  • bring tears to my eyes !! love you Johnny, forever!! he had such a truly love for June <3

  • My grandfather died shortly after my grandmother passed away. He had the same sadness in his eyes that Johnny does in this video after my grandmother passed. I can't imagine the pain and sadness of losing someone so close after so many years.

Thank you John and June for a legacy and lifetime of music! You guys are sorely missed....

  • happy father day johnny we love you. yes it is hard to watch this video that people dont show the legend some respect. Love you johnny xoxo god bless you and june

  • R.I.P johnny

  • were gettin annoyed by people walking past every 10 seconds...like sit still for the great man...r.i.p man in black

  • i wish this was on dvd somewhere, is it? i'll tell you what, he sounds really good in this video. obviously, grief stricken and dying but still out there to sing these songs and share his gift with the people. any real musician wants the same thing, to sing or play right before their death. RIP John Cash.

  • Oh my god, this is heartbreaking... Shot two months after June died, and two months prior to his own death. He died of sorrow, no question about it

  • A legend a true artist & a good man to the very end..rest in peace Mr Johnny Cash.

  • Listen to that prick who yells out in the middle of his speech...stupid young fuck. That's JOHNNY FUCKING CASH. I've been listening to him since the 50s, and he deserves some FUCKING respect.

  • The man in BLACK.

  • i wept..music doesnt normally move me as mcuh as this..im only 20 i dont cry eaasy!! rip

  • he looks like an old wise indian.man in black!

  • @marsopalijj You've no idea how observant you are.. Brother Cash had Cherokee ancestry :-)

  • @w5pda

Actually, he is 100% Scottish. In his last years, he did an actually family tree investigation and found he had absolutely 0% Native American lineage. Being part indian was quite trendy from the 50s to the 80s, but most people found that their indian ancestry was just a tall tale

  • @haitipi Then I will go back in time and tell the Dawes Commission they were wrong.

  • @w5pda

I really don't have the evidence either way. But I saw an interview where he went to trace his ancestry, and was shocked to find that he had no Indian blood in him. I think he looks more Indian than Scottish, but if the man says Scottish (and Irish?), I am not going to argue with the Man in Black about it. Does it really matter anyway? I think we are all missing that point!

  • @haitipi scottish and irish

  • amazing song! i want this played at my funeral

  • Sorry for the miss types I could not see the keyboard with them filling up as they were watching this, :)

  • I am the some age Johnny and June lived together and he has always been a part of my live and this film brought a lump in my throat I could not swallow, Thank you for posting this I'm so glad I got to see it, Rest peacefully your always our Highwayman in Black, :)

  • what can i say even when hes like this still playing guitar and singing johnny was and is still the best music evan though he passed away r.i.p jonny cash

  • Damn! Dude brings family and friends to perform for his last show. Some artists say it's just about the music. Johnny lived it always.

  • look at his hands they are all blue poor johnny.

  • look at the poor man.

i feel really sorry for him i hope he is in a better place now with june.

  • Throughout the entire video he looks lost within his thoughts...Completely heartbroken. Zoned out missing the love of his life, June.

Very sad, almost painful to watch!

  • A tired old man who lived his life for good and evil, and gave us so much in his songs and he had such a great personality with a big open heart, who gave us so lot to think about how quick life can be changed from happiness to sadness. the man in black, who made history and will never be forgotten.

  • It´s a strong and beautiful performance. The only sad thing is the poor quality, and that guy in front walking out while Cash is talking. I wish i was there. It would have been the biggest. One have to admire that Johnny Cash kept on making music till the very end.

  • i cry for this man, how i love you o cannot put in words, rest now, with june, missing you till my last breath

  • i think after she died he just gave up in life and pasted thats rilly sad

  • this is the firstvideo on youtube that i saw with zero dislikes

  • @brotherhood, you fuckhead. I'ma jam my cock down your throat until you die. Then when you go to hell your gonna get boned by the devil himself you stupid fuck! You're good Johnny, I got your back, rest in peace man! This is how I learned how to play guitar was listening to this legend's work of art.

  • :(((

  • I is sad

  • this is so sad that he couldnt even remember the cords he was really sick in this video god rest his soul along with june you are missed r.i.p johnny cash

  • This makes me really sad. I love this man. Something abut his eyes makes me want to cry. Everyday I wish I could have seen him perform live. He will be missed and so will June.

  • It hurts so bad? It was just a short vacation away from her. He knew he was dying here.

  • :( RIP Johnny

  • It makes me sad, when I look in the eyes of this broken man. His eyes say "I´m ready to go. June, I willl be there soon".

  • Makes me wanna cry

  • I've always liked Johnny -- his voice always said more than his great music! God love you Johnny and God bless June, the love of his life; Rest in Peace both of you.

  • Johnny CASH FORVER !! I was so sad when he died ! ;´( !! No one can ever replace that GREAT man !! RIP king of MUSIC !!

  • I feel so bad for him, he's so sick. God bless this man, who left an imprint on the music industry that no artist could compare to.

  • he just had to get thru this,,,,, an amazing amazing man,, wish the poeple there actually knew how awesome he was and not go back n forth,, so disrespectful to a true icon and gentleman, RIP Johnny

  • i cried when i see that !!!

  • That was pure emotion in his voice. That was his heart talking....Priceless.....

  • His hands are purple, and he's still going strong on the guitar. you can hear the sadness in his voice!

  • What guitar is he playing there?

  • Is it just me, or did his voice sound better the older he got?

  • @benitokicksass It sounds better, same with old George Jones!(:

  • I love you Johnny,

  • wow......very powerfull sad speach. We all can only hope to find someone that means that much to us.

  • god...what would I do if my lovely bride past before me?? this truley is a beautiful remembrance....

  • im GROWN ASS MAN AND I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES

  • @IIRy4nII

    me too!

  • Ok his sick but the onlly i kan say that hi is the KING in cuntrey.

  • Er hat uns gezeigt, daß er sterben will. Like a houndog, who shows the way he have chosen. Johnny, in my heart and in my mind - what ever you decide to do... you live for ever...

  • wow

  • beautiful...

  • damn that brought me to tears haha and im only 16.. amazing

  • wow, raw and real, real love, real man, real legend. thanks so much for posting

  • wow, this is so raw and real, Johnny Cash best entertainer of all time, it is so great that you posted this, THANKS SO MUCH!

  • hero-RIP johnny

  • It's pretty hard to watch this video, seeing that John is trying to tell people the way he and June felt about eachother, and the stuff about her birthday, and then there's the asshole that yells out "WE LOVE YOU JOHNNY!" I mean, seriously, shut up and listen to the man speak...

  • @KarnivalKings I totally agree with you I had the same thought why the hell is that guy yelling out.

  • this has to be the saddest video I've ever seen.

  • Mr.Cash is right...lost my mate last year...he's so right, the pain is the biggest....it still hurts so bad....rest in peace, H., love u 4 ever.

  • @shakingthru listening to johnny and what you wrote makes me want to go give my husband a big hug.

  • @tyler5wy1 Thanks. And don't wait, give that hug!

  • From what I understand, this was one of June's favorite songs...as it is mine. Many have said it is "sad" to see Mr. Cash like this, but this man was so far ahead of his time. He knew this image would be captured and he knew it would affect people. I honestly believe Mr. Cash was sent to this Earth as a Messenger,,,,,just look at his life and how he learned from it and taught us how to live and how to die. God Bless him forever! RIP Mr. Cash.

  • het doet mij pijn om dit te zien, hij en zij ze zijn er niet meer maar ik vind het zo triest deze opname......

  • johnny suffered from MSA. the same illness as my grandfather. it's horrible, trust me. His last months without June must've been so hard and lonely. but atleast now they're together..

  • WOW. For once I am somewhat speechless. This is what life is all about.

  • the way they act is like say someone in their family walked up to them and said im going to die and they said rlly and turned away and talked about what there going to eat for diner or how much money they have. how do u think that person would fill.

  • how do u think he fells. no one acts likes nothing wrong. exept his family members sitting behind him.if i were there id slap anyone who was talking there and tell them to sit the hell down. and i would do it because people like that have no respect like a said a second ago

  • the people in the video of him

  • and its damn rude that everyone is acting like nothing wrong. thouse people should sit the hell down and listen to the man. i hate it when people do that. yall have no respect what so ever

  • what he talks about at the begining about made me cry

  • This song is about a man waiting to die and be taken to heaven, he is saying goodbye to everybody in this song, and telling June he will see her soon.

  • What is sad is that this man is giving a very emotional testimony about the love he had for he wife, and people are talking, walking around, passing water bottles.... it's not a circus act. Show some respect people!

  • omg.. this is so sad.. i know cash is immortal, but i hate to see him like this!

    he was so amazing!

  • @plotchickens do you have a heart, just wondering. One day you'll get old.

  • @plotchickens guess not!!!!

  • I love Johnny but I hate to see him like this.

  • He is so sick in this video so it's just a sad video.

But we miss you cash down here!

But in our hearts, you will never die!

    Your music will never die!

    R.I.P the king of country!

  • @plotchickens .....i kill you, son of a bitch, ill stick my penis in your mothers face when she dies

  • @plotchickens

    Simply fuck you! ;-)

  • @Bortherhood We miss him! And he is sick in this video, but he will never leave us! Johnny Cash is always here!

  • I was fortunate to visit there graves the other day they had the true meaning of love down to an art even in death they are side by side the way it should be next generation learn from them.

  • i know how he feels about june

  • It is heartbreaking to watch...miss you Johnny

  • FYI this was a song in the movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou". The song is about a person who knows he is on the cusp of letting go of his earthly life and is speaking to the angels. He obviously picked this song for a reason.

  • GREAT UPLOAD,THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • =`(

  • never mind, found out the song is Angel Band.

  • even after june's death and the illness he had at the time, he still did what he did best on earth: Perform music!!

  • what is the name of the song johnny is singing in tribute to june is it immortal home?

  • This is for June.

  • i cant believe only 14000 people have watched this video

  • I wonder if that little girl knows exactly how wonderful that moment in her life was......

  • R.I.P johnny cash the one who took the pain to show us the light

  • now he's with june and im sure they are singing in heaven for god. RIP johnny and june we love you

  • Johnny is as real as it gets, a true icon and a one of a kind great true talent, thanks for everything Johnny! we miss you. you are a great one! we love you r.I.p.........

  • This is the sadest video I've seen on YouTube. You can see the pain on Johnny's face. RIP

  • This video is by far the most memorable video I've seen on YouTube. A true, true treasure. Johnny sang a song titled "A Thing Called Love." He knew from the heart with June.

  • Much Respect

  • Damn these words broke my heart.

These Guy is definately the greatest Artist of our time

  • One Voice, One Guitar.......THE LEGEND.

    I love you Johnny

  • OMG i cry´t when i saw this part

  • WOULD YOU PEOPLE SIT THE HELL DOWN???

    Awesome upload... Thank

  • Incredible. Just incredible.

  • JOHNNY CASH<3!!!

  • What a GREAT man...My only wish is that god could have creacted more like him !!!! REST IN PIECE JOHNNY AND JUNE THANKS FOR THE GREAT MEMORYS

  • OMG he's talking about missing June and I can't stand it...hard to imagine this king of country music missing his queen. So sad.

  • the man standing at 1:58 is John Carter Cash...do i need to tell you who his parents are??

  • It's not that he seems so frail, here. Not that he's so distant, pale and obviously ill. What makes it a hard performance to watch is that the crowd is so detached from what they're witnessing. His last try at pleasing an audience which seems so willing to treat his gift as common and unimportant. Had they known how important this was to him, would they have been more reverent?

  • I could not agree more. I couldn't believe that woman more worried about a water bottle than what Johnny was saying when he was talking about June. I'll never understand how tuned out people can be, and how self-centered most people are.

  • She's in the moment -- trying to help the band by giving them some water -- watch the whole show and you'll see Johnny taking a sip or two to lubricate the aged pipes. His voice is powerful even in its weakness. Rest in peace, Johnny, and thanks for what you gave while you were here.

  • Johnny befriended me when i was very young. He used to come to my small little town in oregon. He played at a little place that they tore down a few years ago called Lindy's. I was just a little kid who in his eyes seen him as a hero. He & June always remembered me, Sent me X-mas cards, and always looked me up when they came to town. I miss them dearly and this video as sad as it is to watch is a testament of the devotion they had for what they did.

    R.I.P. Old friend.

  • where was there this performance? Very hard to watch Johnny in this video, is visible your suffering.

Great Johhny, with us for ever.

  • Beautiful.

  • so hard to watch

  • Found it hard to watch tho xxxxxx

  • Reunited Sept 03 RIP

  • Love Johnny and June. Thanks for the video of John's last days. He is truely a great legend. I'm glad to see that he played and did what he loved up till his last days. He just could not bear to be without June. They are 2-gether again at last --as how it should be.

  • thank you for the video.........

  • Johnny Cash, one of the greatest men ever to have lived. I hope you rest in peace wherever you are , love from Sweden

  • Simply the greatest american artist and gentleman that ever lived.

  • This is tough to watch. What a remarkable man. R.I.P.
