great idea, now i just have 2 figure out way 2 build 1 with electrical outlets so I can plug in my speakers, computer, etc... so I can work in peace. the apartments above me & next 2 me drive me absolutely nuts, as I hear them walk, stomp, etc... but 4 this kind of cubicle, I guess m gona need 1 foot to 2 foot thick walls, door, & space for at least twice my body length, length and width.
Not to be rude but for soundproofing you can always go to the foodservice distributors+get a zillion purple cardboard pieces that separate apples... much cheaper (like 10 cents apiece at most) or even free.
@SoirNoirKat Hi! Thanks for your comment, and no you're not being rude. You're looking to save money as well as many, many people out there! It's a great idea, but they deteriorate after awhile and become pretty useless. Using an eco-friendly material like our Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets, you'll notice how effective these really are. They are completely portable and will help with the overall sound pressure levels in the space. Thanks for your comment. If you have any questions, holler!
All the work you put into building a nice room, only to put the ugly sound sheets inside! I'm sure they work great, but they look really bad! I guess it's okay if you're not going to have any clients come over to record. I'd go back in there and make them fit better and not hang off the walls and flop over onto the floor.
@remixfestival Hey, thanks for your comment! We have several other appealing items on our website, have you checked those out? Sheets are just an alternative to a cost effective solution. Thanks again!
@audimutedemos I really like how you are responded to SoirNoirKat and remixfestival . Fruit juice from concentrate is better that soda. However, it is not as good as All-Natural bottle fruit juice, which is not as good as home-made juice. Yet just plain water beats it all, and still there is a market for each of them. You market your wares, and if it does not appeal to some, they can choose not to buy or even better, tell you how you can improve on it, instead of sounding derogatory. Cheers.
@kpitter Hi, thanks for your comment. We have lots of products available for you on our website. I can list our pricing here, but I will exceed the character count. Would you like me to send over an email to you with pricing? Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets run about $1.50/sqft. And we have price breakdowns too should you buy them in Kits. Also our Peacemaker runs about $1.80/sqft, and we also offer free shipping on almost every single product we offer!
@HEMAS13 Well, let's make you a soundproof vocal booth! Give me a call so we can discuss.. i'm sure you'll be pleased with the products we have to offer - Mallory 866 505 6683
@Pickle1312 Of course they can, but it'll be muffled! You need to apply more than just peacemaker and drywall, maybe use some type of R insulate as well, double layer Peacemaker and 5/8" thick drywall. Give a call so we can discuss.
@Bennyclay661 Absorption Sheets are mostly used to absorb sound within a room, so if you're standing outside of it yelling, you'd most likely still hear that on the inside..however, if you used Peacemaker in addition to Absorption Sheets, you'd get much better results and the yelling would sound very muffled. As far as the holes go, you could fill them in with spackle in seconds! Let us know if you have any other questions! 866-505-6883
You should check out jeff coopers "building a recording studio".....also, when you frame a room use "6lb 2 inch" insulation. You can't find it at lows but local insulation places have....it works really well.
I've got this stuff and it's awesome. It's cuts down on the reverb in here big time and I found that it REALLY tightens up the bottom end of my monitors by draping them over the back of each speaker. They might not be the prettiest way to cut down on reverb but they're the most economical solution that doesn't involve nasty fiberglass.
Hello,

question: if you're voice acting screams while inside the booth, can people outside of it hear you?

Actually using a staple or nail gun is NOT the best idea. They transfer sound into the wood. Use some kind of adhesive instead.
darknailblue 1 year ago
if you stand behind the door closed and im yelling can you inside can you hear me?
and if later i want to take down the sheets whats the best way to fix the wholes left by the nail gun?
