Yugoslavia was in-depended communist country open to the all nations, Nothing like Russia, But it was much more democratic: free education, medical, dental, right to work and right for any religion. RICH POOR= EVEN RIGHTS, GOOD LIFE YOU COULD BE ANYTHING YOU EVER WANTED WITHOUT $1.Marshall Titos creation of truth freedom,Except that there was few political parties and one was leading and all the others were ether in jail now days its much worse.
I was born in 85', Even with all the lack, I really miss those times and after the revolution when life was simple and not money hypnotised, when people stood up for what they belived, and there are a lot of them left too.
This video is pretty stupid. Close to no one had the internet back in those days, same with pc gaming. Also, the change is "skin deep"? Are you serious? The change is dramatic! Along with all the other corrections people are making, you can tell the creator of this video didn't know what he was doing half the time.
I was one of those people, was just 10 months old when the Romanian Revolution unfolded, and 3 years old when I went to the United States of America! Great Video Thank You
From the begining the Christians are fighting, first 350 years killing each other for claiming different versions of Bible to be a word of God. than came cruisadors, killing others in the name of Christianity. Look Hitler a CHRISTIAN killed 6000000 jews. George Bush a CHRISTIAN killed millions of innocent people in Iraq alone , In Afghanistan hundreds of thousands of innocent ppl. in the name of so callec war on terror, 1992 ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims in the heart of civilised nations
Man u must now that Yugoslavia was never part of eastern bloc. We were TOTALY independent. And in Yugoslavia life was much better than today, we had very good life standard, we could travel everywhere, we had strong army, developed industry. Today we are screwed with nationalism and western states like Germany, Holland, G. Britain and USA. And i really dont know why have u used some videos from Yugoslavia for your clip. Yugoslavia had nothing to do with Soviets, u will just confuse people.
Well, in the West we did have our Apple ][+ and Atari 2600. I was in Cub Scouts and later NJROTC...not all that different from the Young Pioneers, etc. We all seemed to adore Reagan like a grandfatherly figure. We had the movie Top Gun and everyone wanted to be a Navy fighter pilot. The similarities are sometimes just as striking.
The kids in the West (USA) also didnt have the Internet in the 80s the government and the universities did but not the public. 1991 World Wide Web was created and only a few could afford $2.95 a minute.
Pc and Pc games took off in mid 90s
So, until mid 90s we too where kicking the ball around just like you
i went to poland recently with a polish freind who now lives in london and his father who went all through this shit you saw in this video said to me 20 years ago all there was on the shelf at the supermarket was bread and vinegar and he was a farmer
say honestly do they eat more now in slovania i think not hows it feel to join the capitalist world have all your pretty girls chasing money your men working all day for nothing welcome to capitalism say good bye to your culture welcome 2 the culture of work or starve youll work your life away and when your in your death bed youll say where did it all go cause you couldent stick out the hardships of revolution you had to have your cokeacola and levis jeans i spit on e.u. Marksism 4 life
I remember some good things, like Peace Race :-) In capitalist times we have no sport competiotion which would get us so many emotions. But generally I can't say to much good things about those times. Problems with fruits, sweets, electricity, gas, central heating (in 80-ties winters were really cold sometime), spending hours, or even days and nights to could buy anything in shops, no posibility to travel abroad etc.
2) I was not a member of any pionier organization. In fact, I'm not sure if in Poland was an organization like that.
3) I don't remember crying after death of ony politician leader. Mayby because none o important polish leaders died in 80-ties, mayby because I don't remember;
4) I didn't have a PC, but I had an Amiga with many computer games :-)
We had communist organizations for youths, but not for few years old children :-). For middle school (15-19 years old) children and students, for young farmers, or for young soldiers - all of them where united in Polish Socialist Youth Union (today their leaders are top "social-democratic" politics :-)). But organizations which were in that "PSYU" weren't for children fron primary school or younger.
I've checked. Not after 1956. During stalinist time we had. They were called OH ZMP, and it was a paramilitary organizations for small children controlled by communist party.
We Yugoslavs were NEVER part of the Eastern Bloc. All the things Dubcek and Nagy wanted to achieve, we had in our socialist Federation.
We could travel all over the world without visa and the world was able to visit us without problems.
Now the nations of the former Yugoslavia are run by scumbags.......... I miss the days of MY president Josip Broz Tito because I knew everything he did, he did for US and not for himself or his family.
Europe needs a Tito now, STRONG, UNITED and INDEPENDENT !

I was born in '84. I support this with all my heart.
I miss the fun I really had as a child, I miss the true feelings of dignity and pride of belonging to a nation.
I do not miss the scarcity of food, the endless ques, the fear of speaking.
Why can't we find a balance?
Is it that hard to live in dignity and to be free at the same time?

Of course I remeber (I was born in 1981), but:
1) Yugoslavia wasn't a part of our block;
2) I was not a member of any pionier organization. In fact, I'm not sure if in Poland was an organization like that.
3) I don't remember crying after death of ony politician leader. Mayby because none o important polish leaders died in 80-ties, mayby because I don't remember;

1) Yugoslavia was a communist country, so you could say it was "one of us". :P
2) I don`t know about Poland, but every communist country had a commie organization for the youth and an organization for the children.
