Yellow Submarine was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; the movie was written by Richard Lester (Hard Days Night and Help)(I believe..i may stand corrected on this)...but, generally, The Beatles had little to do with the Movie but to approve certain aspects of the movie. Check the big Anthology book for the info on it. I have read the whole book but can not remember the specifics. AS for The Beatles...themselves... They LOVED it..
