As amazing as Jimmy's guitar playing is, the most exceptional performance here is probably that of John Bonham, the drummer.

John either anticipates or quickly adjusts to every move that Page makes, without missing a beat anywhere.

The guy was unreal, and I can fully understand why the rest of the band felt that they simply could not continue wthout him after John's death in 1980.

You can buy footage with soundboards synced to them. The 24th is the easiest to get hold of. I have the 24th on DVD, I brought it in some dodgy shop. The quality is poor but the concert was good. The 25th is harder to get hold of and the three other nights are virtually impossible to find, good audio of them exists though.

for the middle pieces, that appear all throughout the song. He plays them on the top part of the guitar, because they need 12 chords.

the top neck is 12 strings. It is basically a normal 6 string with a high string for each one. You play it the same as a 6 just sounds much more open. He recorded with a separate 12 and 6 for the studio and needed the great sound for live concerts.
