does danyel have all her teeth..im guessing no partly becuz of inbreeding, tweek and spooey residue.and she certainly doesnt look like she was born in 74.
Fourth or fifth favorite buckethead song. I actually got into Buckethead from his album "Colma". Which differs greatly from almost all his albums, save "Electric Tears".
I love this song for it's mimicry, when I was in highschool band we played a song (Only once unfortunately) that was supposed to mimic an antique clock store. The power of musical instruments to do this has always fascinated me.
Ya haha, atonal is very strict though. The 12-tone system for it is only way of playing atonal music, however atonal can just mean displeasing to the ear. It doesn't need to be theoreticaly(if there is any theory of it) correct.
Yes, it was a system developed by an atonal composer way back who's name escapes me at the moment. It is a set of rules you must follow to make sure that you avoid a tonal center. You should look it up if you're interested in this kind of stuff.
Well, it's just odd. You'd have to see sheet music for it and have someone explain it. I think it's becuase you can't use the same notes twice (with the exception of trills), it'll add up to 12 notes in random order. I could be completly wrong though, music theory is a bitch enough as it is, and atonal is the opposite of it lol.
Haha, but you're right, it is a serialistic system. However, Schoenberg was the first composer to make it into a systematic way of making atonal music. Kind of genious actually. Look up microtonal music, now that's a bitch.
Also, Island of Lost Minds is his most atonal album, so listen to get an idea of what I mean. Or, as an alternative, listen to some other things hes made as Death Cube K or other songs on Cuckoo Clocks.
Atonal music is absolute dissonance, total avoidence of anything theoreticaly correct in music and anything "pleasing to the ear". However, atonal for me is quite pleasing. If you want to play it, you can't center anything around a....well anything pretty much, it's all in the timing and whatever comes across your mind as you play. Hope this helped.
atonal music is kinda the opposite of melodic :P like this stuff - sounds bad to the ear and in theory shoiuld not sound good(i think), but i reckon its awesome :D
im a fucking die hard fan!! yeah, i gotta say, he is seriously amazing, i just wish i had like 1% of his skill. and you can never have enough buckethead in a day.
Actually they are program drums, Done by an awesome man named Dan Monti, Or Del Rey Brewer. (for some reason he has 2 names.) He also does the music writing with Buckethead.

Anytime man. It sounds very alien.
JJack887 2 years ago
actually the 12 tone thing is a serialist movement.. the point of atonal is to not follow any rules at all
boz211 2 years ago
Yes, but I was speaking in terms of Arnold Schoenberg, the originator of the 12-tone system to be used in music, not in atonal's direct origins.
JJack887 2 years ago 2
im sorry, not too sound like a retard or anything. but i still dont understand how the 12 tone affects atonal music...

apart from the obvious things... im not that special haha

hmmm im really sure that is serialism, the 12 tone thing.... but i could also be wrong.
we'll have to do rock, paper, scissors to see who is right

sometimes playing guitar atonally is fun and sounds cool cause it's so weird..

That's most of Buckethead's playing. It sounds bad to any ear not accustomed to atonal playing.
