Another 7800 game that was my favorite also had an instant replay. It was One on One Basketball with Dr. J & Larry Bird! I wonder if anyone has a video of that one?

There was the Pong consoles in 1975 (at first only through Sears). Then came the VCS, which was only called the 2600 since 1982 when the 5200 Super System was released.

Atari released the 400/800 series computers in late 1979, which around the same time the 5200 had came out, were replaced by the 600/800XL.

Atari 7800, say it properly. The 7800 was trash. Christ that system was horrible.

Actually I HATE Atari more than anything. Mostly due to the damage they caused to the industry.

Also Commodore was a computer maker with 2 consoles. One was basically a C64 without the computer and the other was the Amiga CD-32, just a console version of Amiga.

The Commodore 64 WAS A COMPUTER.

Um no. That be a 7800. The difference? Smaller, less buttons, but better controllers, better graphics... and some decent games. Food Fight being one of the better ones that I don't think has appeared on any other system.

It is a 7800, I'm sure because Atari's best 7800 slogan to differenciate from the NES was "Prosystem" or the system that "The Pros Play". What they meant by that I have no idea, game tournaments were few even within arcades back then. I still have my pro system in storage.

Oh God, I loved this game. I remember the first time I saw it at an arcade, the colorful artwork on the cabinet pulled me over immediately. The gameplay kept me hooked. Classic game. Thanks for the memories!

Sometimes I do wish I had one of the older consoles, like the Atari, since some of the games do seem simple, but fun. Food fight looks like one of those games, although probably would become tedious after 50 levels of play. Still, 50 levels of play before getting bored! ^w^ Nice review, and I wouldn't mind seeing you do some more in future - there's a cute innocence about you that made it more fun than usual. Don't forget the ice cream! ;)
