  • AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME !!!!

    Weights ? ;)

  • @ihatelols I was using two 35lbers and a short bar. the kettlebell was probably 53lbs and the dumbell was at 75lbs

  • Dude, you kick ass!

  • You, my friend, are a rockstar!

  • wow, really enjoyed your efforts.luv the old time lifts.

  • Vyvial, you're awesome.

one of your students just moved to Lincoln and we're looking forward to training with him in Omaha.

    PEACE!

  • I wouldn't say awesome, we are just doing our thing here in Austin. Thank you though and enjoy the training with my student.

  • Nice to see this!

  • Avail !!!!!!!!!

  • I thought I had seen this place here in Austin! Thanks for confirming at the end of the video. Good work on your lift. I am going to be trying my first two hands anyhow tomorrow morning at Hyde Park Gym. The weight will be relatively light: I have a decent one hand barbell snatch and a good kb clean. I will try to work on good form and add weight in the coming weeks. Thanks for the video!

  • nice job not giving up. love this movement; it's so asthetically pleasing.

  • That is totally badass

  • Nice lifting but this is not the two hands anyhow . I do not see a bent press which the lift included. Done correctly you should be able to bent press more than you can clean.

  • not true, the official lift is "anyhow", that was the rules used to judge it. Eugene Sandow used the Bent press however, which is why that is a popular way to do it. I used the 1 arm snatch or clean and jerk because that was currently what I was training. No reason to use a Bent press if I could get the bar up without it. If using a challenging weight, I would use a bent press.

  • We do this kind of lifting here in England for the BSAG. iT AINT EASY BUT ITS FUN

  • Happy year of the ox!

  • Badass, You would make the Saxon brothers proud.

  • That was awesome! Watching the successive attempts and the final victory is great! Thanks for the video

  • this was fun to watch. i'm reading alot about those old time guys now. those books are really interesting and very relavent. anyway, dude, are you going to see butthole surfers at stubb's? it's the all original line up.

  • Your "learning the oldtime lifts" videos are very helpful and entertaining. the oldtimers were the most interesting strongmen of all time

  • That looks insanely difficult

  • that is cazy bra

  • Dude, you're the man........total respect.

  • keep it up! My two-hands anyhow attempt is part way through my video response. Other videos of mine feature it as well.

  • very very difficult, very very impressive

  • Hahaha I love it you are quite nuts there ;)

Though it might be easier to start the bar on the shoulder instead of snatching or cleaning it up in the first place... Well, as they say "ANYHOW". I usually do it with two kettlebells though!

  • Right hand under the bar PALM FACING UP. Stand up and pull bar toward your chest. Rotate bar 180 degrees elbow planted on right side-bar lays BEHIND your neck. Looking straight ahead dead-lift kettlebell with left hand. When done, place left elbow on left knee, look at your right hand and push up while twisting your torso.Lean towards your right side, DO NOT take eyes off the bar.Lock out the bar.Only then look ahead and pull kettlebell forward at 90 degrees to your body-"latern lift".Viola!

  • Official United States All-Around Lifting Association rules for the 2-Hand Anyhow:

Any combination of barbells and/or dumbbells or kettle bells may be used. The methods chosen for lifting are optional. However, two implements must be used. Both must be lifted individually from the floor.

The lifter may press, push, or jerk the weight overhead, or use a combination of all of the above. The lifter may make more than one attempt at lifting the weight.

  • Uninitiated have no clue as to the difficulty of this lift. Brain is trying to do both, control the press and weight pull at the same time.

Familiar with the "freestyle" rules.Being nostalgic however prefer the "Classic form".

We call it "corkscrew" press back home:)

    Stay Strong!

  • yeah.like someone allready said, you should just stick with dumbells as far as the one handed overhead stuff goes.not saying you're not a tough strong dude but eeeek!seriously!...one lil mishap with that barbell to dumbell lift could become catastrophic! At least start wearing a helmet if you must continue on this sort of quest.actually no...wait,it could still land on and break you're neck.

  • Some of the greatest strongmen were also catch wrestlers. One of my favorites was Edward Aston. Have you ever thought about incorporating catch skills in your Ving Tsun training?

  • that's great!

  • FUCK!!!! HOw??????????

  • great stuff i gotta try that technique

  • Fantastic - Motivating + Fun as hell. That's real lifting, man. Any losers who make lame comments, first learn the lift, then TRY this lift, then come back and figure out how to change your stupid comments. What sad condition is this "community" in ???

  • pussy

  • That is tooo dangerous, nobody does that crazy stuff anymore. For a one hand lift, use a dumbell.

  • im just starting to do snatches at the moment with barbell heads at the gym turn but fuckin hell lol u do what this guys doin every one would be watchin this looks so cool but i'll leave that to the pros eg u lol thanks for uploadin

  • The Avail house on Main st. used to be one of my neighbors....

  • Awesome stuff as always.

One of the best songs ever! (Band is Avail, check them out)

  • excellent i loved it

  • Dude I totally thought you were going to drop that thing on your head lol. Awesome lift I would love to see any steroid bloated bodybuilder try that one.
