frankly, I don't like your networking, I have a few sincere suggestions for you, I understand the budget and all, but: 1) try using a wi-fi router 2) it would be nice if you had the NAS drobo, so it would be just accessible anywhere on the network, and would be accessible to the PC or Mac when either is switched off 3) I would've gone with a micro-ATX and a SFF case ala Silverstone SG03 for the PC, personally --cheers

i dont see any reason for you put an asus supercomputer motherboard if you dont going to use any nvidia tesla chip becouse that motherboard is designed for use that chip.

and the GPU if you only going to edit and rendering you can be put a nvidia quadro or ati firepro and that going to be more faster than that old gtx 9800+ or you can use a new generation if you like the pc games.
