My acapella choir did this three years ago and i loved every min of it. Our group also left out the clapping. I like it better without. It seems one more thing to correctly time. This group did an excellent job!!
I think that this such a beautiful rendition of this song. I love the arrangement. This makes me miss teaching chorus!!! Great job to the students and the teacher!!!!!
When our select choir did this song, we didn't bother with the claps, and we liked it better that way. We didn't have to worry about clapping together or rushing or anything. I sang soprano 2, and when we listened to a playback recording of us, other people were like "wow, you can hear the 2s..."
DAD said your personal sins were forgiven. MOM said your original sin was deleted. My heart would stop for too excessively rejoicing! The 3 Wise Men came to adore Jesus Baby from the East. No one came to participate in his crucifixion & funeral. They knew his passions were the condemnation of the evildoers. Let Their wisdom encourage all of us to go with DAD & MOM. We can rejoice whenever Jesus is alive. I've never felt he died for me, but for the wicked ones. LOVE DAD & MOM with all our Heart.
I miss high school choir... Back when it was good... Ours is reeeeaaaally bad now. It's embarrassing. It's been threes years since high school though lol
I absolutely love this arrangement I sang it my junior and senior year in choir. It's so sexy, Random feeling I know, but it is. I need to go back to my high school and steal this music
The composer, Darmon Meader, actually wrote the clapping in the music, so I guess you would have to take your dislike up with him. It is very difficult because of the hemiola Darmon uses in the piece. I thought the group did a nice job, and the fact that they had worked on looking the same when they clapped was very effective.
DAMMIT THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!! we are singing this song for our christmas comcert and i'm a soprano 1. I love how you guys pronounced it and sung so smoothly. GOOD JOB!!
0:23. oh my goodness. he's the cutest thing ever <3 (the one on the left) haha

Nope. Our HS does it way better. These singers get the notes, but they have no power in their singing.

I sang close to the same version at Thurman White middle School from Henderson NV . Directed by Randy K Pagel.

The director would not have included the clapping if she felt it was bad. She has taken out written in clapping in songs before.
Also, comments of "my choir is better" are very childish. Prove to us you're better, then you can speak without having your comment flagged as spam.
