing: industry/corporations, nuclear war missiles/atomic bombs, guns, etc. Frank was a self-proclaimed "conservative" (the meaning of that term was not as stereotyped as it is now.) Look at how many things you and most others are using or have been using that add to the major destruction of the environment...your computer being one.

  • @LuneyTune72 (Part1) I still disagree.Humans are not good at creating destructive tools.Humans were always good at inventing practical tools that helped them improve their lives(mentallty&physically). This is the reason we are the most succesful amongst all mammals. Most people today don't understand that they harm their environment. At least not counsciously.

  • @LuneyTune72 (Part2)There is a relatively small handful of people in power that have an interest on destroying the environment we live and in extend ourselves. And these people with their means managed to find a way to influence all of us.It's a matter of culture. Not human nature..

  • @QuantumoftheOpera Are you serious? "a relatively small handful of people"??? Ok, so big corporations like Ford Motor, Boeing, Apple, American Electric Power, Chevron are "small"? I don't think so. You are so out of touch with reality. Do you know how much shit goes on behind the curtains that make countries run? Sweat shops, slavery, child labor, intentional pollution, etc. all of these things exist today and are used by big corporations. Do you wonder why Frank was so "cynical."

  • @LuneyTune72 I said "Relatively".Meaning that in relation with the whole population of this planet its a small elite.1% of the population owns 40% of the wealth.I blame culture and not human nature. That's my only argue. I consider blaming human nature, like Frank did, a very dangerous thing. And this is because nature is a dictator and you can't change it.So Frank is automatically saying that we are doomed. But even science proves that we are beings that adjust and dont have a particular nature.

  • @QuantumoftheOpera I assume you may be a religious man or a republican, are either of those correct? If you think things are all fine right now and the world is just the good that you have seen, then you are blind. All the information you need is out there, and it I'm not talking about conspiracy theorists, I mean facts.

  • @LuneyTune72 I think that you perhaps didn't understand my last reply. I'm far away from being both a religious man or a republican. I never said that things are fine and the world is good.I think that the world is hell and its getting even worse day by day. What i said is that the very culture we have is what destroys everything. Not our nature.

  • george carlin = genius

  • It is not our nature, it is the behavior, that can be changed every secound! How can such intelligent mind miss that point?

  • @Thesolve You think that some people just developed that urge/behavior to destroy? No, it's something that all humans share and have had, even in undeveloped tribes. It all leads back to our thirst for power, which runs in every animals' genes, to be the head of the pack. Whether you are a president or a gorilla pack leader, you fight to destroy anyone who invades your territory. You can't change animal instincts, you can only hide it.

  • @LuneyTune72 Everything becomes "nature" by repetition, same as with theories that become fact after being mentioned often enough. That is the "west", what about native people, who have no judges, police, army or whatsoever? Probably you'll think about only bad events by picking on the conflicts... that were induced by the WESTERN PEOPLE.. whoops, own goal. You can turn it round like you want, there is nothing like "human nature". ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @benroo89 just to piss you off. How do you feel about that? Have a great day. ; ) Maybe watch this again, and again? lmao

  • Wow it makes me so sad that Carlin is gone. He's irreplaceable.

  • Vote 1 George Carlin's Ashes for President

  • puts things in perspective........

  • Great vid, just... great vid. Thanks for sharing.

  • Its not suprising how few views this video has. True wisdom and insight are anathema to the sickening and deluded cult-ure that has been erected. A society too concerned with American Idol and designer sunglasses to realize we are little more than adolescent primates, squandering our future for status in the present. We're barely less superstitious than our iron age ancestors...

    Good job, by the way!

  • @Garabaldi323 ,Thanks, such an abstract view is not often allowed in todays media. Glad it caught your eye. Fight the good fight.

  • @Garabaldi323 But wisdom also teaches unconditional respect and admiration. Therefore they won't judge us, because they would know, that if we stay on the wrong path, the planet simply "shakes us of its back" automatically (as George Carlin said). Nature can take care of itself, so there is no need for an interplanetary police force like the USA is internationally. Also just a reflection of our own culture and definitions. Do you really believe, alien lifeforms would think exactly the way we do?

  • @Garabaldi323 Maybe that's why true wisdom is usually spread as 'comedy'---that way it's wrapped in the comfortable-to-hear padding of 'they might be just-kidding.' Like The Comedian says in *-WATCHMEN-*, "It's all a joke; it's all just a joke."

  • @Garabaldi323 It's not that these men are showing wisdom and insight. It that they are willing to talk about reality and that is something the culture has been decidedly designed to prevent. The most common term you will hear, even from intelligent people is "I don't want to know about that", or "I try not to worry about it". Our culture has become so degraded and sick that people can no longer handle reality and are enslaving themselves into culture-speak and mental caves out in the open.

  • @Garabaldi323 -- Funny, I just made the very same argument two nights ago. "Adolescent primates, squandering our future."

  • haha...I was watching a Chomsky lecture in New Zealand and ended up here...enjoyed it! thank you

  • @slovakmath Hey man, it is a logical extension.
