It was actually recorded by Stevie originally, too. About 5 or 6 years before Aretha did it. He didn't release it until much later, but it's a stunning version if i must say so myself.
I had the sublime pleasure of experiencing Basia and her tight band at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu in July 1994. Her Band included the rhythm section from Incognito with of course Peter and Danny White. It was the same group that is on Live at the Beacon from NYC. Thank you Basia for your musical integrity, chops and sharing it with the world !

It was actually recorded by Stevie originally, too. About 5 or 6 years before Aretha did it. He didn't release it until much later, but it's a stunning version if i must say so myself.

I had the sublime pleasure of experiencing Basia and her tight band at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu in July 1994. Her Band included the rhythm section from Incognito with of course Peter and Danny White. It was the same group that is on Live at the Beacon from NYC. Thank you Basia for your musical integrity, chops and sharing it with the world !

I love this song and Basia's "Promises." I use to work at a grocery store that played these songs religiously and I never knew who she was. G-D bless youtube!

The classic wall of harmonies of her voice is the reson i listen to her songs-besides all the other reasons-including: She's beauyiful, classy, sofisticated, her band has soul and the funk(good the good kind)and not to mention-what amazing songs! we love her(the fans) "yah yah yah yah yah yah!!"

Basia is simply smoking hot in a timeless kind of way.
Never grow tired of her singing and miss her glad to hear she has a new release.
The woman is simply wonderful and romatic and beautiful to boot.
The european women have class and stlye that American women could learn from.
