@nastypupp Hi, good luck! Yes i think a couple of layers of cardboard might be ok. Try to seal it with something so it doesnt get soggy. I used acrylic paints. Just got to seal it with something too.

@yujinx3 This is a good question and I am not sure. I know that with a few uses the paint didn't wash off this volcano. You might be ok, but it will really depend on the exact type of paint. You could do a test by painting something small, letting it dry then pouring diet coke on it. Then you would know for sure.

Because you are south of the equator you have to put the volcano upside down for it to work. LOL! Just kidding. I am not sure why it won't work. has to be a difference in the product. I am guessing its something in the diet coke. Try regular coke. That works too but is stickier so I go with the diet coke, less sugar is less sticky mess.

HI , I wrapped it in foil but after it was done I punched a hole in the foil at the top of the bottle. You should do it as soon as possible. Don't wait, just in case you have problems you have time to fix it.
