They lost in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs the first few years cus Joe didn't perform in the playoffs, last year they got to the final 4 cus he played better than in the past but still not to his capabilities. If he plays in the playoffs like he does in the reg season, Sharks will win the cup.

Why am I a big Thornton fan? Cus the year before the lockout I was playing on a hockey team full of Bruin-hating Habs fans. One night, they were all knocking Joe and I told em say what you will he's the best player in the world, if he ever goes a year without getting suspended or injured he'll win the scoring title and the MVP and his winger will win the Rocket Richard trophy (I swear I said that before the lockout). They laughed at me but of course Joe proved me right the following season!!

Yah, I agree with one of you hockey fans. Someone should make a highlight film of him during any power play of the year. Im serious, Joe makes about 3 AMAZING passes per power play. His puck distribution is unheard of. Still the most underated player.

Boston management weren't "jerks" necessarily. Joe and Boston management disliked each other. Boston was really struggling, and they traded Joe away as a sort of "shake up"
