My Zune Cracked. Battery Expansion.

My screen didn't crack, but I had lost my zune for like 3 years. I finally found it, redownloaded the software, and when I plugged it in to charge it, the entire zune just popped open! Something definitely expanded the casing to make it pop open and now it won't go back on. The battery makes sense...

This just happened to my Zune. If I replace it, it will be the fourth time I've done so in the past year. Zune is shit.

i got a 80gb zune i have a problem similar to ur but i only get a black screen with the battery charge screen..

yep, same thing happend to my 30gb, so went and bought a 80gb had it a year and compleatly crashed, and needs a new hard drive.. any help from microsoft for eithe of these probs?? not on yr nelly, should have bought an ipod on the first place :(

If you buy a new battery for the zune and replace it with the one inside it will fix it. It only costs 43 $. Thats what I did

they probably cant do anything because its so old, maybe if the problem would have rose up when it was still fairly new they would have done something, but 2 years...probably not. they could just blame you for it, saying you shook it or something. lol sry though bro. that sucks. if i was you i'd wait like a year or so until you buy a new zune. hopefully by then they'll have touchscreens out!!! :)

my zune is EXACTLY like your and the same EXACT thing happened. and microsoft does the same thing to. it's not really our fault that they sold us a defective battery. i always thought microsoft was a good company... i guess not...
