  • There is a Javascript game like this on the Web. It's called "MEM - Man eats Monkey".

  • I dont think that these sequences are random. I think the monkey has learnt maybe four or five different sequences. He can remember the look of each of the sequences. But nevertheless it is really very impressing!

  • not a guy in monkey suit its real and aamzing

  • thats jus a guy in a monkey suit duhhhh

  • it is not. I saw this footage in a documentary. they really can do that :o

  • Damn

  • Boh!

  • I notice a few comments asking what science has done etc... I don't think science has impacted on anything in this scenario only to point out that evidently, monkeys are obviously more adapted to short term memory tasks and specifically, this skill outdoes most humans. Maybe this is a good indicator that just because monkeys can't communicate their ideas effectively to humans, doesn't mean that they are unable to do other things maybe even conceptualize or even think inferior to humans.

  • They sure love to take eachother up the bum though. But hey, so do intelligent people.

  • that is amazing

  • whoa...

    thats amazing

  • Holy shit!!! Poor monkey!!!

  • What has science done!? D:

  • evolution gave these animals a better short term memory because they are wild creatures that need to be alert at the moment, there cognitive thinking skills are no where near ours .

  • I wouldnt say no where near ours dough. We know how to think about different stuff, but we are still not that far out.

  • @pvtareas Agreed.

Though another part of it is, that most of the non-verbal animals use images to think, and thus are able to recall images with greater clarity.

An example of how this difference between us and animals isn't a pure advantage.

  • @pvtareas I say you're just jealous.
