I think bose is great i grew up with alot of there products in vehicles the wave music system ect. I own a acoustimass 10 system and it was the best system ive ever owned. And ive had paradigm, infinity all those so called high end speakers and i was disappointed with all of them. You either love bose or you hate bose there isnt an in between. Yet people still jump on the bose bash wagon.

Bose invented the satellite speaker format that is often imitated in the computer world today. Bose also invented reflective speaker and noise cancellation. So many 'audiophiles' who claim bose is overpriced don't know what they are talking about. I am a musician and a pilot and in both industries, Bose is extremely well respected. Even NASA and amphitheater uses Bose. There is no better aviation headset than Bose!

@chris73018 Dunno about that Bose Quiet Comfort and B&W's P5's are the same price but depends on what you look for. If i where to choose it'll be the Bose's, they have superior noise cancellation. But for sound quality i'll have to see the specs.

I did try the new brand headphones like Dr Dre...it sounds like garbage! I am a music producer and I find Bose the best consumer or professional aviation headphones. For studio monitoring, I use Sennheiser. Though I always enjoy listening through Bose more than any other headphone.

I am a music producer and a pilot and in both these industries, I find Bose owns the rest. I use Sennheiser studio headphones for accurate monitoring when recording but always enjoy the $300 bose headphones for that rich depth of quality for listening to produced music. In the aviation world, there is none better than bose. Not surprising since Bose pioneered noise cancellation. Most professional airlines' airplanes (Airbus, Boeing) have Bose headsets in them...Amphitheater, NASA..

If you're a producer, you'd be the first who uses I) headphones for monitoring and II) uses Bose for listening produced music!

Definitely not the first one! There are many of my friends who graduated from Berklee school of music who agree with me. The only annoying thing about Bose is they don't post technical specs on their products. However, for fit, form, price and function (combo), nothing beats Bose on a consumer level.

Flat frequency monitoring is essential in the studio but once the music is produced, all people care about is the sound quality and resolution. ANd with my Bose IE2 earphones ($100/pr), I can hear fidelity (mid/low/high), SPL, S/N ratio (not much jarring) to be really good. The frequency response seems to be definitely beyond human hearing range (20hz-20khz).

@rana8029 The quality of Bose speakers is so damn good, its hard to compromise on price. They are not cheap here in u.s. either. If you must have a Bose speaker thats less pricey , try their small computer speakers. 100 usd is the cheapest (about 4000Rs). Try their showrooms.

The best? I own Paradigm speakers, and they're part of the Monitor line, which is within Bose's price range. And that's Paradigm's BUDGET line. The Studio series speakers cost over twice the price of the Bose Lifestyle 48, and Paradigm's Reference Signature series can cost up to 8x as much. Is Bose better than this?

@falkenlaser Either way you are comparing a different type of gear to the bose, Paradigm and Bose have a fifferent sound signature and are build tor a differenty type of listener. Most Paradigm and th elike listeners listen to a music that is "more refined" and thus needs a more sparse/flat sound signature, the Bose/ nearly any other "well known" brand audio company makes speakers for people who listen to more "urban/ Electronic" style of music, that already has lots of Bass and Treble.

But, you need to consider that Bose's Acoustimass modules cannot play as low as a real subwoofer. And, their D/R cubes and Jewel Cubes lack tweeters, so they cannot play as high as speakers built with tweeters.

On the other hand, all of Paradigm's speakers are built with tweeters (metal dome ones, which by nature have high-treble), so can play much higher than Bose's cubes. And, all of Paradigm's subwoofers are real subwoofers, therefore can play lower than Bose's Acoustimass module.

@desijatt777 And if you wanna talk bass, watch the video "Bose Speakers Lifestyle V35 vs. Paradigm Speakers (Prototype)" The subwoofer in that video has more bass than you've probably ever heard in a home. And, if you got all the speakers in this system, plus the A/V receiver, and a multi-function remote, it'd be about $3300; the same price as Bose's Lifestyle V35. And, I'm guessing you've NEVER heard a system of this quality.

I'd say if most people heard a brand like Paradigm, or Wharfedale, PSB, B&W (the list goes on), they wouldn't have got Bose. Bose has their advertising set to where the average consumer who is looking for higher-end audio only thinks of Bose. But, Bose rips people off considering how much they charge, for you can get MUCH better-sounding and more capable equipment for the same price and less.

While sound is kind of objective, I'd say Paradigm is a better company than Klipsch. ALL of their parts are built by the company in their factory in Canada. The only thing they ship overseas is their cabinets, but I believe they are still built in the factory, and only assembled in other countries. Paradigm is also a much better company to deal with compared with Klipsch. The dealer I go to sold Klipsch for awhile, but their policies were a pain to deal with (shipping, warranty, etc.).

Dude, give up already! I already heard you...go buy some whoopsy-doopsey premium speakers from Dynaudio or Genelec and enjoy. Even India has a speaker company called 'Sonodyne' that sounds better than Bose in some ways.

@desijatt777 I've heard Bose's Lifestyle 48 and the new V35 both in Bose dealers (one was an authorized dealer that had other brands). But, I've also heard systems made by other brands that cost same as Bose's systems. And, I can tell, along with many other people, that these other brands make Bose sound terrible. Have you ever heard anything that costs the same as Bose? Check out my videos. Those systems destroy Bose's speakers, and they cost the same.
