  • USS Enterprise? What would God want with a (space) ship?

Also, this PROVES that James Tiberius Kirk IS God.

  • Anyone LOLed at USS Enterprise? Was it commanded by Pickard?

  • What happened to all the victims of natural disasters from the beginning of time - good people who prayed to god and perished anyway?

  • To bad all the good guys are in the army and all the bad are in Washington.

  • Comment removed

  • God did shit man, thanks to the rescuers!

  • "You were on the right boat!"

    Well the fucking thing sunk!

Also, he should stop thanking his imanginary friend and start thanking the heroes in the Navy and Coast Guard. Plus, those guy for sure exist.

  • @CENSOREDFORSEX hell be the one in heaven looking down at you in your crappy world that you doubt about anybody being above you? I dont see how someone cannot believe in something cause then youll die for nothing!

  • Glad to hear he finally thanked the people that actually helped him.

  • The freedon of Gods grace in christ is the only thing that keeps us from being destroyed. Gods people are not justified by the law, however we are still to keep the commandments.

  • "Thank you God, for breaking my boat and sending the NAVY with just enough gas to drop a raft, so that more time & taxes get wasted on an helicopter to pick me up"

  • good thing Neptune (or maybe Poseidon) was in a good mood that day.

  • @Billowi

God tried to kill him with a wave but us devil humans saved him with technology and planning and thwarted god's plan. Shame on us for intervening in god's divine plan to kill this fellow

  • mark driver saved your life you muppet!

  • Why are all you losers bashing on the guy? He is very humble. He thanks the US navy and the coastguards and his rescuers with such respectful and honorable words, yet at the same time he thanks the God that HE believes in for sparing him, you cant call him ungrateful. All you people just nitpick at every single word, he is claiming HIS God saved him, if you dont believe it then change the channel and humble up. He said nothing wrong at all. (Im also not a Christian)

  • Always wondered this too, why be bothered at all about dying if you're going to spend eternal life with your loved ones?

Suggests to me that they don't really deep down believe what they preach.

  • If I were the guy who saved this prick I think I would be very put off.

  • I don't get it: Yes, it might be a lucky accident that the coast guards found him, I am not literate how exact they can locate him in the open sea. If he sent a Mayday signal and stated his GPS coordinates it is not that great an accident since you are very clear then where he is.

After that and driving out there to him you would visually operate or as we see with this infrared device.

So, probably no miracle at all and the real heroes are modern technology and the trained coastguards, not god.

  • And then again, if we use "god" reasoning, wasn't "god" the one who endangered his life to begin with?

  • "Thank you, God, for saving me from that storm you sent."

  • haha I literally LOL'ed...

*Subscribed* I love the videos AMB

  • @twholland1 That was awesome.

  • amazing craftsmen ship with that boat. really pulled through to save him... if god saving him was proof hes real and god putting him in that situation was a sign that god is not real. then really what happened was a person saved him life. not a god.

  • So God makes a storm, sinks a boat and then waits for the guy on that unfortunate boat to prove his belief by praying and then hopes the coast guards save the poor man?

I'm left "somewhat" puzzled by this logic.

  • If you survive god was awesome, if you die he's an idiot or what? This logic sucks xD

  • He accepted his death...and then find he get's it back. That kind of thing is going to make an impression, especially if you already believe - I don't think a guy who named his ill-fated boat 'Gloria A Dios' is going to lose his faith after such an apparently improbable rescue.

But why did God choose to sink his boat and put his life in danger? Just to bring him closer to the true path of righteousness?

Why not magic his ship better - a suddenly repaired ship is pretty close to a miracle!

  • Well if this doesn't improve the existance of God, I don't know what does. I'm convinced!

  • Could God not have just turned the gd wind off?

So this is what you do when you're a reporter when you run out of questions and still have 5 minutes to fill.

  • I'm sure Spock commented that "grace of god" was illogical.

  • God's sloppy. The raft was capsised. Infallable my ass.

  • At least he thanked the US Coastguard and Navy as well.

I wonder if God would've done a miracle if the US Coastguard and Navy didn't have their shit together.

It also doesn't sound like investigative reporting. It's kinda painful listening to the reporter needle Dennis about God and heros and whatever.

  • Isn't this confusing? For a child listening to this, isn't he crediting god and the coast guard for saving his life?

The pilot made a choice, he made a choice to give that man the best chance he had. god had nothing to do with this.

  • What a bitch.

  • USS Enterprise? ROFL

  • If it had been a Muslim man that the Coast Guard saved, I wonder if FOX would have allowed him to waste air time to praise Allah for saving his life?

  • Lol, i love it when christian and muslim are quarrelling over who's god is right.

  • What's funny is that now, in Malaysia, Christians and Muslims aren't just fighting over who's god is right, they're fighting over the word "Allah" and who gets to use that word and who doesn't... Muslims are actually attacking Christian churches with firebombs over the "right" to use the word, which those Muslims claim is theirs and theirs alone.

  • Praise God that he was saved... Although it was God that put him in tht situation in the first place. gee, this God chaps quite the two-faced character isn't he?

  • "I was on the right boat"

Yeah! One that went straight to the bottom of the ocean!

  • "you sailed the right boat" - yeah, great boat - lol.

  • The way the sailor talks, you can tell he's trying desperately to believe in God and use this as a way to believe in God... but it just doesn't come across sincere out of either of the men on screen. I think they're realizing what they're doing, even if they don't have all the pieces yet.

  • Thats it! This PROVES God exists. He was drowning & there were people who knew where he was & they threw him a lifeboat as he was praying to God to save his worthless life & it came TRUE! WOW It's a MIRACLE. I'm going to pray to God that this guy drowns in his bathtub. Glory be to God!!!!

  • If god went to all that trouble to save this man, why didn't he raise a finger to help the tsunami victims?

I really think that people who believe they have the creator of 100 billion galaxies watching over their every move never manage to think beyond themselves!

  • Im sure the people who really saved this dirt stupid person, didnt do it for the credit, but it cant feel good for them to watch this.

  • Anyone think the news anchor on the left reminds you of american psycho.

So the pilot had nothing to do with it, Im sure he is pissed "god" is gettin all the glory xD Though most people like the pilot don't care for the glory, thankfully for this occasion.

  • ok, you god-loving shit-for-brains: why did you get into such a predicament in the first place? was that also god? or is that proof that god does not exist? i can't take to listen to these medieval superstitions on tv. for fuck sake, it's the 21st century and these guys still talk to angels and see miracles where there aren't any.

  • It's pretty funny, and actually quite frustrating that MILLIONS of grown adults, that aren't mentally retarded, STILL mistake pure chance/coincidence for a miracle.

When the fk is humanity going to shed this idiotic religious skin???

  • millions? I wish. Billions is unfortunately the reality.

"If there were any other species, I'd join it". Gore Vidal

  • so god wrecks the boat and then throws him a life raft.....lol

  • Such is the case behind all of these fkn idiots' stories...

i.e. a plane crashes, 250 people die, and 6 survive. It's deemed a "miracle of god" that 6 people survived, and there is NO MENTION of the 250 people that died horrible deaths.

  • How many of you actually watched this video passed 4:18? How many of you just read the title and decided to comment? He calls the men & women in the USCG and USN "real heroes" and the "greatest Americans." He says they "save lives as a matter of daily work," but nobody here seems to hear him. You guys shut down the moment he mentions God. If he wants to believe a third entity was involved in his rescue, let him. He repeatedly gives credit where it is obviously due (to the USCG and USN heroes).

  • oh come on, let us have our fun

  • Ok, fine. Enjoy. =]

  • Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute... this dude was saved by the USS Enterprise? Gotta love Captain Kirk.

  • God sure is one administrative fucker. "I don't request you throw me a rope, God -- that would be too easy! Just take care of my family instead." Just read the Bible, look how time and pissing around he wasted on those Jews. Then you'll understand why God widows family, because he likes playing ultimate lifestyler/babysitter.

  • If God saved David Clements, then I hope that Mr. Clements does some spectacular deeds for humanity because at the same time he was saved there were hundreds of women being raped who were calling out to God and God didn't help them, and hundreds of children were being molested and calling out to God and God didn't save them. I can't wait to see what God and Mr. Clements will do in the next few days, weeks, and months, since God saved Mr. Clements and no one else. He's pretty fuckin' special.

  • STOP THANKING GOD AND JESUS IF YOU'RE NOT ALSO GONNA BLAME THEM!!!!

"God gave me cancer, but then he took it away! yaaayyy god"

  • Stop thanking god you asshole be grateful for the coast guard who saved your life. Jesus fucking christ. How the fuck is this a miracle? Why would your supposedly 'benevolent' god even fucking put you in that situation to begin with? What horseshit!

  • isnt god just lovely?

  • first god pushes him in the ocean and then he pulls him out? is that how it happened?

  • hilarious, like an onion report. I was imagining Harry Shearer in place of the rescuee, impersonating him with his own words. He was a numbskull to be out there and now all the sudden they pull this character into the studio and magnifiy his perspective into a segment that belongs on the 700 Club. Fox gets the report and decides for your convenience on the interpretation. Say, why don't they get Ray Comfort or Kirk Cameron to be anchors of their own shows?

  • Good thing god was there to drop him those life rafts and bring him aboard the G.O.D. Enterprise. o.O

  • Apparently his god didn't think much of the name of his boat since he wrecked it and tried to kill him.

  • I hope you die in a fire.

  • How exactly is this a miracle? The Coast Guard strategically dropped the rafts so they would cross his path. It wasn't chance.

  • Its always incredible to me to the deeps that religious people are willing to sink (no pun intended) to say "goddidit".

I wonder if they know what a coincidence is, in their world view that must be the oddest of ideas.

    Suerte!

  • So this man also has to assume that for whatever reason god made him almost drown and die before saving him. So either god has some insanely sick sense of humor, is a narcissist, or has to be a complete fascist to get people to believe in him by almost killing them then saving them. Reminds me a bit of V for Vendetta...they manufacture a disease and then "miraculously" cure it and get elected starting a chain reaction culminating in the end story.

  • This guy & Job......

god sure likes to test those christian's faith. Glad I don't believe in him.

And this guy is a tool.

  • Thank god for sinking your shitty boat then. god throws you into the water, almost kills you and then 'saves' you... Yeah, great... Nice god you have.

He better thank the coastguard and the navy for saving him (which he eventually does) instead of god, cus where is your proof god actually saved you. Cus if he saves you, he also put you into that predicament in the first place.

    Moron. goddamn!

  • This delusional fool is from Missouri.... What did you expect?

If I was a Coast Guard guy, I'd take this idiot back to sea and tell him to call God.

  • If the pilots had never flown anything before, had no idea how to operate their machines, had no idea where they were or that there was even a guy lost at sea, and did not even mean to launch the safety raft, THEN it could have possibly been a miracle.

  • You really deserve to live, who gives a f**k about dying and starving children anyway, just as long you can get back to the safety of your home and the well packed fridge ; )

  • So let me get this straight for you Glennd, God creates the universe, (kind of an amazing place if you looked around just our neighborhood), gives free will to man, allows for him to learn and make mistakes, plans on showing up at the end and saying, "so what did we learn from that, and what can we do different in the future?" Is pushing man forward as his inheritors. But who are you and I as armchair generals and question his every decision? What arrogance on your part.

  • The real cause of his life being saved is the amazing execution of the rescue team. Particularly, by dropping 2 rafts upwind successfully, they took a calculated chance which worked out in this case. I mean, if a life raft had just appeared out of nowhere or if the hand of God had plucked him out of the sea, well okay, now were talking, but all evidence points to great work by the Navy and Coast Guard, and good fortune.

  • So how did God actually direct him to this raft? And why did God wait so long to save him? Oh yeah, and why did he save this guy but let 25,000 children die of preventable disease the same day he saved this guy?

  • that was so fucking bad

  • right boat to be on, yet the shit is on the ocean floor.i wonder how many agnostic/atheistic ppl designed the science and technology used to save him. his argument is completely experiential

  • This guy's "long shot" reminds me of the basketball player who chucks a 3/4 court 'hail mary' shot.....he's really is one lucky sob. (not to mention the help from the rest of everyone else!)

  • THIS is what our military should be used for! They shouldn't be getting killed in Iraq and Afghanistan; a war that has become a quagmire.

These instances, Katrina, and other domestic issues that our military branches can do.

  • He should thank Mark Driver and not this idiotic godot delusion. FOX is sick. They don´t want to show news. They look for which news to use to drive a message home.

  • i cant finish watching this . . its to annoying

  • miricle... god... woooooooooow. perhaps. organisation and quick thinking. humans are so fucking dumb!!!!

  • I would have thought the coast guard hard more to do with saving his life than anything supernatural!

  • if god was truly going to take care of his family, he would have let this bilge rat drown. God was the one that was trying to kill him in thew first place. Stupid Coast Guard thwarted god's plans. I don't know how they can sleep at night!!!!!

(shiver) I wouldn't want to be in their shoes!

Oh, wait, this guy's an idiot. God HAtes You DUDE!!!!

    Watch your back!

  • This thanking god thing is absolutely abhorrent. People don't give themselves credit for completing such wonderfully difficult tasks, like kicking an addiction, winning awards, completing school, etc. just to thank god.

Reminds me of the 'miraculous' revival of a mother and baby over xmas. Why thank god? If anything, god killed them. Thank the hospital staff and medical science for the recovery, god had done enough.

Don't thank god, thank the people who deserve their due credit. Like YOU!

  • If god didn't leave him stranded there and hit him with that wave in the first place, god wouldn't have to rescue him.

  • @KrimsonRequiem

I think it's pretty clear. Satan brought the storm because he is evil and God personally built the aircraft carrier and risked life and limb to bring this man to safety because he is good and loves America.

  • I'm not so sure. Look at their track record. Satan has killed 10 people, God has killed millions. And God basically told Satan to kill the 10 he killed. Satan wants people to enjoy life, God is the one who causes natural disasters...well...supernatural disasters because he causes it lol.

  • i'd like to thank god for uploading this video it has really opened my eyes to god's grace

  • I would like to thank God for curing my flu yesterday...

after days of flu-medicine, rest, food, doctor check ups and perscriptions, I would like to thank GOD for making me better....

  • This is simply offensive. People ass their ass off to save his life and he decides to credit imaginary being in the sky. Fuckwit.

  • Only saved 1 person and called that " god grace "?

If Africa rain weekly, thats call god grace, saving thousands of starving people rather then one deluded moron.

  • i wish the reporter asked if he was mad that god put him in that storm in the first place

  • EXACTLY!

  • To my mind the height of gullibility is accepting without evidence that a debt has been paid in my name, before my birth, without my consent, and in a ridiculous supernatural manor. As if this were not insane enough this is then further compound by proposing that the only way to repay this absurd predetermined debt is through my loyal patronage and feilty, and that refusal to do so would result in dire eternal consequences. This reeks of EXTORTION by definition.

    What dehumanizing mythologies.

  • Well I'll just go and credit god's grace for all human siffering as well. I mean, with power comes responsability, right? Good goin'.

We'll just make upa new word today. We'll combie TRAGEDY and MIRACLE to make TRAGICLES.

    supernatural LUNACY.

  • "God spared my life"

    "Wow, who dropped the raft?"

    "Mark Driver ... "

  • lol. He almost couldn't believe he was actually in the life raft, but he believed he was having a conversation with god, there is irony in there somewhere. I know it is just and expression but still, I think he should choose his words better. Also, ofc it wasn't god that tried to kill him, but it was god that saved him, right? All bad things are just nature but all good things are god?

  • Does he give any thanks to the pilot? I would think the pilot deserve all the credit not a god. I know if I were the pilot I would feel slighted that this man is giving credit to a god rather then where the credit should really go, wanker

  • Interesting that these uneducated sad people NEVER think where was god BEFORE the accident or during??? And where was god with all the people that DIDN'T survive?!?!? COME ON! START THINKING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

  • Oh for fuck's sake how inane is this.

Let's consider how many people have been in a similar situation and.... died.

  • 2:30: his head hit something

So that explains these crazy delusions :D

  • He could thank anyone, maybe a Pink Unicorn if he wanted to. Thanking God is just a way of saying "I was a lucky bastard".

Real Idiots are those working at Fox News.

  • if I was in that situation, and if I was Christian, I would have looked forward to finally going to heaven. Man, god can be an arsehole sometimes.

  • I'd rather thank the coastguard

  • What about thousands of other drowned people? This guy thinks he is more valuable a person than them because "God" saved his life? Idiot.

"[Coast Guard and Navy] save lives as a matter of daily work." ... So who REALLY saved your life? Them or your imaginary friend?

  • Lol, this is too funny.

  • LAW OF ATTRACTION

  • Is bullshit.

  • fuckin idiot

  • I wonder what the relatives of the victims of 9/11 might say, for instance. I winder how many thousands of prayers were said in Lower Manhattan then.

  • This miracle bullshit gets to my nerves

Oh so the coastguard dropped several rafts and you found one...whoop dee fucking doo

Call me when a decapitated person comes back from the dead. Or when a amputee regrows a limb

  • I'm glad the guy survived. I don't believe in miracles, I think it was extremely good fortune. But I'm not going to insult the guy for being, in my opinion, mistaken. What's important is that he survived.

  • I wish the concept of final destination was a reality for this ignorant bastard!

  • So gawd was planning on killing this guy.. until he said the magic words: "Gawd Im going to kiss your ass forever"

  • It's a very emotional moment in this man's life and people tend to look for some special supernatural reasons when there are simple and logical explanations around. Don't be so harsh and offensive, the guy almost died there. Near death experiences usually strengthen one's faith, not the other way around.

  • Grrrrrrrrrrrr! I want to puke in my soup! What a twat...

  • Thank the US Navy and the US Coast Guard you ungrateful fuck. What an idiot. I'm in the Navy and I almost want to say throw his ass back in.

  • My words exactly!!!! thanks

  • Thank the Pilot and crew of the aircraft.

Thank the guy who decided that having spare life-rafts on a plane was a good idea.

    Thank the USS Eisenhower.

    Thank the coastguard.

    Thank the Tax Payer.

Thank the government for deciding that the coastguard was a good idea.

All these people should be thanked before you thank the bastard of a sky daddy who let you go out in a leaky ship.

And all those resources could have been saved by Him patching the hole in the first place.

    What a twat.

  • Thank God? NO! Thank the American tax-payer and Mark Driver..!

  • If God was really looking out for this guy his boat would not have sunk in the first place.

  • It's like Idiocracy... except it's real.

  • @pokerslut530 Since watching that movie I can't help but fear for what the future might hold... D=

  • hahhahaha

    LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M BAITIN!

    LOL!

  • This guy is an idiot

  • Isn't it a bit arrogant to think that "God" when out of his way to personally save one person?

  • and what caused this "vicious storm"? or I'd better say (taking the christian doctrines) who caused it? or who let it happened in the first place? Why did his god wait so long to rescue him?

Also why is "he" giving the task to imperfect human beings?

oh! well, why should I care? ;this is just christian-fox-news propaganda trying to fit their concept of god into our lives. Glad he is alive though.

  • respect to the coast guard and da navy, true heroes who save lives while risking their own. fuck god for makin a storm and putting all those ppl on danger, that's no hero.

  • Said the guy who berates an individual for apparent misuse of spell check?

  • I do not think that pointing out the irony of a comment using one, short sentence counts as "berating." Don't exaggerate. Have I upset you more than the comment I am referring to? The guy who called the survivor names for stating beliefs different than his own?

  • WoW, The mentality of some. Thanks to the men and women of the US Coast Guard and Navy, not GOD, who saved this tards life. Idiocy reins!

  • When commenting on idiocy, be sure to use spell check.

  • At 3:00 he's just making shit up to justify his crazily religious beliefs.

  • what a scam. he went out to the sea, knowing hed be rescued so he can get some attention. what a shame.

  • I commend this guy wanting to now go out and help others. That's really great. But to follow his claim to its logical end, all the people who were lost at sea who weren't miraculously saved (ie. the majority of those in his situation) were, strictly speaking, condemned by God. I bet he wouldn't be willing to support that statement.

  • So if God spared his life he also capsized the boat; in other words his God was messing with him then decided to save him...

  • idiots

  • thank god for good luck.

  • If he actually had 'God's Grace' he wouldn't have been in that position in the first place.

All thanks should go to the Coast Guard and Navy.

  • @LlortnA Cognitive dissonance at its finest! ;)

  • I really want some Jew, Muslim etc to come out thanking Yaweh or Allah for the same kind of thing.

I wonder if people would be so willing to put someone like that on FOX "news".

  • @HumanStrategy Ummm Yahweh and allah are the same as the Chrisitan gawd (all are the one gawd of Abraham)

  • Of course, you are correct. However, when was the last time you asked a Christian if they believe in Allah and they said yes? I'm appealing to colloquial definitions here not what you and I would give a proper discourse to.

  • These guys makes me want to puke. 6 minutes of pure bullshit.

  • "Glory To God" sunk to the bottom.... LOL!!

  • another day in America...a country filled with dumbfucks with the rational-minded as a minority

  • Okay, lets start by thanking the pilots, then the people of the aircraft carrier. No amount of prayer made the PILOT DROP THAT RAFT in the correct position. I'm almost sick watching this. Has nothing to do with the fact that the raft is designed to float a certain way (that is right side up) Maybe we thank an engineer? Maybe we talk about the diver that helped? Come on!

  • I'm glad he's alive too... but for fucks sake, give the credit to the people who saved your fucking life!

He kept saying that there was no way that raft would have come to him, and that it was a miracle. But he says this just a minute after the man who saved his life explained that he dropped the raft down-wind so it would get to him!

  • @freedom0f5peech I found that juxtaposition funny, too. I wonder if he was able to hear the rest of the braodcast?

The messed up thing is that he thinks he was saved by God's intervention. I wonder why he doesn't think he boat was sunk through God's intervention? Religious bias at its finest...

  • Ha ! The host asked "Who dropped the raft" right after he said god saved him. Maybe the COASTGUARD saved him??????

  • Kudos^3 to the Coastguard and Navy.

  • of course god gets all the cred, not the coastguard.

  • Fucking ungrateful fuck. Christians, fuckers.

  • My head hurts...

This reminds me of the pilot who landed the Boeing 747 in the Hudson last year...the one where the media praised god for guiding the plan into the water...doesn't matter one fuckin' bit that the pilot was experienced at flying gliders, no...it was god!

Was it god that also directed the geese to fly into the plane engines that caused the problem?

Dennis Clements, if you are reading any of this, publicly praise the guys who saved your ass...god had nothing to do with it.

  • Better headline: "Coast Guard Pilot Uses Common Sense and Taxpayer Hardware to Rescue Stupid Christian"

  • @fourthirteen Great comment, made me laugh my ass off!!

  • You'd think that the millions of starving people would be God's priority.

But I'm glad he didn't give God all of the credit, I hate it when people give God complete credit for something real people did.

  • What a holy moron.

  • So god saved him. It makes perfect sense. I suppose god must have been on other errands when the 1517 passengers who drowned on the RMS Titanic needed his help.

  • "Final conversation with God"

If this isn't proof then I don't know what is!

  • How does he know that big wave wasn't God's personal invitation to join Him in glory? How does he know God isn't muttering under his breath: "Damn intervening rescuers!"?

    ;-)

  • Typical. Why is anyone surprised by this?

  • He was very lucky. It's as simple as that.

  • I REALLY FUCKING HATE HOW THE HOST BABIES THE GUY AND ACTS LIKE A FUCKING DUMBASS.

But most of all I hate how these ignorant fucks give thanks to something that doesn't exist when they could be giving even more thanks to the guys that REALLY saved his life. Fucking no hope for the human race.

  • He should thank himself, because if his dumb ass hadn't gotten lost the rescue never would have happened.
