Can we even compare the two parks since they're so different? I mean come on, Orlando is just a replica with a whole bunch of rides, more close to a theme park, while Hollywood is the real deal and an ACTUAL WORKING MOVIE STUDIO AND LOT, less close to a theme park. Why would there be a lot of rides if it's a studio? I don't know about others but I would rather see a real movie studio and lot than get on a whole bunch of rides. I can do that at plenty of other places besides Orlando.

universal studios hollywood is not a bad park and its getting better with a couple new attractions but it doesnt come close to orlando because the rides, theming, park atmosphere, and just about everything else is better.but if you dont take my word for it ask about every theme park expert in the world and im sure they will point you straight to the seven *worlds best theme park* awards that universal ioa has won.

u guys r so stupid. universal orlando blows away universal hollywood! hollywood lovers....talk to us when u guys get 2 theme parks! lol....we have so much better stuff. hulk, spiderman, harry potter, dragon challenge, dudley do wrights, rip ride rockit, our mummy is better then yours, just everything! haha u guys r just jealous!

Orlando is good, but its mostly like a wannabe or something no offense to the Orlando lovers. Hollywood is better cuz its Hollywood. We have Studio Tours and Backlots and the stars have been there, obviously. I want to go to Orlando because it has more rides (+Harry Potter :D) but U.S.H is like a legend...LOL

@chicoloco59 Revenge of the Mummy in Hollywood is just it slowly goes in to a dark room where fake mummies are growling. You go into the room where he turns from sands and threatens you. You see the animatronic that says your souls are mine where you get launched into a bunch of mini hills and fake cardboard signs. You stop and do the exact same thing as going forward with more cardboard signs. It's 1 minute. You can do the whole park in 2 hours. The worst park ever.

Yes Universal Hollywood is the original, but IT SUCKS COMPARED TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO!! We have Harry Potter, Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Spiderman, A way better Revenge of the mummy, Men in Black, Popeye, Disaster, and Dudley Do Right. You have a little bit better Jurassic Park, A Simpsons Ride the same as Orlando's, A cheap studio Tour, A overrated Revenge of the Mummy, and a copy of Spiderman called Transformers. Hollywood sucks

And there "Revenge of the Mummy" is not better then Hollywoods not at all... you can say Its longer ... no its not ... its only longer because it takes more time to get to the launch... if you count from the launch to when it stops hollywoods is longer... orlandos ovirtual darkness launch is shorter then hollywoods... plus orlandos backwards part SUCKS!!! Due to the water cannons Hollywood bought, Orlando is the same but they were too cheap to aford them. Hollywood has a studio that has been used basicly in almost every movie. Orlando's Universal is basicly SMALLER then ours but camparison ours looks smaller due to the fact ours is lower and upper lots.... Orlando doesnt have a Transformers and they dont have a studio there, Orlando may be funner but hell sure aint better!!!!

the one in hollywood use to be HUGE when the ride just open'd, i use to stand at the endge and watch them come down as a kid, and the splash was so huge, it would get us all SOAKED, just standing their watching the boats, but now when i go, the splash is no were near as big as it use to be, if u stand and watch the boats u dont even get wet anymore, not even a single drop, the splash is much much smaller now, i dont kno why

Orlando is where it's at. Hollywood's has nicer water though. I wouldn't feel as gross after if I got wet with that water lol. But I say Orlando edges all cities with theme parks.

@theatrebully21 yea but u cant realy compare universal studios hollywood to the one in orlando,, cuz the one out here in cali, is the ACTUAL universal studios !! to film movies and tv show's ect,, thats why we only have like 4 rides in the whole damm park, cuz they only use a small part of it as a theme park, most of the studio's is used for making movies, thats why we have the studio's tram ride, which takes u into the backlot were u can see them filming differ show's and movies

The splash down is 90% the same as Floridas only durringt the summer. Hollywood has designed a system so that durring the off seasons that the boats dont splash as much water durring the splash.

You do realize they've changed the design of the boats in California? They used to have the same scoops as Florida that shoot water up behind the boat. I'm not really sure why they were taken out but they were. On California's they also added magnetic braking to the splash zone (I believe) to make the stop even quicker. So to make a fair comparison you'd have to use footage from when the old boats were used in California.

I've been there it's really cool and big! The splash I have seen and it's kinda big too but not as big as ours.

The splashes on both rides are adjustable. You could easily get the Hollywood one to be bigger that Orando's. It just depends on when you film them.

That doesnt mean that it cant be as big as orlandos. I rode JP in hollywood many times and have two videos of it on youtube. In one the splash on Hollywoods was so big it took my camera out and I was in like the 3rd row I think, check it out.

@AlexG8462 They actually added water cannons on the hollywood one but it's only on in the summer. That's cuz you get so wet that they don't want you to get too cold during the winter :D

the splashes arent ajustable at all, the splash is dependant on the weight of the passengers in the car, a car full of people is gonna create a bigger splash than an empty car for example

It depends on when you recorded this. During the cold months and off season USH turns down the water supply to save water, due to the fact that LA is in a desert and has a water shortage. Just like they shut down one of the escalators on the starway to conserve energy, because LA has an energy crisis. During the summer the plash is just as big as Orlando's in fact it gets people standing on the side wet.

i recorded the hollywood one in march of last year and the orlando one in february of this year, but even during the summer the hollywood splash doesn't get any bigger, they just add water shooters to get people soaked.
