This video is extremely tear-inducing ...if for no other reason than he isn't able to speak as often as I would like. Good thing I have most of his books to rely upon. Get better, Hitchens.... the world still has a need for your intellect and courageousness.

I just finished listening to Hitch 22, which I highly recommend, and even though publishers like to hype him as a "contrarian" (he didn't want his book to have that title) or "polemicist", something that strikes one throughout his memoir is his tenderness, sensitivity and love. This girl is inheriting a world made a little bit better by Hitchens, and it's very touching to see this little scene between generations.

this man does not deserve pity. What He deserves is the acknowledgement that he is a fucking legend. A man that is just greater than his animal limitations. a legacy that death nor pain will not even scratch.
