Great Jubei. I love Judo/Aikido/Grappling characters in every fighting game I play. Grappling is the strongest technique since a lot of people still play turtle style in most fighting games.
Sure, I'll try to help. Actually, the reason why people can upload videos longer than 10 minutes is because they are 'old' Directors.
In the olden days to get this Director status interested applicants would have to fill in an online form on YouTube and wait for weeks or even months for the outcome.
But last year, YouTube scrapped this idea, so new members can no longer apply or be able to uploaded longer videos.
hey i remember having this game on my SNES!! it was my favorite game!!! but i don't remember being able to choose the 4 bosses in the character select screen... how did you get that?
I notice that you keep using that sliding throw move over and over again. This would not work in the arcade version, they would just jump over it a kick you or counter it with one of their special moves.
I see. I use it cos I like the move a lot (it cannot be blocked), and it's hilarious that even at level 8 I can keep doing it and they keep falling for it most of the time ^_~
Wow, SeventhSun. You're really good at this. And I agree Krauser is badass. Have you seen the anime movie with him in it? One of the best villains ever. I've been looking for an mp3 of his theme song from the anime (when he plays the harpsichord). Any suggestions?
I guess so. Both are Germans. And yes, me too. Wolfgang Krauser is the best hands down (at least in the world of Fatal Fury) and I will ALWAYS support him over that stupid overrated Geese Howard.
And when I also get my copy of the King Of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match, I would choose Rugal Bernstein, Wolfgang Krauser and Goenitz and call them "Team Germany" or something to that effect.
You're right to like them either way, Krauser was the innovator in huge ki blast in the fighting world, I don't remember Ryu every going supersize! LOL
Geese is over rated, yeah he has a lot of moves and attacks but Krauser's unique in that he is very large which rarely happens now a days, (must be an asian thing to have your enemy smaller than you)and over whelming attacks that you can barely get out of, if that's not a boss then nothing else is. I always get the greatest workout with him.
Agreed. Even my friend remarked that Krasuer does indeed have the look of a boss (before he proves himself even further with his moves naturally).
Oh yes I even started a little poll years ago in a retro video game forum on who would be victorious when both engage in battle - Geese Howard or Wolfgang Krauser. I'm surprised to see that most picked the latter when I thought Geese fanboys would ruin it in some way or another.
Yeah, like I said before it must definately be an asian thing, it must be the gi he has that makes him so popular, but yeah, Krauser all the way and forever. The movies really were bad but Krauser even in there made it just a little better, even though they changed him a bit. Someone should petition that he come back and rechallenge Terry, he did say one day again?
I love this game, to me it is the best and most authentic one of all, I dislike all others because they deviated from this core gameplay and style of fighting. Thank you so much, I loved every bit of it, Krauser is my all time favorite.
Nice video. Jubei is not only my favorite FF2 character but one of my favorite characters ever. I took up Judo because of him hehehhaa. I would buy a new system if he existed in any of the newer games. R.I.P. Jubei
I did see him as a background character in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (another GREAT fighting game), but even then the way they drew him made him look kinda different from what he actually looked like in this game. I think SNK Playmore has lost it.
Well Nintendo is like Disney. They are, or WERE, rooting for "wholesome quality family entertainment".
Otherwise how else would the Japanese Super Nintendo be called a 'Super Fami(ly)Com(puter)' and the blood in Mortal Kombat is being substituted for sweat?
Jubei Yamada was one of my favorite fighters. It's a shame that he never was a playable characther beyond FF2/Special. I've nevered owned a SuperNES (my friend bought it for his 11 years ago before he moved away & I played it on his). I'm getting Fatal Fury Battle Archives vol. 1 when it comes out soon.
much's i like the SNK-Fatal Fury games REALLY-I-DO !! but the super nintendo version well' o,so sega genesis version has well TO ME THEY WORE NOT GOOD not has good has the ARCADE version's which i love paying back in the days
one thing that bothers me about old ports made by Takara is: Did they ever heard of "sprite compression?" These games would be a lot closer to the original if they used it.
good vid of the very flawed SNES version of FF2. Warning for those of you who just know this version, when Fatal Fury Battle Archives vol. 1 hits the states soon, you'll be getting the arcade versions, and SNK arcade games have merciless AI.
What the hell are you talking about, kid? Games today are all flash no substance. I'm not denying the great visuals, but quite frankly gaming companies need to quit rushing the developers to release just for the buck. It just pisses me off.
Ah yes, you could use him and do the half-moon slic repeatedly to seize victory, haha, but the com is worse- if his vertical leg stomp in the air (his favorite move) lands right next to you on the way down, you'd better throw in a jab or something or he'll slam you. He is also one of those who would sometimes perform the desperation move on full health when you're barely getting started.
i think that was my favourite in the series; i was always a fan of Tung Fu Rue (complete with his macho moves, ripped out of DBZ) and you can't say no to a secret character crossed over from another series :)
Hmm, my favorite is Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 - The Newcomers. Love Kim and his restored (or yet disabled) Tae Kwon Do moves (like kusajin etc that Bob Wilson and Jhun Hoon shamelessly copied at his expense).
Ah, that secret character must be Ryo Sakazaki, haha.

This is Fatal Fury Special. The regular version did not give you Geese, Wolfgang, and the other two....hope that answers your question
G0dspelronin 3 years ago
oh ok, i thought so as well. so the video title saying that it's fatal fury 2 is incorrect i assume
outtriggers 3 years ago
You know what, that is strange. I know that Special made the bosses playable but that did not seem to be the case here.....you got me on that one.
G0dspelronin 3 years ago
Geese is missing, maybe Seventh Sun will explain that one..
G0dspelronin 3 years ago
btw the flashing shadows in this game are SO ANNOYING!!! if they couldn't get em right they should have just left the shadows out.

cool! nice run. good game, but i think super street fighter 2's game play is better.

I always thought that on the SNES, Mai's echo-ey scream+her stage worked well. Anyway, great playthrough!
Because of you, I'm trying to master Jubei (And currently, I'm damned good with him!).

12 fighters for Fatal Fury 2 is decent. It was on par with Street Fighter II Champion Edition, both which came out in the same year.

this version seem a serious scaled down version of the original arcade but for a SNES its still impressive

I personally respect Wolfgang Krauser as an honorable opponent over that overhyped Geese Howard.
I totally relish seeing that bastard undergo terminal velocity off his own building like a free soul in the first arcade Fatal Fury game.
