Hey Carrie/Kira, I'll definitely be using these to ensure proper form. I do tend to swing my arms across my body the more I run. I did have one question though, I was curious whether you had any opinion on using Vibrams to ensure that that you run heel-to-toe instead of a heel strike.
(Btw, this is Steve from Saturday morning workouts with Terri)
@hailtodavictors2007 I've always thought the Vibrams were a genius idea, personally. I am not a professional on them by any stretch of the imagination, but what I do know is that several well known functional trainers will say that (if this were possible) running barefoot would be the best way to ensure great natural form and alignment.
@ComfyFitness, good to know that there are actually some well known trainers who are behind the idea. I've had a pair for about 2 months and have been slowly working them into running but was curious to hear your professional opinion. Love the videos & I'll def pass them on to friends in need of fitness advice.
I believe I've even heard one say that training and running shoes are the worst thing to have happened to functional running training. When I saw these come out on the market, I thought they might be a great solution. The only thing I worry about is the impact on the joints and the possibility that there may not be enough cushion. In order to give you a real answer though, I believe I would have to try them out myself. So if anyone wants to buy me a pair...
