  • Fantastic angle with the mirror, Simon!

  • Wonderful! Wonderful!

Love the camera angle and mirror!

I believe this takes a little mistery out of the tap centering too!

The attention to detail on your little giger

jar is great as well. Keep practicing should also mean keep stretching a little further each time with the fine details of trimming.

I try to stress that alot but many of my younger students seem to just want to move on. It does help when one has their own studio, tools and get more comfortable with their pieces.

  • Okidoki! Nearby perfection. Really like that pot, would be lovely in your celadonglase.

    Hastalavista sénor!

  • Great camera angle and mirror makes yours the clearest potter's videos on YouTube. How is the Simon Leach tool project coming? Many of us are just waiting to order.

  • Hi C ..thanks for feedboack re camera angle. Toolkits are going to need time for me to ptoduce / & or get someone to make for me ...be patient.. SL

  • Love this angle with the mirror. Nice view. Second the request to watch you throw with this new set up! Nice pot too.

  • thats by far the best angle for the camera! really interesting and helpful. Simon, have you/will you write a book? Just would be fascinated to hear more about you. The snippets you give us in your videos about your experiences make me want to learn more! Especially why you moved to Spain.....thanks for all your inspiration!

  • Book .... that 'll be a little way off maybe . Who knows ..aha !! Sl

  • Absolutely fantastic camera angle with the use of the mirror. Viewing the throwing from this angle would be great, except the mirror will get a little muddy, but fun. Joe Pinder

  • Hooray Simon! You know, that overhead view is so good we almost don't need the mirror but it's a GREAT "added value!"

Any chance of zooming a wee bit closer? Then I think we could call it perfect. You're a doll, thanks for sharing!!!!!!

  • That's the best camera angle yet!!!!

  • how come you do not use clay wads to keep pot

from sliding? I use them all the time when trimming....

Love the videos simon....you are very honest about

    your approach to clay....

  • Ok , but why use lumps of clay to cumbersomely hold a pot when you can actually do it without & a whole lot quicker ...if you learn the trick & wait for it !!!!....keep practicing ! hang on in there . SL

  • Have you started using foam bats?

  • I have one ,but use it seldomly , just for that tricky piece that needs a bit extra grip...SL

  • Excellent video thanks! The camera angle plus mirror work very well indeed.

I keep trying the tap-centering but it's not working for me..i can't seem to get the timing right.

  • Very effective with the mirror. Well done!

  • Fantastic view I would love to see some GP bowls with this angle. Nick

  • The view from above with the extra angle by the mirror is excellent! Love your work.
