got the vinyl as a dj and loved it instantly..another level of ambience and a new dimension to my record box...never played it out live but expander and rabbitweed made it in to a very late and blurry night, to appreciate this tune you shouldnt hear it in a club...i think my taxi was a mitsubishi..lol...they were the best...
This is an incredible EP, all tracks on it are amazing. Also on the 12" this particular track one of those rare ones that sounds as fantastic played at 45rpm as it does at the standard 33rpm here.
Sasha Melendez's music gets into your soul. The Rabbitweed mix is dank...Killer study music till the mind starts wandering. I owned this record but let it go to friend on trade. Good thing for the tube
there's millions of us who love this music but why only 49k hits for the greatest track of all, i just dont understand!!! in a thousand years time this will still sound so fresh and as i'm typing this; where's the end of the song??? pretty sure there's another 5mins to go!!!!
think i was 28 when this came out ,cant emphasise how this EP on a whole made my thinking and aproache to life changed , it was the young naive 19 year old pink floyd moment all over again , thanks Alex
The best progressive ambient selection I have ever heard in mine or anyone else's existence. Oh, and "Progressive" IS a genre of music, for those who feel it is not.
@staind531 What the hell. Go back to your cave, troll. How dare you disgrace yourself in the comments section of one of the greatest tunes of all time.
This isn't progressive. Progressive isn't *even* a genre. This is ambient, downtempo, or possibly "chill-out" (hate that categorisation). Even better, just don't try and categorise it... because Sasha defies all categories. So, STFU and enjoy the music.
@bertydastard I can call it whatever i want. you can call it what you want ..but that doesnt make you right , You obviously have a good taste in music if your listening to sasha so it doesnt matter what "genre" you think it is you fucking clown
Great piece of music, totally different in style to Xpander so I wont compare them. Both are fantastic in their own unique way. Ohmna is another good track by Sasha to check out.
possibly the most beautiful tune I've ever heard from my hero, everytime I hear this track it brings floods of memories back and fetches tears to my eyes, fook my I'm in tears now lol respect to the man SASHA!!!!!
This song has to be the best thing I have ever heard in my life. It is a culmination of perfection in its genre. I became a huge fan of Dj Sasha because of this very song, and love everything he has done.
Sasha's ambient(downtempo) masterpiece. Without a doubt one of the greatest ambient tracks ever released. The amount of intracacy, depth, texture, and sophistication of this track is incredible. Till this day, I hear new sounds and depth when I play this track. It's ironic that Sasha has yet to produce another track with this level of thought. Then, again I would say this track is as perfect as it can get. Thanks Kikinlarge for posting. Another QUALITY post indeed.

Starting with 6:00, does anyone notice how the beat (particularly the snare) is reminiscent of Autechre's in their track, Cipater?
DJDustKut 7 months ago
@DJDustKut
Yes. It's sampled from Cipater.
