Dont get me wrong this is good, but the "disco-ized" version is better for me cause I am just into more energized songs and this one is slow and makes me sleepy
It must be generational. I would say that those of us who prefer the Oldfield original are probably over 35 (in my case, waaaaay over 35). I am very definitely of the "pre-video-game" generation and can remember when the word "computer" conjured up visions of a UNIVAC mainframe. My "energized" music would be the hard rock of the late 1960's. I am fortunate to have spent the summer of 1983 studying in Europe where I mellowed out to this song that was never released in the US.
ah yes, generation might explain it, but I do think its a taste thing with me, cause I also listen to classical music and I don't see anyone my age listening to it, so opposed to listening to classical orchestra, I like an energized song
Brainwashed by soulless synth music. This is not art anymore, just bunch of loops glued together. Nothing can compare to Mike's (or any other artist's) hand work with guitar or other live instruments. The music got some feelings. It's not so cold and artificial.
There are some good synth/techno/etc bands though =) check out Daft Punk! Their songs Aerodynamic, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Digital Love and some others are extremely well thought through, well performed (they play real guitars and keyboards) and simply awesome! =)
@uiopoi66 Not our fault as there are not ''good music lessons'' anywhere and we are pleased with the first thing that we (ourselves) and our friends like that we can bang out and dance.
That's what i said to my fathers when i was 20, long long ago.

She owes a life to Mike Oldfield and she thought she was superior than him... It's a pitty cause she has a really great voice.

Groove Coverage? Their disco-ized version? You MUST be kidding. Nothing compares to this Reilly/Oldfield original.

I've liked this song since I was like ... can't remember how young, maybe 5.. now I'm 20
But you have a point in younger people having no taste in music...
not entirely their fault however... or well... they let themselves get brainwashed...
