i think it's slightly sped up so that the whole show would fit on one record/CD. I've got who wears these shoes from this concert and the key it's in is a semitone higher than on the record

in the 80s he'd often go on stage stoned, so i wouldn't be surprised if this is a product of that. don't get me wrong, i love elton and i'm not a hater at all, it's just a fact he spoke about in a documentary i watched.

totally agree, still damn good how he could hit the top notes in those days, even when stoned or at the end of a concert. today the appearance of an ol granny but he'll always be a legend - amazing, love him
