  • So pretty

  • You are amazing. ^_^ I enjoy listening to religion-related topics from your point of view, even though I'm an atheist. You have such an ideal view about them. Even though most religions are based on similar pillars, so to speak, Islam seems to be the most organized one. Although a bit too strict in my opinion, it is modest, decent, honest and yet so often ill-interpreted. It is a shame.

  • (lower I mean like put ur hair down lower and make it flatter)

  • if i wasn't already muslim i am almost 100% sure that this video would convince me to convert!!!

  • Masallah!!!!! Hijab makes women beautiful more than she is..& honestly when i see a sister with hijab I feel respect for her from my heart......!!!!!.....May Allah give toufiq to wear hijab & practice islam to all womens......ameen..

  • I find your videos so interesting. I am Christian, but I still really enjoy learning about other religions!

  • maasha allah

  • I like the consept at the end about hasidim tzadiq / pious people I dont know the Islamic term. To pray at a Tzadiqs grave is a powerful thing in Judaism.

  • Mash'Allah, I'm very impressed.

    I'm a convert, 3 years now.

I love to see these sort of muslimah's proud of their religion, and strong in their deen.

    May Allah(SWT) bless you.

    @makeupisgreat1

2)Jihad is really struggle, the struggle to do good, is the concept behind Jihad

    1) You shouldn't really associate with a type of Islam, because in the Qur'an it says, you are one people(Ummat), so it's not good to focus on sects and that sort of thing.

I was raised as catholic in portugal btw.

  • Hello, I am a Roman Catholic teenager who is very very interested in all types of religions and I have a lot of respect for these videos that you have created and think what you are doing is wonderful for your community, but also for the global world as well. My questions are :1) what type of Islam do you practice? I know there are many schools and branches. 2) how do you practice jihad in your life? there is the greater and lesser jihad. I know the quran does not use this word to mean fear.

  • omg thank you soooo much!!! im trying to do a project for school and you saved me from failing sooo badly on it. Ummm i still dont get the last pillar but im gona try and figure it out. by the way i hope this dsnt affend u but your pretty!!!! <3 thnx again

  • May Allah bless you sister.

    Saif

  • Is too bad that there are so many missconceptions about Islam. Is so beautifull and complete and perfect. I thank Allah that opened my eyes to see the truth and so I can say now that I am proud to be a Muslim

  • thumbs up

  • In Judaism we have quite a few fasting days as well, but nothing as difficult as (I would imagine) Ramadhan. What I would like to know is, must everyone completely fast? Even those with health issues where food is actually a part of their daily medical treatment, such as hypothyroidism, diabetes, or epilepsy? I ask because I've actually had to ask this same question in regard to Judaism; and it is fresh on my mind. That said, thank you for sharing this video with us; I enjoyed learning!

  • @ElianaTali Hello. That is a great question! In Islam, everyone must fast after a certain age. However, if there are serious health conditions (diabetes, epilepsy, etc), one must ask their doctors who are preferably muslim. In most cases, the sick and elderly do not fast, but they can try. I hope this helps :)

  • @ElianaTali surah 2 verse 286 : Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability.... In islam is clear who fatsts and not, for the ill people, for the old man, children, pregnant women and they with their periods, they who travel ect ect.everything is axplained, not only fasting but every action is conected with the abilitys of a man, hope i answerd your question

  • when u talk about islam u seem so happy and ur smile brightens up :)

  • Hi Sister Amena! I love this video, and it's so great to see you smiling the whole time you describe the religion you clearly adore.

Whilst I am not Muslim, I spend a lot of time with the Sisters in my home town and love the feeling of acceptance that I have around them and who knows what will happen in the future!

    A-K

  • You are so beautiful and you truly have a gift, Amena. Have you ever thought about public speaking? I know you would bring insight and inspiration to girls everywhere. I enjoy watching and listening to you. I am a 21 year old girl and I have decided to convert after learning and surrounding myself with Islam. I enjoy watching you and it helps me understand better, and to better describe Islam to my family and my decision when they didn't understand, and you truly helped me. =} <3.

  • Salam sister! Can you please make a video that teaches more about the five daily prayers? Such as how many rukkaat you need to do for each prayer? That would be really helpful, as it is confusing to me and I am sure would be beneficial to other people learning how to prayer. Thank you very much!

  • Allhumdullilah :)

  • I have a question. I noticed that you are not wearing a wedding bad or an engagement ring. Is this for any religious purpose or just by choice? I know Muslim man are not allowed to wear jewelry (especially gold). It would be nice to share some "peculiar"(to non muslims) traditions that you can think of, in a video :}

    Thanks!

  • Do you Work somewhere??Just curious i hope u not offendid by this question??

i mean do you work or not??

  • Thank you Amenakin for this. Jazakullah. I grew up believing Islam is the one true religion but I never became a practicing muslim, until this summer on my break home from University. I started reading the Qur'an, studing and learning to pray. Insha'Allah I will take my shahadah very soon! While I was away at school, one of the largest masjids in the US was built in my neighborhood, so when I came home, I went to masjid for the very first time. I've never felt more at home. Alhumdullillah!

  • I wanna see your baby!

  • Alhumdulilah I am muslim, so beautiful and simple, and peaceful...shout our to all my sisters at Masjid Al-Haqq...forgive me sister Amena..had to give a ghetto shout out...lol , may Allah be pleased with you and grant you Jannah

  • @cocokisses787 lol no problemo, hope you get a 'shoutout' back!

  • love that you explained the five pillars of islam. i am trying to learn as much as i can about being muslim because i plan to convert. your video was very helpful and educational.

  • @1ahmina alhamdullilah sister... glad it was helpful! Let me know i'A when you do your shahaadah! :o)

  • @Amenakin i will

  • @moelei020307 yeh, I was like that when I edited it... Alhamdullilah!

  • Consider this: Since English has no non-gendered pronoun, when we're speaking it, why not alternate between "Him" & "Her?" Arabic "Allah" is not gendered and the nature of Allah(swt) is beyond us to comprehend; so why do we refer to Allah(swt) as Him ONLY? I'd like to know what you think!

  • Well I believe it's because the English language has conventions that render the default word for gender-less things as 'he'. When we refer to God as "He", it doesn't imply the same connotations as it does for a person (i.e. masculinity). He is beyond association with any gender or anything with which we could ever dream of associating with Him, so saying "He" doesn't mean the same as calling a person "he".

  • What a beautiful video sister!

  • @The1sista alhamdullilah!

  • salam amena..please make a tutorial of this hijab.I am loving it.so wanna do one myself

  • @wedad178 i'A I will do... wa 'alaikum as-salaam

  • Salaams sis, thank u for making this video. I found it v. helpful to serve as a reminder as well. I think the bringing prayer mat out at prayer times n just sitting there to get used to it is a great idea, as I'm still trying to get used to it! Will def. try that out sis, thank u so much! May Allah(swt) bless you <3 p.s- i love ur hijab style & polka dot dress!

  • @plastixx wa 'alaikum as-salaam! Alhamdullilah, glad it was helpful! :o)

  • @wonderamal01 thanks!

  • Thank you for this video, it is very informative. I know you do vids on makeup and on hijaabi, all of which I love. I'm mostly partial to the hijab tutorials. Would you consider periodically doing more tuts like this one about the Faith of Islam? I realize it's in small chunks, but you explain things wonderfully. Would you be able to do this for us? Thank you sister.

  • @Merrida100 You're welcome... it is a big relief for me that these types of videos are useful for people. I usually shy away from them because my knowledge of a lot of things is so limited, but I do try to address what I do know. If you have any requests about topics for these types of videos, do let me know and i'll try to see if I can talk about it or answer Q's that will benefit you guys :o) Thanks for your suggestion!

  • heyy i tried to find the long sleeves i want to buy on your site but couldnt find it.. please let me know where it is ..jazakallah :)

  • @chweety16 just hover the mouse over 'products' and click on 'Other'! They should be there if you scroll down the page!

  • Asalamualaikum sister,

I wud like to share some info regarding the child tax benefit or the baby bonus that we get (in most developed countries) was actually started by hazrat Umar R.A . He decided to give baby bonus to parents once the child has stopped drinking milk that is by age two, so mothers use to wean their children earlier to get the bonus, Hazrat Umar was very deeply hurt when he came to know abt that . So he started the bonus as soon as the child was born.

  • @kausaj1 wa 'alaikum as-salaam... wow, thank you for that!

  • great advice sis

  • @03soflyy thanks sis!

  • This is such a great video! May Allah(SWT) Bless you! You now I remember my mom telling me that she read in the Qur'an I think that Allah(SWT) said that if whenever u speak of me in a gropu of ppl, He will always mention your name in a bigger group. Just thinking of that happening for u gives me chills:)(in a good way). Anyways u r so sweet, thank u!

  • @whatevalosa111 wow, s'A, I didn't even remember that saying! j'A so much for the reminder - gave me chills as well :o)

  • Who was the surprise guest T_T MEH

  • @ValleyGurlFrmHell haha a moth! But it wasn't just any moth, it was mahoosive... like a fluttering rat!

  • salam sister. ur the best. mashallah really nice video. May ALLAH bless you ameen!!!

  • thank you so much this was so helpful/insighful/intriguing

i think im gonna try and fast soon i could use a physical/spiritual cleanse

    thanks again

  • @prettyproblem16 you're welcome... I have been told it's beneficial to fast on Mondays and/or Thursdays, because the two angels take our deeds to God on those days so it's best to spend those days in the best state :o) Hope you find it beneficial i'A and keep me in your dua's when you do!

  • Amena, that was so lovely! I hope you don't mind if I post it on my Facebook so my family can watch it.

  • @RockNRollRevert not at all - go ahead :o)

  • @purplesuperpandas You're welcome! Nope, I haven't yet been fortunate enough to go on Hajj. In answering your second question, it was the approximate amount that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave (although in those times it included things like cattle etc that were a part of your "wealth"), so we do this also. Other than that, with the calculations that might have been used to explain the "why?" behind 2.5%, I don't know - sorry

  • Jazak'allah hun that was a really nice video x

  • @bogzy420 thanks!

  • MasAllah sister, really nice talk. May I recommend for you to watch dr zakir naik his speeches are so enlightening about Islam. You will gain much more knowledge which you already have. MashAllah.

  • @RuneeK93 Thanks sister :o)

  • I always tell new Muslims to take everything slowly! They don't want to be too overwhelmed at first.

  • @WeooBeans Definitely... being too zealous can become overwhelming and can eventually lead to one becoming spiritually 'burnt out'.

    Thanks

  • Great video! Fasting may be healthy for some, but for some asians ( my family as an example) the health problems start to worsen with all the iftaari fried food!

  • @Emulsifier123 hahaha so true. But ya gotta love the samosa's ;o) in moderation, of course lol

  • Jazak ALLAH khair sister for your great work and efforts.

please make correction about fasting at minute 13:03

fasting from FAJR , NOT FROM SUN RISE.

    just to remind you sister.

  • @itsa12345 Thank you sister - yes, I've made that correction in the video. Sorry for upsetting you

  • @Amenakin I`m very sorry i didn`t notice that , you are doing a great job ,masha ALLAH.

    may ALLAH bless you sister,

    your brother.

  • @itsa12345 no problemo :o)

  • Esselamu alejkum dear sister !

I really enjoy listening you especially when you talk about the beauty of islam as you did in this video. You have delightful voice so I could listen you again and again :)

Your videos helped me to improve myself as a muslim and thank you so much ;)

May Allah bless you and your family !

  • @TheLillithblack Wa 'alaikum as-salaam, dear sister... j'A for your du'a & for your comment, really appreciate it :o)

  • Meeraj rabbani the orthodox urdu scholar begs to differ from what you said, he says the quran has Qul ya ayu hal kafiruna and so we should call a kafir, a "kafir" whoever said one cant be a kafir till his last breath ? bad hate speech na ?

    peace

  • @ahmeds027 I was talking about calling a person who calls THEMSELVES a Muslim a non-muslim... that isn't acceptable.

  • @Amenakin i know, i said that in support of ur point mam n not in sarcasm, offcourse i wouldnt personally call anyone kafir, for i think its plain rude and as Allah says in the Quran : Allah permits muslims to be nice to those who dont drive you out of ur homes and most kafir dont do drive us out certain Israelis being an exception :-(

    peace

  • Jazakhala for sharing this information. May allah reward you with paradise.

  • @Ajadorable18584 Thank you!! I really appreciate your du'a :o)

  • Great video! Fasting may be healthy for some, but for some asians ( my family as an example) the health problems start to worsen with all the iftaari fried food!

  • just started watchin but now i have to go take a bath! i'll watch this later

  • that was so so very nice, mashaAllah!!

  • This is so informative, especially for those who may not know much about Islam. I've also had people ask if we fast the whole month lol and ramadhaan is coming sooon, I love the atmosphere during Ramadhaan, everything seems so cosy! :)

  • @dipa786 Yes - soo cosy!! Love it.. there's just an amazing serenity in the air during Ramadhaan...

  • Nice video sister. Thank you for helping some converts to our beautiful deen understand a bit more a bout islam

  • @lilmizspice97 i'A it is helpful to at least some people out there

  • this is a good reminder for us, thank you.

Also, not to be confusing, fasting is from before dawn to sunset. Sunrise is too late.

  • @EvelynGB thank you for the correction! I should have said "dawn to dusk

  • Mash'allah...you're great.

  • beautiful
