  • Nope. Our HS does it way better. These singers get the notes, but they have no power in their singing.

  • Beautiful and flawless...

  • I sang close to the same version at Thurman White middle School from Henderson NV . Directed by Randy K Pagel.

This song would be alot better without the clapping but still nice!!

  • anyone have the sheet music for this one?

  • @luvedbratja13 check Carl Fischer publishes it

  • I love this version. and the like african chanting haha

  • excellent job!! especially the clapping, it gets a lot more difficult with it. Does need more bass though.

  • You can find this on JWPepper. It's arranged by Darmon Meader who arranges a lot of my favorite choir songs :)

  • My acapella choir did this three years ago and i loved every min of it. Our group also left out the clapping. I like it better without. It seems one more thing to correctly time. This group did an excellent job!!

  • sheet music please? thanks :D

  • Love this :) Not found of the claps though

  • I think that this such a beautiful rendition of this song. I love the arrangement. This makes me miss teaching chorus!!! Great job to the students and the teacher!!!!!

  • Needs more bass.

    Other than that, great.

  • When our select choir did this song, we didn't bother with the claps, and we liked it better that way. We didn't have to worry about clapping together or rushing or anything. I sang soprano 2, and when we listened to a playback recording of us, other people were like "wow, you can hear the 2s..."

  • my select choir did this song last year!! haven't been able to sing this song normally ever since =]

  • @ImAChoirNerd2 same here

  • Love it!!!! My choir was a failure at this we lacked a bass section.

  • Not crazy about this arrangement- don't like the hand claps at all. But the choir is wonderful!!!! Excellent, excellent work!!

  • this is great!!!!!!

  • I miss high school choir... Back when it was good... Ours is reeeeaaaally bad now. It's embarrassing. It's been threes years since high school though lol

  • Ahhh i have been searching for this version for 3 years !!! Did this in highschool and was my FAV Christmas Song (version) So excited! great Choir!

  • i love this version. our high school chamber sings this yearly. without the clapping though. you guys do a great job

  • i can't wait for north shore to sing the hell out of this song. it's fantastical

  • I absolutely love this arrangement I sang it my junior and senior year in choir. It's so sexy, Random feeling I know, but it is. I need to go back to my high school and steal this music

  • ms Matthews is awesome

  • woww great ...

  • The director would not have included the clapping if she felt it was bad. She has taken out written in clapping in songs before.

Also, comments of "my choir is better" are very childish. Prove to us you're better, then you can speak without having your comment flagged as spam.

  • I'm a Baritone in my choir and its nice hearing both Bass and Tenor parts of this song. Very good quality.

  • great harmonies guys!

  • please post your choir. then we can compare.

  • so what if i think that. since i am apart of it obviously i would think its better. the clapping was corny

  • the clapping was written in the sheet music by the composer. we're still waiting for your video..

  • still waiting ....

  • really great harmonies!!!!

  • this is a really cool arrangement..

  • i really enjoyed everything but the poor executed clapping which seemed to serve no purpose. but the clap aside, great job.

  • The composer, Darmon Meader, actually wrote the clapping in the music, so I guess you would have to take your dislike up with him. It is very difficult because of the hemiola Darmon uses in the piece. I thought the group did a nice job, and the fact that they had worked on looking the same when they clapped was very effective.

  • haha alexis the mads are better than my colleges honors choir

  • i love you dynamics and how you sing at difference paces. Very complicated but if done right can really be amazing.

  • this was like one of my fav. songs we sang in MADS

  • DAMMIT THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!! we are singing this song for our christmas comcert and i'm a soprano 1. I love how you guys pronounced it and sung so smoothly. GOOD JOB!!

  • I love this song. We are singing it in choir this year. I'm a tenor and I love being able to hear my part sung so well.

  • DAM... That was pretty sick.
