  • Absolutely amazing! Really great job, Tom

  • Do you have any non Disney stuff? (Not that what is here isn't good and incredibly impressive, I'm just curious.)

  • I LIIIIIIIIIVVVVVEEEE

This totally makes me want to watch Mulan, the Lion King, all those movies again. :D

  • You are a legend Tom.

  • how many animators do you need to animate one character?

  • Perfect ! Love every second of it !

  • Hey I got to ask from being both an inbetweener and lead animator, what's the relation like between the two positions of lead and inbetween in the process of making animated motion pictures?

  • Looks like you animated just about all of my favourite Mushu-scenes :P But I suppose that is to be expected from the supervising animator, hehe!

    Great reel :)

  • Awesome Tom.

  • ... I got a looooong way to go

By any chance you dont know of anybody who would like to have an aprentice or something? You know.. to pass the knowledge XD That would be so awesome.

I will search for your books in the europeans stores.

  • Hello Tom, do you know of any books or resources that may help with animation beginners? I've always been very interested, so I thought you could help?

  • @rYiOkUn "Cartoon animation" by Preston Blair + "The animators survival kit" by Richard Williams will help you with the animation side. The rest will come from doing a LOT of life drawing. (Stuff like anatomy, perspective etc will help too, but don't neglect the life drawing. Take croquis lessons, grab a sketchbook and go to the local zoo and spend some hours just doing sketches of the animals (everything from 30sec gesture drawings to longer drawings))
