  • wow thats cool wish i was in it lol.

  • Can you believe it? In all that open space it chooses to hit those lines? I mean what are the odds? btw nice launch, do you have plans to put a stabilizer on the rocket to minimize spin when launching?

  • No ... it just spins. Check out my other flights some are better.

  • I will, I think it's awsome you get to do this. Where I live there is not enough space for it.

  • what type of video camera did you use ?

  • I use a varity of AIPTek digital video cameras. They are small, light weight and not too expensive.

  • The intro to the video was a bit long. You're lucky the camera wasn't destroyed when it hit the power line.

How high did the rocket go?

  • Well, there was no path to ground so no currebt went through the rocket. The sparks were line to line. It went to 3504'.

  • Nice height! Sure took long enough to return. I build a little rocket that was supposed to take an A engine then spiral down, but I only had a B engine available. It went up so high I lost sight of it. Never found it.

No path to ground is great, but when you're dealing with 14kv or more lines, strange stuff starts happening. You'll still get a good zap if you're insulated from everything and grab the line.
