  • I too would love to see Andy and Steve reunite for a last blast before one of them pops his clogs.

  • At least the last two members of Sweet shold be toruring together to use the name of the group. Otherwise there would be two groups using the same name. If this is what is hapening, it must be called Sweet Tribute or something else.To me, the most important thing is to show teir music to new generations. I´m doing my part with my 8 and 4 years old sons. They love Rock and Roll and Heavy Metal.

  • Yeah, I agree with you that the two remaining living original members both have rights to the name Sweet. What I meant when I said "those guys ... don't deserve to use the name" I was referring to the replacement singer, guitarist and drummer. Rather than going by "The Sweet", it would be more proper to go as "Steve Preist's Sweet" or "Steve Priest formerly of the Sweet" (I know Stuart and Richie, 2 of the replacements). It would be more honorable to Mick and Brian's legacy.

  • LAME

  • Naja, irgendwie schrecklich!! Nicht mein Fall..-..

  • this ucking sux

  • O Gott wie furchtbar,Brian dreht sich im Grabe um..........

  • On the other hand its great to have Steve Priest playing those great songs again, And if is going to do that, i would definitely prefer he use good musos. Personally I think while Seve is there, there is nothing wrong with using the name. Can't bring Brian or Mick sadly.

  • Really irks me when bands with only one or two original members, especially minor members, go out touring and such using the names of bands are truly are no longer. Mick Tucker and Brian Connolly were the two main founders of the band and they are both sadly deceased. This line-up here only features the original bassist. This is NOT The Sweet, rather this is a TRIBUTE band. None of those guys, albiet good musicians, deserve to use the name, they did not earn it.

  • @Sbrownlee I don't think there was any single owner of the Sweet name, therefore both Andy Scott and Steve Priest have been using it with their respective bands. It should be noted that Brian Conolly did the same thing when he left the band in 1979; his version of Sweet was a rival to the remaining three members. I personally would love to see Steve and Andy reunite one last time before they die.
