Blade flurry is a very strong ability when glyphed, combat rogues can do absurd amounts of damage if toggled properly.

if you want to learn here start out with garrote then use slice and dice right away

next get 5 combo points and use rupture then get 5 more with at least 4 stacks of deadly poison and use envenom and repeat use the glyphs slice and dice killing spree and sinister strike and dont forget about blade fury glyph put instant poison in main have and deadly poison in off hand and you will do at least 15k dps and 27 at most but remember what i said only use this as a combat rogue

@Autokillz1 You surely have never done 27k dps, using envenom as combat rogue is a dps loss, using killing spree glyph is a dps loss, using rupture isnt necessarly a dps boost.

Ok with gear u have on u can do double what your currently doing in combat spec. heres quick run down. With 3 points in lethality u need to reforge 1128 points into Hit and expertise needs to be 27/27 or 781.. all the rest should be in crit. On single targets rupture is a must. Rotation: Open with SS to 3 CP SnD SS to 4 CP 1 RS rupture SS to 4 CP 1 RS Evi Then all u do is keep up SnD and rupture but don't re-apply rupture until its fallen off. Never let SnD fall off.

Also just watching your test run, u have to really focus on not letting your energy cap.. use killing spree when energy is at zero.. U have to remember that combat rogues are about pure melee, not their finishing moves like evi. also SnD glyph is useless as u can keep SnD up very easy without it in above rotation. I use to be assassination pumping out 12k @ 340ILvl until i saw a combat rogue less geared pumping out a tad over 12k. Im now doing 14k+

Good video and very help full, but sorry to say man my level 80 combat rouge can hit way harder, and i completely got rid of sinister strike, revealing strike seems to be more effective. Also for killingspree can work with fan of knives, its great for an AOE

hmm is Main Gauche really that bad ? if you consider the Combat Potency Talent ?, i mean if you have high enough mastery you should be gaining energy pretty much, but i do not own a 85 rogue and can't test this out, although it feels like you could spam out more ability's if my theory works. and there fore boost other abilitys instead of hoping for much dps from Main Gauche. would be cool if you could check it out.

Aldriana told me specifically that rupture has a 1% benefit over Evis only. I know, this isn't a big deal, but you make it sound like it's totally worthless and just not worth it at all. That is just not true. Also, do not forget you are attacking a dummy with no armor. Rupture negates all armor, Evis negates none (sunder removes before the actuality of the ability). Glyph of SnD is also awful for Combat, because Combat's SnD duration is so long, it's a complete waste of a glyph to use it.

@Vyrzek Uh, I went with RvS not SnD...watch more closely. What do you mean a dummy with no armor? I assure you the dummy does have armor. Try attacking a dummy with a warrior, then using Colossus Smash. You'll see a huge difference in damage.

with the haste regeneration and just combat energy regen now combat energy pooling is essentially useless.

The rotation now is just keeping rupture up, slice and dice up, and eviscerating.

Never K spree if you can sinister strike, waste of an energy regen.

If you want to get a revealing strike in every time the glyph can fuck it up seeing as how having 5 points and revealing striking is a dps loss.

Alright, quite a few things to point out. 1. Main Gauche isn't that awful, the only reason it's something like ~2% of your DPS is because you use a dagger (as you should) and an extra swing every five sinister strikes or main-hand strikes equates to not much damage. However, deadly poison can be applied and Combat Potency can also proc from this. It is not the worst mastery in the game, however, it needs a buff. Second, rupture is not bad, at all.

First off you should be using Instant Poison, it is infinitely better. Revealing Strike is a horrible move, why would you use revealing instead of Eviscerating at 4 cp, and using the energy for more Sinister Strikes, which do more damage than what Revealing Strike adds to your finisher, and can proc two CP. You should be opening with Killing Spree, not some horrid 3k Ambush or Garrote. The whole point of this is to maximize the amount of times you can use it in a battle.

@Vehshya Rogue is geared completely at pvp and is also fairly easy to play. If you were wanting to get to high level pvp fast, I would take a pally or warrior and level as prot tanking in dungeon finder to get instances super fast. Pallys in general are solid for pvp with great survivability and arms warriors are also quite beastly. Rogue is also very strong in pvp being able to tear apart clothies and other lone chars very quickly.
