  • Good job Robbada!

  • The Amhara music needs desperately to get back to its roots or else will wash a way and will be distinguished.

  • ciao robel hawei bravo:)

  • bela derfi

  • it is really nice music I love it keep in touch robelina

  • I <3 Adore Like Everything dis Song..Its Amazing Incredible Love Robel..:))

  • What I find amazing is now modern Amharic music has lost its beats and sounds to reggae and other western style genres but from what I see now all Eritrean music has basically adopted modern Amharic style, beats and use it more than the modern Amharic singers. One thing is for sure It had made Tigrigna music more interesting.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!this song was so adorable!:)

  • I don’t speak Tigray but I like the beat and the song too.

  • Am in love with this song, i don't understand a word but i can't get enough.

    Love from Rwanda. >3

  • Erirean music came a long way and it is obvious that it is very popular and making history in its richness and culturally respect around the world thanks to the old and young singers like Robel. It is sad to see that good Amharic music is changing its sound to western culture like reggae other kind of music.

  • erinumber1

i usually dont like to read or comment on u tube , but i like to to comment not on this nice music but i like to give an answer for you (erinumber1) ONLY if you are wedi eritrea. who told you this song if ethiopian song? what is ethiopian song? is there really called ethiopian song? if yes what tribe ? dont be stupid ,if u dont know you dont have to comment u can just enjoy the music, F Y I this kind of beat was first introduce by tekle tesfazgi a kind of copy of sudan beat

  • agamenumber1, cut the crap you dirty agame, everyone knows you are from bone dry Tigray. Ethiopian music is dead. No one listens to Ethiopian music. Look at youtube Eritrean videos, just about every video has tens of thousands of views while no one cares to watch your jamaican wannabe music. Listro boy, get a life.

  • so funny. just cuz i disagree with the song doesn't mean i am Ethiopian. I think what u need is the book titled "youtube for dummies". pick that book up and read some stuff about most viewed music videos of Africa or just search on u tube and u will see Ethiopian musics are the ones with some over a million viewers. i understand ur anger and motivation to defend Eri's music, but the fact of the matter is Ethiopian music is much more advanced than not only ours but, everyone in good dear Africa.

  • Erinumber1, But it is not like the way you explained. There is not any similarits between our songs and Ethiopian songs unless you want make similar or same. And you say you were in Asmara beofre 2 yrs in asmara and almost every wehre played amharic song. That's absolutely false. May be in your home or neighbours, but not in shops or any bussiness place. We have our songs that we always listen and feel pround about them.

  • @IsaiasAfewerki IsaiasAfeworki...lol...What a model...lmao.

  • @IsaiasAfewerki the arab puppet, we Ethiopians do eat food with out the white man, we did it for more than 5,000 years and we still do it today. Ethiopia is gifted by nature, Ethiopia can feed all of Africa unlike your barren desert called "eritrea". Your god isayas afework used to steal coffee from Ethiopia only to export it in a package that read "product of eritrea". By the way it is the italian catholic church who feeds your mere 2 million people cat food donated from many European countries

  • @Shebele aRE YOU KIDDING? "wE STILL DO TODAY"! eTHIIOPIA IS THE LARGEST RECIPIENT OF fOOD aID!

  • @Shebele dumb ass people like are the problem on both side ok so shut ur mouth

  • @Shebele

  • @Shebele U know what who ever is reading ur comments is laughing at u. Specially when u said that the Ethi's are capable of feedng themselves without the suport of outsiders. Kkkkkkkkkkkk moyta bsahak.

  • @Shebele Ur indication is u dont know nothing about ur country Ethi,s. The U.N childern agency said in statment a couple of month ago an estimated 126,000 Ethio's childern urgently need food and medical care.

Plus 2.7 million Ethi will need emergency food aid. Ethio,s 80 Mill, ppl receive aid each year coz they never have enough food , where there harvests good or not. Next time think before saying something.

  • @IsaiasAfewerki : STOP BEING LESS MINDED WITH YOUR STUPID POLITICS DISEASE.... IM ETHIOPIAN BUT MY COUSINS ARE ERITREAN THERES NO DIFFERENCE BTWN ETHIOPIA AND ERITREA WE ALL EAT SAME FOOD SPEAK TIGRIGNA AND SHIIIT FYI WE DONT EAT FOOD WITH WHITE PEOPLE.. SMH YOU SOUND SO IGRONANT

  • faggit Ethio I've seen many comments of you the last 2 weeks and they were all negative toward eritreans so don't pretend to be eri punk ass bitch

  • Why do people limit themselves with dirty political views. Music influence is every where. So what if this guy sings in Amharic bit? Amharic is competent interms of artistic and literature endeavours. I have listened to some Amharic music from Sudanese origin and Tigrigna origins. I think Music doesn't have boundaries even if you want to creat one. Am not saying this music is Amharic beat. But SO WHAT IF IT WAS? Get a life people.

  • very nice song. great voice. well done.

  • This is my work out ( aerobics) song . So much fun :)

Hey guys pls think positive, we all r one blood one family one ppl, that is the truth we cant deny the reality. Lets stop cursing each other and love and have respect to each other, at least we r humans we all deserve to be respected. I guess.

  • nice song and nice lyrics as well... keep it up ,Robel! real asmarino song.!

  • You the ethiopians and the agames are the most stupid people on this planet. Now you lost hope on the ownership of the Red Sea, you are coming up with trying to own our music too? What the hell is your poroblem? Let it go. Cut the damn cord. Do not associate any thing Eritrean with your smelly asses.

We are unique people and you are....well, just ethiopians, if you know what I mean?

  • everything u are, everything u eat, everything u wear, and every trait u have ...where did it come from?

England - English, Italy Italian, Spain Spanish, Tigray Tigrigna, Eritrea ... ???? empty!! this beat is Gonder! your name Eritrea means red sea named by ur buudies that back stabbed u (Italians)..even ur tongue is a mixture if Italian NOT Tigrigna! stay in school yene konjo!

  • Hey ass hole your analogy does not work.

Bahama English, Capeverde Portugese, kenya Swahili, Mali French etc. What the hell do you have to cherry pick to make ur falacies? Besides who the fuck told you that Tigrigna is the only language Eritrea has? We try hard to get the fuck far out of your faces you try your freaking hard to make us look like you. Our Tigrigna evolved form our Tigre tribe tigrigna not from your dirty agamingna. Get you facts straight.

  • keeps00000 & hbobula, both of ur comments are trash..........

  • To Hbobula,

The English colonized the Bahamas, the Portuguese colonized Capeverde, the French colonized Mali, and the Bantus from south envaded all the way to Kenya. The analogy makes you a dick head! All your words are like a come spat through a big hole mouth.

  • Keeps0000

try to be smart but yr very stuiped & dammmy PIn head !

  • Could anyone tell that which Amhara's traditional beat looks like this? I know majority of modern Amharic artists use this beat & they call it "Chick'chika". Using it doesn't mean it belongs to them. If Robel is using Gonder, Gojam & Wollo beats, I would have shared ur views & say "this sounds Amharic". I never saw any beat of these amhara people, this is an "international beat but most commonly used by amharic artists"...Correction!!!

  • Good job robel..i like your work..keep it up!

isaiasaferweki..you are bull shit..know how to respect... stop being the reall Isayas.

  • I keep coming back to this tune time and time again. There is some very promising new artists coming from our home land. I think There is originality to this tune, regardless of what some might be plastering on this page.

    Keep it up Robel.

Thanx Asmarino5, for all your efforts in bringing Eritrea to our homes!

  • It sounds like amharic song, but still is one of the best love songs from our yougsters.I like Robbi, keep it up

  • listen Robel! u r very uniq nd very good singer! i like ur voice! u r a star! keep going bruve! welldone nd wish u all the success in ur future!

  • @ last, I'm not in agreement with those of u who are commenting "Konjo" is not Tigrigna, except that Amharic uses it more frequently than Tigrigna for this is the only word 4 them 2 express 'beauty', unlike my rich Tigrigna (Go to "hagere seb's" of Tigray & Eritrea to realize this...every kilometer gives an alternative 'expression')--> Eshi, Dinki, Heray, Shane, Chele, Yekon, Yikun, Girim, Tsibuk, Koyis, Bella (though some of the words in this list are borrowed)--> Tsibiqti, Wuqibti, Konjo

  • No one has commented against "Elisa Kidane" when she sang "Shebab" in her "Tezezta" Album-->Could anyone argue 'this is more nearer 2 Tigrigna than "Konjitey"'

And about the beat, who commented against, for instance, the romantic Music of my fav-artist late Abraham Afewerki entitled "Kihiliwelkiýe". On the contrary, we felt in love with it and will all of us stay in love with->Could any one argue "That beat is closer 2 'Guayla'"-> Ur mouth shouldn't only be opened when it comes 2 Amharic.

  • Begolooo aka Tigray boy from Mekele - Shebab means Youth. Eritrea has three ethnic groups who speak Arabic as a first language and most Eritreans have some understanding of Arabic.

  • You're the first Tigray person to comment without bringing hate to a video, or get political, so i'll let you slide. Stop trying to link Eritrean artist with Tigray. You have your own country, link it with Amhara or Oromos.

  • But u'r trying 2 show me ur hatred...! I'll not angrily answer back 2 this comment...!

That's what I'm saying. Surely, Shebab is less commonly used in Tigrigna compared to "Konjo"... So there is nothing wrong with the talented work of Robel in using the word "Konjo"--> If using shebab is ok, "Konjo" is more than ok (Borrowing from 'Amharic' is not so different from borrowing from Arab)--> as long as these two are not Tigrigna!

  • U'r telling me that "My" Tigrigna shares common features with Amhara/Oromo than with "Your" Tigrigna-->When I tried 2 use my mind, I found it that "Tigrigna is Tigrigna". I can assure u this, I'll not stop listening Tigrigna song as long as it attracts my ear (without giving care 2 its origin). I know Eritrean fellows who listen 2 Tigrigna song from Tigray if it's beautiful (the same is true with my people) but if u c things from the bad political side, yes! u'r right...!

  • Yawn. I don't care who listens to what or who listens to whom. I'm telling you stop being a weasel and trying to link Eritreans with your Tigray. There's this big infatuation with Tigray people in trying to link themselves with Eritreans - We are not the same and never have been. Link yourselves with people of your country is all i'm telling you.

  • Ok! I should stop my discussion with u, But I'll not stop Loving "Tigrigna".

"Fellituýa Zidekese's Enteneqneqkayo Aisemién"--> Ur heart is full of hate and grudges.... If u hate me, my people & my comment, don't reply and let's leave our discussion aside here--> But I love my Eritrean bro/sis as we all usually do... U can't represent Eritrea...

  • I think u've big personal problem with one/two "Tegaru" because of ur bad-temper and arrogance. Don't try to generalize everything & Don't tell me Eritreans are "Stupid" like u, Cos I know this is totally false. Try 2 use ur mind, there is no any problem my tigray people in trying to link themselves with their eri bro/sis, I wonder if they don't! Wake up, if u c some eri & tegaru engaged in bad conversation on youtube (like what u trying 2 do with me), it's non-sense and emotionality......

  • First and foremost, no it's not. Eritreans are not just Tigrinya speakers. Many Tigrinya people speak both Arabic, Tigre or even another Eritrean language. Shebab is a common word through and through in Eritrea. Even Eritrea's political fronts were named in Arabic - Shaebia. To top it off, Konjitey is an Eritrean Tigrinya word - Just because Amharas use Konjo more than anyone does not delete it's origins.

  • U'r commiting fallacy of "Missing the Point"

  • Guayla Rythm is no where else & unique, I love it more than any beat. Trying 2 modernize our language, many artists (including the renowned ones, Abraham Afewerki, Abraham Gebremedhin, Sami Berhane, Yemane Baria, Mahlet Gebregergis...) use other beats 4 variety, Regea, Sudan, Slow etc. Have those of u who are negatively commenting realized that u only say "This beat is not Tigrigna" when our artists use the any beat which is widely used by Amharic artists (which is not Amharic in real sense)?

  • Yes! Tigrigna is rich & has plenty of options 2 say "Konjit". But, as 2 the use of this word in this song is concerned, I find ok. If its origin is non-Tigrigna, "konjo" is more formally used than "Bella" 2 express "Beauty". If we use a word in our daily language, what's wrong with using it in a song? For eg: Do u feel the 'gna' in "Tigrigna" & "Chaw" are originally Tigrigna? (let alone "Bella").

Robel, as a starter u did it very smartly, Keep it up! Never be satisfied with ur nice single!

  • WOW i Love it Bella Derfi, Bella GiTmi & NifuE Derafay. QonJitey Gin Tigrigna Aykonen Kalie Qal Dileyela. ShiKorina Zeybelkaya :D. Jemari Kem Mukanka Meten Ajoka BerTiE. Asmarino thx for Posting.Keep it up bro.

  • pleeace mr risiakat stop calling ethiopian beat these beat belong to sudance somalies ethiopanes and eritreans beat, you called it ethiopan beatof the temp or time beat ,the temp it depend of the people temper, secandmusik is universal .cheers ms tiakat

  • i did not understand a word he said, but the melody was great!!!

  • WOW, nice beat, great video, great musical endeavor & entertainment. Another, NEW Eritrean star is born, keep glowing & shinning.

PS: Those wicked hearts who could NOT enjoy music, appreciate talent nor stand the joy of others, need NOT to comment on Eritrean videos, for no one is seeking your approval seal nor your blessing.

DARE TO STOP THE JOY & CREATIVITY OF ERITREANS!!!

  • What the hell is konjitei? It is amharic for god sake. Can't he use our own words, like Tsibikti, bella, hilwa? Any word but a freaking adghi language. We the Eritreans need to cut the cord from those low lives for good. We are rich in own languages and cultures. The song is not bad though.

  • I beg to differ. Konjo is a Tigrinya word and widely used in Eritrea. Konjit is also used in alternative to Tsibikit.

  • Eritrea 4 ever ..ihave eritrea blood ... i love eritrea :)))

  • Nice music by young blood! Keep up the good work!

  • Arab or African?

  • Eritrean!!!

  • dont understand one word of it but its sweet music..

  • ghebrewoldi im really glad u said that for how long have we heard guayla since we get birth plus making neww beats didn't just started so please stop hating.

  • hi u r right i like ur comment.we need some thing change

  • why u hating in the beat u want to listen the 60 & 70 music there are plenty of them listen to them. those music were for ur generation. we're in a new generation where things aren't the same since back then. as long as the world is moving we're also moving because we're part of it. u should encourage the new talented eritrean singer. not discourage them by comparign them to the 60. keep it up robel ur all doin very well.!!!!!!! thank u asmarino5

  • the text is good but the beat and melody is not good. they just stay on their on beats and don't copy them from other countries..

  • I LOVE IT, OHHHHHHHH

    this is good man.....

  • Very interesting song. Keep it up robel.

  • Wooow!!! Really nice song...keep up

  • Although Eritrean beats, especially Tigre ones, are consistently taken by Ethiopian artist and reconstructed to fit their music needs; one thing I dislike is when Eritrean artist return the lopsided favor. I personally think the beat is terrible and the singer should concentrate on originality instead of mimicking others.

Nonetheless, thanks for your time and hard work Asmarino - We really can't thank you enough haway; you are the King of entertainment.

  • I'm totally with you on that... not enough Eritrean artists are trying to be original, instead choosing the 'easy' option of putting their lyrics to Ethiopian beats.

What happened to the creativity displayed in the 60s and 70s? We definitely need that back!

  • Well, what can I say! I believe this my 5th time that I'm complaining about the new Eritrean artists mimicking Ethiopian beats. One problem though is that these new artists think that this kind of beat is Eritrean. There is no originality. The only thing we can do is to discourage them by not listining to their music. Otherwise the ingenuity of Eritreans is being erroded by singers composers and musicians who are highly influenced by Amhara music.

  • Anta, its time to move on. What is the point of living and making music if we stay in the past?

Get over it RiesiAkat, if all ur guna do is complain dont watch the music video! simple as that

  • I think we need to keep things in perspective, the ones who do the mimicking are a very small minority and not a large problem. Much of these new artist who do go that route have poor sales and are hardly known. The thing that's bothersome is when some people start to confuse mimicking others with innovation. Re-inventing the wheel should not be rewarded, especially if that wheel is a spare tire not of our own making.
