  • This is not a roadrailer. That is a hy-rail vehicle. A roadrailer is a semi truck that can be placed onto railroad wheels without needing a flatcar

  • nope they called it a roadrailer, the mow guys and the guy driving it. They always would say Roadrailer all by MP 25 or 27 or wherever on the scanner too.

  • @BNSF2184 Ok. It wasn't your fault that you named your video that, but I'm just saying that most people would call that a Hy-Rail truck. MOW guys have nicknames for things too.

  • ok. I guess they call it a roadrailer because the wheels on there are the same as on the roadrailer trains. I did however accidently call it a hy-railer and they corrected me by saying "you mean roadrailer"

  • @BNSF2184 I am one of the drivers of that truck and we call it the Brandt road railer. kind of confusing sometimes when there is a train road railer nearby, we don't really call it a hi-rail because when it is on the track we consider it to be a mow machine rather than a truck. hope this helps

  • @ehurtx

it does. I didnt ask why they called it a road railer, but I know they called it that and NOT a hi-railer.

  • @bnsfMAN93 Actually it is usually Hi-Rail vehicle, usually isn't spelled as Hy-Rail. But just look it up. A Roadrailer is a intermodal trailer that has a set of permanent bogeys on the back, and a detachable set of bogeys that go on the hitch of the trailer at the front.

Also it is a Peterbilt not a Peterbuilt.

But most MOW equipment like this Peterbilt, or a Ford F150, are referred to as Hi-Rail, and not RoadRailer.

  • Sweet!

  • awesome, a P3 on a truck!

  • awesome!

  • very nice horn..be something to see that thing coming down the tracks pulling a cut of cars instead of an engine lol

  • nice P3
