  • my 3rd cuz is bobby smith

  • Gianluigi Buffons uncle is an italian goal ;-)

  • stick it up the dirty deigo's arses

  • @butzee SUCK MY WANG YOU BARBARIAN LIL PIECE OF SCUM

  • I see that goalkeeping really can run in the family when you're Italy.

  • you see these very old videos and its baffiling that these guys were very skillful back then. 1-2 balls, through balls, chips. Professionals are goina be good in any generation, but these guys are on the same level as todays generation.

  • Jimmy Greaves there passing the ball into the net, as ever.

  • I would love to see Italy vs England in this years final

  • Is it just me or was football better then?

  • Oh this is Historic I never see Britain win Italy in football Game

  • It's actually England, not a GB XI, but close enough mate. Yeah, as we've already said on here: that Haynes, Robson, Hitchens, Swan, etc., England lineup weren't exactly a bunch of poseurs IMHO.

  • "Oh this is Historic I never see Britain win Italy in football Game"

Britain??? i hope you mean England, because there isn`t such thing as Britain in Football. England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland are all against each other and are separated in football. this just shows how much you know about English football. absolutely NOTHING.

  • haynes was such crap

  • Was he really? Well I suppose you spelt all the words correctly, Well done, teacher will be pleased!

  • if u dont like the truth then dont comment

  • Go play with your toys.

  • go play with your fellow inbred sister

  • You mean the player that Matt Busby, Pele, Eusebio, Beckenbauer, and many others said was the best pure passer/playmaker in the WORLD @ the time? Is that the same Johnny Haynes you're talking about?

  • I can see from the vids that he is slow and runs around like a carthorse. Thats enough for me to over rule all those duds.

Pele always praises England to win tournaments too over the last 20 years and it always amounts to crap. So he is the least qualified judgement wise. Franz is known for his sarcasm of all things English and Matt Busby no doubt had brain damage from Munich to make that comment if he ever did. And Eusebio....well he was about 6 when Haynes played. So doubt it.

  • Haynes looks slow in this vid because they used slower FILM back then. That's why the ball looks odd when it's moving fast. I actually SAW Haynes play play w/my own EYES; both for Fulham & England both. Haynes was as quick as anything, especially when seeing & making a key pass. & the Eusebio I'm talking about played @ the same time as Haynes; he played 4 Port. in the WC'66 Finals that Haynes missed due to being in a car accident. Which Eusebio r u talking about?

  • I'm with you Legendfamily, you are on the mark as usual. Eusebio, I believe was on his way to winning the European Cup with Benefica, if not that season, then surely the following...

Also... Sivori's goal... all very well, but how many other Argentinians or Uruguayians were 'guesting' for Italy?

  • Thanx once again for all the kind words, mate. On Haynes: it's a damn shame that "fans" seem to be forgetting the great players of the past. Especially considering that it was Haynes & his agent that broke the max wage system. I'll answer the rest via PM.

  • @seanreillyireland lojacono was also argentine. the rest of that line-up was italian

  • It's not like I really give a damn what u believe, but you can check the accuracy of my quotes very easily. Go on a search engine & type in "Matt Busby on Johnny Haynes", etc. You'll get direct quotes where Busby wishes that he had bought Haynes for United. You'll also get George Cohen saying "-over ten yards he was greased lightning." Bobby Robson also said that Haynes was the greatest playmaker he ever played or managed w/for Fulham OR England. Is that proof enough for you?

  • The game that put Villa's Gerry Hitchens in the shop window-within weeks he was on his way to Inter Milan.

  • great game, yes i saw the bad pass by robson to greaves around 4.00. greaves did v. well to recover and set up the goal, and then scores the winner! greaves is a LEGEND!!!

  • good to see ron springett and peter swan representing the owls, sadly it will be many a year before wednesday have england internationals if ever at all

  • Trappatoni giving the ball away? Bobby Robson providing a hospital pass to Jimmy Greaves who recovers the ball and powers through midfield to set up the second? It's all here if you look hard enough!
