@MokomaSusi yea that should be enough target practice for NATO thanks for the update on numbers the book I was using was only up to date to 2001 so it was a little out of date and since the production of T90s is considerably time consuming given Russia's economy I doubt they pumped out that many t90s in that amount of time and if you could get a reference for that info it would be appreciated. I listen to all info and am still convinced NATO tanks are better.

I think the Leclerc is a great example of everything the T80 is not. Three man crew, sophisticated, reliable and compartmentalized autoloader / ammo. Hard hitting gun, state of the art fire control system, great mobility and decent armor. If the starting engineering concept was as mentioned, than the French have achieved that goal with stunning results. The Russian tank while conceptually similar, is nowhere close to the craftsmanship or lethality of the Leclerc.

The capitulation of france was signed in the same wagon as germany signed the capitulation in WWI. The war was over for France

The Leclerc is the most technologically advanced Tank. It can run on the road at 90 km / h and 70km / h off-road, it can pass over a river under water.
It can shot a target driving at 40km/h off-road and hit a target at 4000m, which is itself moving at 60km/h. It takes about 2400 tanks type T-72 or 1200 Leopard 2/M1 Abrams to defeat 400 Leclercs.

@MokomaSusi yea that should be enough target practice for NATO thanks for the update on numbers the book I was using was only up to date to 2001 so it was a little out of date and since the production of T90s is considerably time consuming given Russia's economy I doubt they pumped out that many t90s in that amount of time and if you could get a reference for that info it would be appreciated. I listen to all info and am still convinced NATO tanks are better.

I think the Leclerc is a great example of everything the T80 is not. Three man crew, sophisticated, reliable and compartmentalized autoloader / ammo. Hard hitting gun, state of the art fire control system, great mobility and decent armor. If the starting engineering concept was as mentioned, than the French have achieved that goal with stunning results. The Russian tank while conceptually similar, is nowhere close to the craftsmanship or lethality of the Leclerc.

The thing is that they learned from the first war. They were very well prepared for WWII. How could have they fight after Dunkirk? The French army was crushed, pushed into a narrow corridor, along with the Brits that weren't much better. But again, they only had the British Expeditionary Force, the french had their whole army. The capitulation of france was signed in the same wagon as germany signed the capitulation in WWI. The war was over for France
