Я думаю, преобразователь не в разъёме, а в самой батарейке. Там внутри трёхвольтовая таблетка и таймер NE555 или что-нибудь типа того... В корпус "кроны" всяко поместится.

Ответ простой. В разъеме батарейки спрятан DC/AC преобразователь, а в выключателях диоды. Собрал эту схему из того что под рукой было.

Oh, I think it's special LEDs, and difference between them with frequency. Switches have frequency generator, who switch on one or another LED ) Am I right?

@madghosttt Well, it's probably good idea. But it is hard to do.

My solution more easy :)

Every swich has one diode (straight direction for first and oposite for second switch) and one resistor in parallel... LEDs are one in normal direction and second in reversed.. the voolatge sourse hass a little AC generator..
