Practice does not count. No stress. Many players tighten up and then focus too much on mechanics and over-controlling their strokes. Anyone can play freely in practice with or without technical detials on the stroke. If you play practice sets, you are on the right path to practicing closer to match situations. Then you can play like you practice as long as you don't let the tension get to you.
Uh-uh, this doesn't make sense logically. In this video the guy is saying that his students lose matches because the focus on the "how-to" rather than allowing the muscle memory to take over and thinking strategically. The problem is that in the introduction he implies that the students play better in practice which is why they want to be able to play like they practice. Well, if that's the case, why would you want to do something DIFFERENT in the match than you do during practice.

answer is very simple... when people play matches especially juniors, is because when they practice they just go through the motions and not practice like they would want to play. even in matches the main prob is they want to try to win the point rather then sticking to what they want to do. If you play matches focusing on their goals and also do the same in practice.. you will have the same goal and play somewhat the same instead of doing everything

Focus on targets is great advice. Ideally deep to the corners in your groundstrokes!

This is very true.
My last matches I was too focus about applying the techniques of t my strokes, I see now why I was not getting good results.

If only I had access to a good coach or these videos back in high school. I dropped so many matches to people I whipped in tennis camp!
