Thanks for the nice comment, but I don't really understand what you mean about 'how I fixed it'. If you mean how I made it in 8-bit, I use 2 gameboys, one hooked up with custom firmware and software and the other with LSDJ and nanoloop cartridges. But yeah, thanks.

I did it directly out of the GB, so unfortunately that isn't possible.

Actually, since you got it here, you can then record it using audiacity or something with the Stereomix recording setting, trim it, and export it too a WAV or MP3. From there, you can use a MIDI converter, but I'd personally just stick with WAV or MP3 or whatnot. It's a tad roundabout though. Also, awesome job! Xp
