  • so its like wetting the babys head but wetting the planes head lol ,, i seen this 2day it rather excited me x

  • i hate this fucking plane i love airbus planes but this one is so shit the b747-8 is better

  • does it park at the terminal?

  • Love this plane so much, i was there that day:D

  • Once again, a beautiful airplane filmed on a beautiful camera.

  • Awesome. What more can I say.... Planes Absolutely Rule!

  • Um, sink rate looked a little severe from the "wing bounce" on touchdown, and they were hard right rudder to keep it on the center line. no pressure, guys.

  • Beautiful video as alway,s,thanks Simon.

  • emirates taking over the world lol

  • LOOK 'ERE, THER'S A HOLE!

  • beautiful

  • The tailfin on that thing must be the size of a tennis court.

  • such an amazing large plane hard to believe how much stuff and how much space there is inside it

  • Pilot doing a lot of rudder work on landing.

    Great video.

Fan-bloody-tastic aircraft, cant wait to fly on her.

  • great vid the TCX aircraft which took off going past it looks so so small next to the A380!

  • great video ..

when is the A380 coming to MAN now? How many flights per week and what is the scheduled ETA ?

  • @Evergreen245 every day at about 12:25pm. Cheers!

  • @1970sPlaneSpotter

    thank you :)

    will be there soon

  • Amazing video! As Always!

  • @cjg2k9 Okay thanks

  • @cjg2k9 Yeah I meant Nimrod. Do you know when the viewing park got it?

  • When did the viewing park get a Vulcan

  • Singapore airlines rox!(:

  • Wow. A lot of people to see the best airline land :)

  • @bluepanther1011 I have to disagree. There are better airlines. Emirates squeeze a 3-4-3 economy on their 777s as opposed to BA or CX where it is 3-3-3. Also, their Business class on the A330 is 2-3-2 as opposed to the common 2-2-2.

  • @jamlavaw

What's the seating plan got to do with it?

  • @Mazza4Azza I was pointing out that other airlines offer a better configuration and (from experience) better customer service. I didn't say Emirates is a bad airline, just in my opinion not the best. Bluepanther has an opinion as do I.

  • @jamlavaw

Oh. I was just wondering how the seating arrangements would decide if it is a good airline or not. I would say a good airline is one that is financially comfortable and offers good luxuries. Airliners have different airplanes. For example, British airways has many aircrafts such as the a320, a321 right to the 747. So obviously the 747 would be better.

  • @Mazza4Azza Not always though. I would favour the Boeing 777 over the 747 as 747s are old in comparison to most other aircraft in service and the 777 is just much nicer overall. More headroom, more overhead bin space, larger loos. At the end of the day it is the airline, not the manufacturer that decides on the configuration of the aircraft. Emirates may be cheaper and offer slightly more, but if you're uncomfortable for a long flight is it really worth it?

  • @jamlavaw

True, very good point made. There's the 747-800F (the 747 dreamliner) coming soon. Search it in on youtube and try and find the video showing inside of it. Yes, I do like the 777 but I've never been in it. I have heard it's the safest aircraft but I will always love the 747. I wouldn't say Emirates is cheap. For 2 adults and 2 children (the average family amount) flying economy is £3,481.04

  • @Mazza4Azza Very true. BA actually do it Manchester - Dubai (via Heathrow) for roughly £2459 economy, including taxes. And I know for a fact that BA's economy isn't too bad having flown with them to both Riyadh and Orlando.

  • @jamlavaw

Ah right. Riyadh!? I've always wanted to go to Saudi Arabia

  • @Mazza4Azza It's very nice when you get there. For be (being British) you do miss a few things, but it is relatively safe there. You do need a Visa to go in though.

  • @jamlavaw

I see. It's the same in Rome. We had a few things taken without us knowing. Is there much to do?

  • @Mazza4Azza I have to say there isn't really a lot. The cultural side of it is good and you do have a few "landmarks" but it isn't really a country that caters for tourism.

I didn't ever get anything taken from me in Riyadh - though having just come back from Rome to the UK, I wouldn't go again.

  • @jamlavaw Dude, its my own opinion. I just like the colors of Emirates.

  • Although I really don't admire the A380, I found that your camera work was superb!!

  • A380 came to BHX once yesterday there was a C-17 around landed and took off i went plane spotting yesterday, I took some photos

  • Smoth Landing

  • Great as always!

  • WOOOWWWW, RHOS CROWDS ARE HUGE!

  • Awesome video!! thanks

  • AWESOME DUDE!!!!!

  • i just adore those videos. awesome! and i love A380(:

  • 2:17, my favourite shot from you this year. It seems you had some very harsh sunlight to deal with, but you did an amazing job at keeping the exposure spot on!

  • i think the water cannon salute is extremely fitting, and although its only water, it seems magical, and as if, the airport is wishing the aircraft safe flights for years to come.

I originally did not like the A380, but in time, it has grown on me,

i will pop down to manchester when there is less people and the drink and food is back to normal prices ! :D

  • One of your best I think Simon. It was awesome to be there on such a historic day. It really is a stunning piece of engineering and a beautiful aircraft. Liked and I'm already subscribed ;) Looking forward to more :)

  • very nice video! thanks for shearing...

  • he sure left the nose in the air for a long while

  • Do you usually use a tripod?

  • I've been waiting for a video of this and its just as beautiful as I imagined.

  • Fantastic camera work. Looking forward to more A380 videos from you.

Do you plan on getting a 1080pHD camera?

  • @Gargollfaf Many thanks. No plans to upgrade the camera at the moment.

  • @1970sPlaneSpotter The quality is just as good if not as good as a 1080P so no point realy upgrading.

  • what a day this was great weather as well

  • Brilliant! Great framing & panning.

  • awesome!

  • That was very nice Simon. As ever your years of experience with panning and choice shot shines through. Probably not the best place to film her landing but you did a great job of it.

  • very nice.

  • the guy spamming the camera shots is annoying!

  • at 1:18 in the time line...the sunlight on the fuselage is just making the A/C stand out. outstanding video 5 Stars from me.

  • simply amazing

  • And then they ask us to save water.....

  • why was there a water canon salute anyway? this wasnt the first a380 at manchester...

or was this from a while back?

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon I thought it was the first one at Manchester? Well it definitely is the first one arriving for a proper commercial flight

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon This was the first A380 to land at Manchester. There was a A380 missed approach and flyby a few years ago...

  • no that landing was from a few days ago 1st september i think when it last came to manchester it just flew over dnt think it landed

  • Is this with a new camera?

  • Awesome

  • Awesome !

  • wooow what a feeling !!!

  • It's kinda weird that the A380 has 4 engines and only two inboard engines goes into reverse when landing.

  • @jasleil It saves on weight

  • @atvmaster281 Well, if you put it that way, that dose make sense becaues the plane is freakin' big.

  • @jasleil and it damages runways a lot more and its not needed

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon I don't get your comment.

  • @atvmaster281

not only that, but if you had the reversers on the outside engines then it could possibly pick up dirt, rocks, etc... because they are sitting so far off of the runway. (Heard it off of a program on discovery that talked about the a380)

  • Simon, amazing, honestly. Shame this video didn't feature the take off but oh well. Quality is top notch as always, great shot on approach! Keep the great videos coming.
