I think it should be made mandatory to show this scene to every child, simply so they don't do drugs ... and also to scare the ever living crap out of them.
I love this movie! These artists took the Who`s song and made them their own! Personally,I prefer the movie versions to the Who`s versions of these songs.
I wasn't a big fan of the original Who version of Tommy; it sounded sterile compared to their earlier work. But the soundtrack had the edginess that was lacking in the original, not to mention the soul that Tina Turner brought in. I never saw the actual movie, but I'll have to add it to my NetFlicks queue; this clip, especially that iron maiden thing, is really disturbing (in a good way, of course).

2 HELLRAISERS TOGETHER KEITH MOON AND OLLIE REED 2 CHARACTERS YOU JUST COULDNT HELP LIKING! THIS IS A BRILLIANT SONG TINA TURNER ROCKS HER VOICE IS AWSOME.
I wish wish wish stars could be like this today rather then carbon copies. we had queen of sould queen of rock n soul, quen lioness Tina but today we get jack shit. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx love you Queen
This segment demonstrates John Entwhistles' procilivity for cranking out on the bass. He was one of the best! Pete throws out some good licks also. It is unfortunate that neiher John nor Keith could show up for the last Super Bowl Performance.
@Urbanhip123 It's Ron Wood on lead guitar on this, and John should still be here, he had a heart problem that he knew about and a problem like that and coke don't mix. Keith was fated to die young, when he died he had already cheated death at least 3 times
Ken Russell at his most psychedelic...Turner is fantastic here....Oh not forgetting Ann Margarette +the baked beans..every time I eat them I think of her!! lol
Whole movie is one amazing drugs trip(without Drugs) but try it WITH drugs a toatally mind blowing expeience , OMG turner and her legs are fantastic , Wow ,watta movie !!!!!
lol I showed one of my friends this scene and the pinball wizard scene with Elton John. Now he wants to see the rest of the movie. :D He cracked up at her face at 7:48. it was so funny to see his reaction.
pay me before i start..... gather your wits and hold on fast your mind must learn too roam just as the gypsy must do you gotta hit the road.......the who 4 ever yall
One of the very best musical performances ever caught on film. 1975 also gave us Tim Curry's masterpiece performance of "Sweet Transvestite" in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
One of the best songs of the film, and the performance of it at Woodstock in 69 (album came before movie, so don't start in on me that the movie wasn't made till 75).
I love that deep fat bass-line as well. Tina doing Acid Queen is certainly my favourite song of the whole movie. It's like she was just made for this part.
Seeing that iron maiden thing with all the hypodermics still gives me the creeps though. Especially that massive needle at the top, when the camera zooms in on it...it's just gross.
I disagree. The acid queen used a hypodermic to inject LSD. This is about an acid trip, that shocked him out of his catatonic state. (If anything could, that would be it!) She did not bother to have sex with Tommy. The movie depicts his trip.
Tommy was deaf, dumb, and blind. Remember the lyric from Pinball Wizard, "That deaf, dumb and blind boy sure plays a mean pinball!" But he wasn't really, he just saw his Dad kill someone and went crazy. Saw it on stage in London, 1979, man.
