Unreal Tournament 3, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Huxley looks the same, Halo.. of course, and the Tribes games, Even as far back as Quake 3 and the old Unreal Tournaments, leaping around the place like you show. So many games are starting to take on this kind of gameplay, mindless violence, high tech weaponry, fast movement, etc.. It does not make a game stand out anymore., Not sure if Section 8 will be different.
Therese just one thing that looks like it wud bother me. The way when jumping or falling from large heights the legs dont bend or anything. Minor thing, but if the physics look obviously unrealistic it would drive me mad knowing what it could look like. Other than that id have to play it lol.

Seems like Halo. A lot of places you cant relate to and don't care about. Why are these people risking thier lives for a desolate place that they could do fine without. Not played yet, so it's opinion only from video. Think it's another Crysis like, only new suit, little different powers, and multiplayer (I think born from skies is made to make respawning closer to story.) In my opinion I say, that: EA REALLY NEEDS NEW IDEAS! Last game with new idea is Spore, and its Great game!

The genre convention of powersuits in futuristic warfare is beginning to tire out entirely at this point in time. While I found the designs to be very well thought-out for a video game, the underlying problem still surfaces through the ineluctable ingenuity displayed: the CONCEPT is old.
I'm gonna be the first to say that this game DOES NOT looks like Halo. It does not have ringworlds, it does not have master chief, ti does not have grunts. It is a sci-fi game; that does not make it Halo. Next thing you know people will be saying GTA is exactly like GRID because they both have cars. The problem here is that apart from "dropping-in", the game doesn't seem to offer anything unique. It just seems like "a shooter game".
I like HALO, Im not interest in YOUR HALO RIPOFF. You need to impress me with improved and/or different things. Orbital drop-ins? Interesting. Calling in weapons? Thats nice. These points are just aesthetically pleasing compared to them just spawning on the map. You also need a Multiplayer system thats equal to or greater than Halos. So far I have not come across a game that matches Halos and that will be the deciding point on wheatear I will play it more than once.
I"m glad i'm not the only one that gameplay looked ALOT like halo it was insane and tho i like the graphics they looked like just different outfits for master chief. i'm not saying it didn't look good. dude section 8 is nothing like mass effect, or halo. the only thing in common with gears is the big armor but section 8 is its own game really. you can custimize your character to the max its great. and you can run like 2 football fields in amatter of seconds you also have a jetpack for numourous things. the only bad thing is the replay ability is pretty bad

From the demo they released a week from this comment, it made me very sad. I heard that you can have a computer to be used as a host kinda thing, but from the demo itself, it was laggy and not very fun. So its a no for me.

The open world levels look too big,it would seem you would be walking around half the time trying to find someone to fight.The levels look very bland and need more detail.I dont see the point in having some crazy jetpack when all you use it for is evading enemy fire,the levels dont look built up enought for you to even need to use the jetpack,the levels need to be built up to highter elevation so that you can gain higher points and advantages,plus adding more detail to levels.

The Mechanics of the game are amazing but it seems to be just another run of the mill shooter with its advertising, I will probably get later on, right now I'm all about Scribblenauts and MUA2
The thick limbs like they use in UT 2003 and UT 3 kinda turns me off. If the story was engaging and twisting/surprising, and good boss battles that required different tactics, it might be nice plaing a super-marine like in Timeshift. Only timeshift could have been incredibly much more with more story time paradoxes, and for instance some enemies that required you to use stop time, and others reverse time.
It seems to me like a red faction remake. very similar. i dont think it would be the very first game i would buy, but i suppose the decision will be left to demo on the 360.

The open world levels look too big,it would seem you would be walking around half the time trying to find someone to fight.The levels look very bland and need more detail.I dont see the point in having some crazy jetpack when all you use it for is evading enemy fire,the levels dont look built up enought for you to even need to use the jetpack,the levels need to be built up to highter elevation so that you can gain higher points and advantages,plus adding more detail to levels.

Need to see more actual gameplay some of the moves look pretty awsome like dropping down on a guy with a knife or smashing a guy into the ground with a mech but I need to know if you can actually do that or is it just some cock tease the developers did to make it look good but then again you cant do half the shit the teaser shows in most of these advertisements now a days. So I need to see more gameplay :/

The Mechanics of the game are amazing but it seems to be just another run of the mill shooter with its advertising, I will probably get later on, right now I'm all about Scribblenauts and MUA2

The thick limbs like they use in UT 2003 and UT 3 kinda turns me off. If the story was engaging and twisting/surprising, and good boss battles that required different tactics, it might be nice plaing a super-marine like in Timeshift. Only timeshift could have been incredibly much more with more story time paradoxes, and for instance some enemies that required you to use stop time, and others reverse time.

I'm unsure. It looks cool, but it also looks like it might be a bit too Halo/Metroid for my tastes.
I'd also like to see sci-fi with fewer glowy bits for the sake of glowy bits on war gear, but I'm just weird like that.
I'm gonna wait until it comes out and I can see some of the actual game before I make my decision.

It seems to me like a red faction remake. very similar. i dont think it would be the very first game i would buy, but i suppose the decision will be left to demo on the 360.

this game looks like it has a nice plot, but gameplay (jumping around crazy, shooting etc.) doesn't look too good reminds, me of and old pc multiplayer game, u know the one where everybody is crazy good.

I see some promise, but I'm concerned this title will be lost among the thousands of other space marine UE3 powered pew pew.
I'm seeing some similarities to Tribes, and some evolutions on ideas Tribes introduced, I like that.
I hope this game succeeds, but I'm not all too optimistic.

if it wasnt a first person shooter and so similar to halo 3 i would get it.
if it was more around the basis of Gears of war... a little more slow paced and heavy...but fun and tacticle then it would be great!

why does everyone care so much about graphics? as long as you can make things out and there are like colorful smears or blobs on the screen its fine i dont let graphics bring my opinion of a game off

theres a target thingy, it showed up as a circle in one scene (not the scope)
UT3 was a smoother game w/ better graphics than this one. id say its more like zone of the enders.
