I see that not many of you know this but there was a show called The Kids of Degrassi Street even BEFORE junior high. All I remember about it really was that Wheels lived with his brother in it, not his Grandma, I was pretty young when it came out..

This was the most realistic of the Degrassi shows because the kids WERE NOT actors they were just kids who lived in the neighbourhood and attended Degrassi Street P.S. I wanted to be on the show but I lived in Cabbagetown so I couldn't and they never made a TV show about us poor kids lol.
