What strikes me as incredible is how the goalkeeper animations peaked about seven years ago and have progressively worse.  Especially on PES. FIFA keepers move very realistically but they are too hard to beat. PES 3 or 5 the best ever anyone?

@tigreros92 ok heres my only problem with PES....WHY THE FUCK does the computer controlled players do stupid ass shit all the time like slide tackling from behind when I have clearly not pressed the "defensive support" button or even selected them in the first place!!! also, sometimes the players dont trap the ball even though in real life they would have full control of the ball. given the AI problems and licensing and stupid commentators and the useless stadium editor, I still prefer PES tho

i dont know why, but i think older games ( 2000-2005 ) had better animations, frame rate, physics... newest FIFA or PES have great graphics and nothing else is good :/

P.S. i really love soccer, after seeing this, i think FIFA 10 even sucks :D

wow, great job on both videos; it was amazing to see the development of such a great combination of two ideas. also i'm guessing the end of the 2nd video was all on ps2 or xbox but this video would be perfectly finished with a few shots of fifa 10 on ps3 which, in my opinion, is the greatest sports game ever made. just an opinion but i hope you eventually do a third, or maybe part 2 and a half. lol

all those awesome ISS/PES games right up until PES2008 where it's just been awful ( yep, including PES2010)

all those god awful FIFA games. Maybe with the exception of FIFA 98: RTWC which was good fun i guess. I love how there were so many footy titles to choose from up until PS2 the nit was just a choice between PES & FIFA only for the most part. So sad that happened as both games are such crap these days, yep even FIFA 09/10 too altho they are the best of a very bad bunch i guess...

Euro 2000 was actually the Fifa 2000 a bit modified. But in my opinion Fifa 2000 was better than Euro 2000, in graphics and jogability.

World Cup 2006 was a wonderful soccer game. In my opinion, better than Fifa 2006 and PES 2006. EA could have made FIFA 2007 using the same game engine used on WC 2006! That would have been a better game.

I think World Cup 2010 will also be a wonderful game!!! EA is specialist on doing special games for events (World Cup, Euro Cup). Well, let's wait........

What a great video! That song from Sensible World of Soccer (or Sensi, as we called it) brings it all back! Why has there not been a game since as ambitious, from a content point of view? That game had pretty much every league in the world! Yet to be beaten for sheer gameplay excellence.
